Sometimes... Sometimes people just needed things. Basic necessities, food, clothes, video games... Of course, after the big Angry Birds attack a few days ago, it was likely people needed to replace broken things too. (How did that even happen anyway...)

Whatever the reason, the mall was the place to be.

"Phfft. As if that's even possible." Bulba had a long way to go before he could even start to venture into the territory of 'too spoiled'. Considering how much time he spent into taking care of everyone else, even catching up to him was a feat.

"Well, I'm apparently too good've a person t'take advantage of your naivety," Vinnie said, loftily poking fun of his own ineptitude at deception as he tussled Bulba's hair for peeking back at him.

A small bubble of warmth sat comfortably in Bulba's chest again in the moment. "Just another reason to love you," Bulba said fondly between all of his lingering giggles. It felt good to say it freely, that there was nothing wrong with saying it as many times as he liked. Little shared moments like these tended to be his favorite time to pepper the other saur in affections.

"Next time you should totally throw everyone off by acting really weird in front of something off the wall so people will think you're buying... I don't know, a lamp," he continued on naturally, gesturing a hand at random things.

Vinnie chuckled. "I don't think I'm sly enough t'pull that off. Never was a good actor," he said. All that misdirection sounded like a lot of shrewd planning and effort. And he wasn't terribly good at being anything but himself.

With a quick smooch to Bulba's ear, he added, "I'll pick up the red bean paste and meet you back at your room, 'kay?" Just to avoid any further mishaps with shopping and ruined surprises.

Bulba's ear flicked against Vinnie's cheek as he peeped a little at the sudden motion. Clearly Vinnie was just a different sort of sly. The younger saur wiggled around to face him forward and give him a look, all sorts of amused and resigned.

"Alright, alright," he allowed. "I'll leave it in your capable hands." Not one to let Vinnie get away with being the only one handing out smooches, Bulba gently tugged him down to give him one of his own.

"Then I'll see you at home."
