Who: Knuckles and assorted friends take a short vacation. (Even if you didn't reply to his initial entry about it, feel free to come along.)
What: Hanging out on Angel Island for the weekend.
Where: Angel Island. Yep. Bet you didn't see that one coming.
When: Late afternoon on Friday through to Sunday morning. (Backdate land aaa sorry I had work.)
Warnings: WHO KNOWS!?

It had been something more of an open invitation this time, so, the group was a little different than his last trip to Angel Island with friends. Actually, most of the people who went the first time were no longer at school. Big, Bark, Katrina, Fawful, Blaze, Marine, Siren. It was a little sad to think of the fun time they had had a little over a year ago, being they were all gone now. Still - This weekend would make up a brand new crop of memories.

It wasn't too long of a trip once you got out of the harbor. He'd made sure to set her down close by the shoreline when he'd parked his small continent in the sea.

The ferry he'd rented pulled up at the beach and the dock he and Bark had quickly constructed out of logs and rope last year in anticipation of the first group trip. Some people were probably going to bring thier own transport over and that was fine. It wasn't exactly a hard place to find, after all.

((OOC: So people seemed pretty happy with the idea of doing some sprite pictures like the last one. If your character already has some sprite sheets, feel free to use those. If not, I've made a couple for a couple people and I'll try doing more. XD Otherwise, if you want to do regular pictures or photoshops or what have you, those are more than fine too. Or, if you don't want to do anything, that's cool too! It's not like it's mandatory bra. XD Just have fun. Use other characters sprites in your stuff, but try keep everything IC.

So, P. much I'll post up some locations and you guys can start threads for your dudes wherever you like and other people can join in. If you have never played Sonic 3 and Knuckles, you could check out this video here. It's a little over a half hour long but it has the entire game. XD If anyone wants to see any other environemnts from the games here, let me know and I'll make them! ))

Normally, Lash would have brought something, but she really wanted to relax today. She rode in Knuckle's ferry, bringing a large back filled with both recreational objects and more serious ones. The trip over, she stepped down and let the warm beach sand move around in her sandals.

"This is much warming than the weather at school!" There were even palm trees and really odd looking plants. Good thing she had brought a few tools to help her work.

((Boo LJ ate my tag. Don't blame me if you get two slightly different ones. XD ))

Knuckles grinned at her. "Yeah - I guess we're a little closer to the equator here. And it's a sunny day. If it were raining I bet itt'd be cold and stuff."

He was looking forward to showing Lash around especially. From what small amount she'd told him about her early years, she'd not really been somewhewre like this unless it was with a platoon of tanks and on the way to a battle. He wanted to show her all the weird fruit that only grew here, and also give her a Chao egg. She seemed really interested in them and he wanted her to be able to raise one from scratch. It was an indication of how much he trusted her that he wanted to let her keep one... after the way his people had treated them in the past, he saw it as his responsibility to ensure thier happiness and safety.

The feelings were mutual. Lash hadn't felt this excited since they had gotten into the mansion of their foe, and that was nearly a month ago. Speaking of birdbrain, he'd been...terribly quiet lately. More so than usual.

She looked back at the razor sharp plants and gave Knuckles a look. "How dangerous are these?"

"Those? Not too dangerous if you know to avoid them. Otherwise, they can cut you. Not BAD or anything. Kinda like a paper cut. There's some berry bushes with thorns too, but apart from that, everythings pretty safe."

This was getting interesting. She was already near one of the plants, poking it curiously.

"Nothing poisonous? Are the berries eatable?"

"Nothing poisonous. Except maybe the leaves of some of the plants, I guess?" Knuckles replied, trying to think of anything. "I dunno. I never tried eating everything around here, but I'm sure there's probably one or two things you shouldn't eat. All the fruit is OK though."

Lash nodded and carefull plucked one of the fruits from the plant. She twirled it around in her hand, admiring.

"Is it sour or sweet?"

"That one you have in your hand is gonna be pretty sweet." Knuckles said with a grin. "Actually, most of the fruits here are... That's why I tend to eat them a little less than completely ripe. I like a little sourness and tartness to my fruit most of the time."

"Oh!" Well, with that confirmed she no longer hesitated and plopped the entire fruit into her mouth. The taste was like a cross between a blueberry and peanut butter. There was a large seed, which she spit out after she was done.

"It's not bad!" She took out a plastic container and put a few of them inside. "You don't mind if I take some of these to analyze in the labs, right? Well, as soon as they finish rebuilding them anyway."

"Sure! You could take whatever you want - I'm gonna bring back some more seeds and things for the greenhouse and stuff. It should be fine, so long as we're careful not to let the stuff we take back grow out of control." he replied with a grin.

"Got it!" She turned around and took out a thick glove as so not to get cut, and started collected samples from nearly everything she could find.

"Have fun! If you've got any questions, just come find me!" Knuckles called after her. She looked like a kid in a candy store. A candy store of science.
