SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING...



The entire school has become covered in mistletoe over night. It grows out of the walls! The ceilings! Everywhere you least expect it? HOW CAN THIS BE??

It's probably best not to think about it. Attempts to uproot the plants or burn them away only makes the plants grow back faster. For the time being, it seems the school is stuck with them.

+ Some (NOT ALL) plants are cursed. If you manage to step under a cursed plant, you are glued to the spot until you receive a kiss.

Ron is gonna be trying to actively avoid some of the mistletoe plants for the first day, but after that he'll probably forget. Will he be caught under the mistletoe?

Mistletoe is unavoidable. And eventually, Gold will find Ron under the mistletoe. And whenever he does, he will shout, "HEY!"

Luckily for Gold, Ron had to be trapped under some at least once, making it impossible for him to flee with impressive speed. Had he been able to, Ron would have jumped 10 feet off the ground with how surprised he was after hearing Gold's shout, but his feet were glued to the floor.

"Aaah!" he yelped, swiveling around to figure out who it was. "Ahhhhh... ah... Wow."

Gold couldn't help snickering at the nervous dude's reaction. Ron was a nice enough guy, but he seemed to get worked up pretty easily...!

"Heh heh! Sorry if I scared you! It's just. Well, you're standing under mistletoe! I can't let you walk away without giving you a kiss!" the trainer explained carefully, smiling at Ron.

Ron rocked back and forth in place. "Ah... I can't seem to let m-myself walk away, either," he replied, sounding to be in despair. "If that wasn't already clear."

What could he do? He couldn't run, so that was out...

"Oh, you're stuck!" Gold replied, sympathy showing in his still-excited grin. "Well, lean down just a little and I'll free you! It'll be over in just a second, okay?"

"Really? W-Will you do that for me?" asked Ron, shocked. "I would appreciate that, y-yeah..."

Sorry, Ron. No one can avoid the yuletide mold! So, hey, get caught with this guy who can't seem to stop being cursed with swapping spit for the rest of the holiday season.

Sonic just stared up at Ron with an awkward smirk, ears drooping forward. This has happened enough times to the point Sonic's almost stopped caring.

"Y'know, I'm not the kinda guy who kisses strangers, sooooooo it might be a good time to share that name of yours, huh?"

Hey, they were stuck anyway. He may as well try.

The security guard gulped nervously. "Ahuum... Ah," he stuttered, feeling that weighted sensation of being unable to move his legs.

"Are... Are you trying to tell me that y-you won't let me go until I give you... M-My name...?"

"Bingo," Sonic chimed with a sharp grin. "Y'owe me one, remember?" What a blackmailing little snot. You're used to this, Ron, aren't you?

Ron twiddled his thumbs, wondering whether or not he should comply with Sonic's request. It couldn't hurt, could it?

"Well," he began, "it isn't as though you could sign me up for blind dates anymore... It's December now." Yes, that is true, and certainly a good way to reassure himself. "So, umm, o-okay. My name... I-It's Ron. Is that enough...?"

It's charm. I swear.

"R-Really!? Well, I guess I should have seen it coming, since it's not as though it's an uncommon name," acknowledged Ron, naively accepting Sonic's word as fact. "Even so, m-my name really is Ron..."
