Sometimes... Sometimes people just needed things. Basic necessities, food, clothes, video games... Of course, after the big Angry Birds attack a few days ago, it was likely people needed to replace broken things too. (How did that even happen anyway...)
Whatever the reason, the mall was the place to be.

He blushed a little. No-one had ever said anything like that to him before! He had no ability at all to sense deception, so, no, you totally win this one, Acacia. "Oh, uh, and it looks fine. Nice. Nice and fine...?"
He was no good at compliments yet. Time to change topics!
"I've been good. Just training really hard. Go to a place in town to do a special kind of exercise called crossfit! And I train a pupil in the mornings, too!"

"...Just 'nice and fine'?" she said, not completely satisfied with the compliment. She'll take it, though. His precious innocence was satisfying enough.
"You've got a pupil? That sounds pretty cool. Does that make you a master?"

Pretty was a thing girls liked to be called, right? That was an OK thing to say? Who even knew. Why was this so hard.
"I guess it kinda does." This was a more easily discussed topic. "I'm teachin' her how to be tough and how to fight. She's really brainy and whatever, but she can't fight for peanuts. I'm gonna fix that for her."

She didn't know what to expect they'd feel like, but now seemed as good a time as any and she grinned at its smoothness.
"So, who is this girl exactly? Really brainy, huh? So... a nerdy type then? What's her name?" she asked out of pure curiosity.

Excuse him for a moment while his brain bleeds into his cheeks.
"Uhh... who?" he asked, completely distracted from her question for a moment before remembering. "Oh! Uh, her name is Wave. She's on the school security staff. She's from my world, but is some kind of alien-genie-bird. She's cool. Mostly."
