Hello, it's me again~

How's business, pussycat?

Going very well, thank you for asking. That snafu with the production plant under the church put a bit of a bottleneck on the market, but it's not like that's a bad thing. I've already made plenty from it, so no fur off my back. All the chaos in the city is very entertaining.

Ha ha ha, all the better since everyone's pointing fingers at the school now anyway.

I hope you're just as happy on your end.

Yes, that substance it was leaking. I've never seen anything like it before, let alone from a trophy. You still have the samples, don't you?

Tell you what, since you've been working so hard on this, why not give me the prototypes and let me test them out? I have a few targets in mind.

It's Thursday; Graduation/Prom is still a few weeks off but finals are swiftly approaching the students of Smash Academy. Seth has been a busy bee, if not with ~~unscrupulous activities~~ preparing for said finals, then he has been dutifully making Host Club beautiful. More accurately, him and Voile have worked especially hard on this one to help raise money for those suffering from the drug riots and related violence.

Much like any other Host Club session, AE13 has been transformed into something bright, cheery, and very spring-like. Spring has definitely sprung all over the tables and flowery decor here. Food seems to especially be in surplus this session, with tables lining the borders of the room in a sort of buffet style. It's not just cookies, pastries, fruits, or snacks, but there is an entire table dedicated to those with a sweet tooth. (Most are actually not drugged but if you want to have shenanigans, then by all means go for it.) There are still some items exclusive to a menu that necessitate the need for a host/server. Alternatively, you could tell your host to go get stuff at the buffet for you, that is just as practical.

There's surely something here for everyone... and if not, he'll make it happen. As in, he'll make the servers make it happen.

To get this Host Club kicked off, Seth stands, in all his grandiose attire, and clinks a glass with his fork. "If I could have everyone's attention for a moment, please?" Once he has it, he clears his throat.

"First of all, I'd like to welcome you all to this Host Club. Voile and I worked especially hard on it, so thank you for coming. You should know you're not only supporting our efforts but all generous donations and proceedings will go directly to victims afflicted by these recent strings of cruel violence."

"Did you know it was National Nurse's Week last week? I thought it would only be appropriate then to have this Host Club's theme be that of healing--Healing and appreciation for those who work hard to help others, who don't get enough appreciation for their efforts."

"Like poor Rhys! I swear he'd work himself ragged if he gave himself the chance. He needs our love and support, and, if I may direct your attention to our beautiful, charming hostess Voile," Seth waves his hand in the air and points at her, where a well-choreographed spotlight follows up onto the mini-stage erected in the room. "--really, everyone look, she is absolutely stunning in that dress, give her a big round of applause--She will tell you exactly how you can offer a healing hand."

HOST CLUB:
▷ If you want your character to BE SERVED, just sit them down at any table and start making orders.
▷ If you want your character to SERVE, as in you want to put your character in an embarrassing outfit and serve the people sitting at the tables, go right ahead. There are no OOC sign-ups. This session's Host Club's outfit theme is SEXY NURSE. Take your pick of outfit from conservative and modern to increasingly provocative. If you're a server and can't think of any willing/legit reasons why on earth they would be here in a sexy nurse outfit you can assume Seth more or less forced/tricked/convinced/blackmailed your poor unfortunate character into the act.
▷ ONCE YOU PICK server OR served, your character must to stick with it until this Host Club meeting is done, that is the only rule. No escaping, no sneaking out. Seth will CATCH YOU and make you CLEAN DISHES with a TOOTHBRUSH.

