SUDDENLY, AND WITHOUT WARNING...



The entire school has become covered in mistletoe overnight. It grows out of the walls! The ceilings! Everywhere you least expect it? HOW CAN THIS BE??

It's probably best not to think about it. Attempts to uproot the plants or burn them away only makes the plants grow back faster. For the time being, it seems the school must live with it.

+ Some (NOT ALL) plants are cursed. If you manage to step under a cursed plant, you will exchange a memory when or if you exchange a kiss. The memories will be first-person and very vivid, and characters will feel like they are experiencing the memory in real time, though in reality the transfer is instantaneous. Memories can be as short, long, happy, sad, or traumatic as you like.

As nonchalantly as he was able, Vinnie attempted to ask Max as an offhand query, "Ugh. So... uh, how's it been with you an' Char?"

Wow, way to go for the weird parts of his life.

"Better, sorta," said Max. "He challenged me to a fight and I kicked his ass again and that seemed to sorta... help him work it out, some. He put up a good fight."

"Really." Vinnie sounded a bit incredulous, if that's all it took for the how-many-months -maybe-even-years long grudge to start resolving. It seemed a bit too simple, but then again who knew how those Charizard brains worked.

"Does that mean you're gonna stop showerin' him in presents now?"

"I stopped doin' that months ago. He got sick of it, so I stopped doin' it for him. Last thing I made for him was somethin' he helped to make, for that week that Green was a Charizard." There was a pause. "And you were a Charizard. And I was a Charizard. Pretty much everybody was a Charizard."

It was an awkward week.

"Right. Charizard week." That was just going to have to be the official name for that incredibly dragon-y time in their lives, because come on. It was a little ridiculous.

"Even I could've told you he'd be sick of it. What does he need a hundred iron nails for, anyway?" Vinnie crossed his arms, appearing to be deep in thought as he muttered, "He's definitely not the type t'be won over by presents."

"You're sorta draggin' up old history there, Vinnie. That was like two years ago that I stopped givin' him presents. Anyway, nails are useful and anybody could use a hundred nails so I don't see what's so wrong with a hundred nails."
