merry merry christmas, and I want you to know

Who: YOU
What: KISSLETOES
When: December 14th - January 1st
Where: Everywhere
Warnings: Sloppy makeouts.

SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING...

title or description

The entire school has become covered in mistletoe overnight. It grows out of the walls! The ceilings! Everywhere you least expect it? HOW CAN THIS BE??

It's probably best not to think about it. Attempts to uproot the plants or burn them away only makes the plants grow back faster. For the time being, it seems the school must live with it.

[OOC INSTRUCTIONS:
+ Post dudes, get kisses!
+ Some (NOT ALL) plants are cursed. If you manage to step under a cursed plant, you will exchange a memory when or if you exchange a kiss. The memories will be first-person and very vivid, and characters will feel like they are experiencing the memory in real time, though in reality the transfer is instantaneous. Memories can be as short, long, happy, sad, or traumatic as you like.
+ If you'd like to participate, we highly suggest making a list of a few memories (with accompanying links/descriptions) that are up for grabs, and linking or posting the list in your top-level comment. Memory exchange is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. When in doubt, OOC communication!
+ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAG YOUR CHARACTERS
+ That's it, we love you.

Vinnie had to wonder if Jolt really knew what he was asking for. It was a two-way street, and there were plenty of memories the Venusaur wanted to keep to himself - not just terrible (though those were in fair supply as well), but also the embarrassing, the secret and the intimate.

All the same, he still couldn't walk away from someone who needed help. Especially since being stuck in one place was probably the very definition of hell for Jolt. With a disgruntled sigh, Vinnie shuffled over to him and muttered, "If y'say so."

Still a little wary of any lingering static, he gave the Jolton a quick peck on the cheek.

And quickly came a memory...

The young Eevee had no idea what to expect. Green had been talking about evolving him for a while now, and the thought weighed on his mind. When he first met Green, he vowed to hate the kid. It was a vow that ended up forgotten. Green was good to him. He was a good trainer, and a good friend. They'd gone up against his rival Red. They had some victories, and some defeats. But there was something that the Eevee found in common with Green. They were both driven to be the best they could be. And the kid had a sound tactical mind. The team wasn't so bad as he thought. Bulba was way too much of a worrywart, and the grumpy Charmeleon liked to kick him a lot, but they still fought together well.

But evolution... It was still a big step. Eevees didn't evolve like normal Pokemon. There was no set path. He could become so much. He could become a Vaporeon, a nice water type. What would that be like? He could melt down and flow around, put out Char's fires... He could do that.

Or what if he became a Flareon? Make him a bigger hot-head than he already was... That'd really endear himself to Char. But he knew Flareons had a smaller move pool... Maybe that wouldn't work for him.

Jolteon? There was something that appealed to him. Speed, power... And the chance to show Red's Pikachu how to REALLY bring the thunder. He could see himself as a Jolteon too.

The thought was agonizing. He knew Green was, at this moment, picking out an evolution stone. He waited and waited for what felt like an eternity. This was a big moment. It would decide the rest of his life. Who he would be, what he would be like, what he could do... And there was no way to take it back. How would he have chosen if he'd been wild? How DID wild Eevees evolve anyway? Were there even wild Eevees left anywhere in Kanto? He just didn't know.

Footsteps announced the return of Green to the Pokemon Center, and Eevee was there to meet him. Green knelt down for him, holding out a clenched hand. "Well, buddy, today's the day. Tell me..." The boy opened his hand to reveal the shimmering yellow light of a Thunder Stone. "What do you think?"

Eevee looked down at the evolution stone. He could feel himself drawn to it, a natural instinct he supposed. A Jolteon... Power over electricity, speed, and spikes. He looked up at Green, at the hopeful look in his eyes. And Eevee finally nodded, with a small smile and a tiny bark of approval.

Green smiled back. The confidence on display... He didn't know if it was his own confidence in Green that made him so sure about this, or whether he trusted Green enough that he could be so easily sold on the decision, but either way, he knew he wouldn't let Green down, and Green wouldn't let him down. "Well then, here goes nothing... Jolt," Green addressed him, placing the Thunder Stone against the Eevee's forehead...