HOST CLUB CONTEST:
▶ If you remember how last year's Student/Faculty Auctions went and how the Pokemon Contests work, this may feel familiar. Your character needs to pay a measly $5 entry fee (which will be a charitable donation to help those involved in drug riot incidents) and then they can enter in any of the contest categories; Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Intelligence, and Strength. PERFORM your act of [insert category here] and impress everyone! Get creative, use your Smashing Skills and wow the crowd. If you damage the stage or make a mess, Connor and Flint will probably not be happy with you.
▶ As an audience member, you cast your vote by typing a +1 into your subject title (not unlike the auctions with the dollar amounts). That's it! You can vote as many times as you like, just not for multiple times for the same person in the same category (so no +2's or +3's or +9000's). You can, however, vote for the same person once in each category if they are competing in more than one. You can cast a vote for more than one person per category.
▶ Votes will be tallied up OOCly Thursday or Friday, and we will start a new thread to announce the winner.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Phoenix there. She hadn't expected it, honestly. Not necessarily because it didn't seem like his sort of cause, but she had a feeling that he was more interested in... Well. Perhaps other things. She couldn't say exactly why she was so surprised to see him. Only that she was.

She greeted him with a smile, which she thought was only expected out of her. At least to him. "Hello!" Lifting her left hand, she wiggled her fingers at him happily. And she didn't attach a title, because she almost wasn't sure what to call him. 'Father?' 'Brother?' She'd come up with something eventually.

He smiled at Voile when she chirped a hello back at him. While he didn't really notice the lack of title at that moment, he would have just preferred to be called Phoenix or Nick, kind of like how Maya would address him. (But Voile was so different from Maya that he couldn't really compare the two.)

"So did you put together a lot of this yourself?" He knew that the contest thing was probably all Voile, or at least mostly done by her, but wasn't sure about the rest of the party.

His question surprised her and even as she blushed a little she ended up shaking her head. "No, not at all. I did some of the contest stuff, but Seth is really the mastermind behind it all." Voile smiled, as if she felt a bit of pride for the man. Pride at the very least, despite the way he was minutely troublesome.

That flirtation...

"If it hadn't been for him, none of this would have been possible, honestly."

"Seth, huh?" Phoenix didn't know this guy. He had heard his name in passing a few times, but he couldn't recall meeting him. Of course, he was completely oblivious to the blush on her face, so he treated it as any other friend Voile might have.

"Which one is Seth? I don't think I've met him." Phoenix didn't suspect the man of anything at the moment, but he at least knew he had a slightly strange feeling about these host club meetings. Well, whether or not that was the case, he still at least wanted to meet Seth. He felt lately that he should get more in touch with Voile's friends.

When he asked, she shifted to take a look around. When she spotted the blond-haired Persian, she lifted her left hand and pointed. "There, in the tailcoat. You can't miss him. He's probably the nicest dressed guy in here." A pause. "As usual."

Then she laced her hands together, "I've worked with Seth before. Last time I helped him out, I was a server. This is the first time we've run this together. I'm not sure if he plans of letting me do so again, but I do intend to help him with costume design for his servers in future host club gatherings."

A smile and her expression brightened, "If you've not talked with him before, you should. He's well-spoken and charismatic."

Phoenix followed Voile's finger across the room until she pointed out the aforementioned Seth. It was easy to pick him out - he seemed suave and sophisticated, dressed in a fine suit.

"Okay, I guess I could introduce myself," he suggested.

"I hope you guys get to do more of these host clubs together in the future! You seem really happy doing this."

"Unless you wish for me to introduce you to him. I can do either or. You don't really need me to hold your hand, but Seth can be a little daunting, I think."

She smiled somewhat sheepishly, "I always feel like we're from two completely different worlds, he and I. Yet he always talks with me like I'm from his."

Then she nodded in agreement, "I hope we'll get to do more, too. Having his help has really made this a good night for me. I'm really enjoying myself." When she wasn't worrying, but she wasn't going to admit to that.

He shook his head. "No, I'll be fine by myself. I'm sure you're busy enough as is."

Besides, if he was so nice to Voile, then Phoenix probably wouldn't have much trouble making his acquaintance. Right? Though the name "Seth Richardson" is something he felt like he had heard before... But it was the name of a student. He had probably heard that name spoken amongst his own students.

