SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING...



The entire school has become covered in mistletoe overnight. It grows out of the walls! The ceilings! Everywhere you least expect it? HOW CAN THIS BE??

It's probably best not to think about it. Attempts to uproot the plants or burn them away only makes the plants grow back faster. For the time being, it seems the school must live with it.

[OOC INSTRUCTIONS:

+ Some (NOT ALL) plants are cursed. If you manage to step under a cursed plant, you will exchange a memory when or if you exchange a kiss. The memories will be first-person and very vivid, and characters will feel like they are experiencing the memory in real time, though in reality the transfer is instantaneous. Memories can be as short, long, happy, sad, or traumatic as you like.

That's pretty nice, because Henry seems very happy to have gotten the kiss. Sometimes it's hard to tell when he's smiling/laughing because he's just making the face or if he actually means it, but this time? He definitely means it.

Who doesn't like dog kisses? Henry returns the gesture in the best way he can think: he reaches out and pets the top of Jock's fluffy head. "Aww, thanks Jock~"

"Right then," said Henry before moving his fingers to scratch behind Jock's ears. "How's that? Y'know, I had a friend who liked to be pet there the best, too~ Just like this. It's pretty nostalgic for me~"

"Behind the ears are good, yes," said Jock. "I like being scratched almost anywhere."

Belly rubs are his favorite, but you aren't trusted enough to get belly scratches, Henry.

"I'm glad you like it. I wouldn't wanna do poorly on something like this, after all! That would be lame."

Henry cheerfully brought his other hand to the back of Jock's other ear, so that he was square in front of him and happily petting him behind both ears. Even though it was a gesture meant for Jock, Henry enjoyed it just as well. "Hee hee, you're really soft! And warm, too~ Is that 'cause you're a fire-dog?"

"Because of the fire inside of me," replied Jock. "And also my fur is the softest and warmest, too. Everything about me is warm."

Henry's eyes lit up, but it's hard to tell because he's so squinty. "That's PERFECT. There's pretty much nothing better than that." One of his hands moved to pet the fluffy fur on the back of his neck. "Oh, but you're probably trying to give everybody a kiss, huh~? I'm just holding you up like this. Aha, sorry~"

"Yeah, I have everybody at school to kiss," said Jock. "It's my very important duty."

"Have a good day. Don't forget to not get caught underneath the cursed ones."