"I'm glad you're having fun. I'm sure Seth appreciates your help."

I wouldn't mind, but I'll let you be independent. What could happen, anyway, from a mere introduction?

When Phoenix continued, she laughed a little. "He said I was a 'phenomenal' help. Can you believe that? Phenomenal." What she couldn't hide was the way she blushed because Seth was quite the one with words, admittedly. And she couldn't imagine what people thought of them when she sang her praises of him so directly.

"I'm sure you're right. He could have done it without me, but I believe he enjoys it much more with my assistance."

Phoenix was still completely oblivious to the blushing - unless Voile came out and outright said that she had feelings for Seth, Phoenix probably wouldn't catch on. Still, he felt a swell of pride when he saw how happy Voile was from being called "phenomenal."

"I'm glad! If he truly thinks that, I'm sure he'll let you help in the future."

"I think you're right," she agreed with him.

Toying with her hair something anxiously, she managed to stammer over some more of her words. "I'm still a little nervous, so I hope I can calm down before I have to go hand out gift cards. Lest I fumble or fall over my feet."

Then she hid some laughter behind one of her hands. "But maybe if I fall, I'll have someone there to catch me. It'd save some of the embarrassment."

Phoenix wasn't exactly sure who Voile was referring to when she said she had someone to catch her. He just assumed that she meant Seth, since they were co-hosting this event, after all.

"You'll be fine!" he assured her. "Really!"

He could see her nervousness, but really, he wasn't sure what she had to be afraid of. (If he was in her position, though, he might think differently.) "If you have any hesitations, I'm sure Seth will help you out."

"Yes," she repeated. "Of course you're right."

Because even though she logically knew it, it didn't always sync up with her emotionally. In fact, more often than not, Voile was just a complicated mess. She likened herself to a labyrinth of emotions and that was the best metaphor to describe her.

Then she looked around before turning her attention back onto him, "Can I get you anything to drink?"

As for a drink, Phoenix figured he could use one. The foods at these clubs cost some money, but since he wasn't buying burgers constantly, he could afford some.

So he shrugged and said, "Sure. Do you have grape juice?" The fancy kind in bottles. The very much "non-alcoholic" kind.

Like she was going to make him pay. If anything, Voile was likely shelling out her own money for him (because she really had nothing to use it for). Not that she'd say as much, of course. The perks of being a hostess, she supposed.

"I can get you some. Why don't you wait here a moment and I'll return posthaste." Flashing him a smile, she didn't bother waiting for a response, which might have seemed rude in hindsight. But she liked being on the move and evidently she'd been standing still for too long.

Phoenix would have objected vehemently to Voile spending her own money on Phoenix's drinks here. But he didn't know at the moment and figured it was either on the house or that he'd pay later.

Of course, she was fast. It was hardly a moment after he asked that she was quick on her feet, a swish of green hair as she turned her heel and omved toward the bar. Very efficient and helpful!

In the same way it had swished as she left, the front loose locks swished once more when she returned to Phoenix, glass of non-alcoholic grape juice in hand. She smiled brightly as she handed it over to him, almost as if eager for some kind of praise. But that had become a more common thing to occur since he'd agreed to be her trainer. She wanted his approval, after all.

His approval and his blessing for whatever it was she was getting herself into.

"Ta-da!"

Phoenix smiled brightly when Voile reappeared enthusiastically with his drink. She was awfully cute, he had to admit - not in an infatuation sense, but in a prideful sense, like he felt that his Pokemon was adorable, and he was proud of that. There wasn't really anyone he could compare to Voile... Pearl was adorable, of course, but she was young. She was more like Ai. Voile certainly wasn't like Maya or any other girl he knew. She was just... Voile. And he liked that.

"Thanks, Voile!" he said, eagerly taking the glass. And he took a quick sip, finding that it wasn't the exact brand he preferred, but hey - it was still good

[YES. YES LET'S BE FRIENDS. GOOD FRIENDS.]
