HOTS CLUB I MEAN HOST CLUB
Who: "Seth" and Voile and YOU
What: HOST CLUB
Where: AE13, on the bottom floor of the student dorms.
When: future-dated a bit to Thursday, 5/16
Warnings: Sexy Nurses and Contests
Warnings redux: dude tag yourself in
It's Thursday; Graduation/Prom is still a few weeks off but finals are swiftly approaching the students of Smash Academy. Seth has been a busy bee, if not withunscrupulous activities preparing for said finals, then he has been dutifully making Host Club beautiful. More accurately, him and Voile have worked especially hard on this one to help raise money for those suffering from the drug riots and related violence.
Much like any other Host Club session, AE13 has been transformed into something bright, cheery, and very spring-like. Spring has definitely sprung all over the tables and flowery decor here. Food seems to especially be in surplus this session, with tables lining the borders of the room in a sort of buffet style. It's not just cookies, pastries, fruits, or snacks, but there is an entire table dedicated to those with a sweet tooth. (Most are actually not drugged but if you want to have shenanigans, then by all means go for it.) There are still some items exclusive to a menu that necessitate the need for a host/server. Alternatively, you could tell your host to go get stuff at the buffet for you, that is just as practical.
There's surely something here for everyone... and if not, he'll make it happen. As in, he'll make the servers make it happen.
To get this Host Club kicked off, Seth stands, in all his grandiose attire, and clinks a glass with his fork. "If I could have everyone's attention for a moment, please?" Once he has it, he clears his throat.
"First of all, I'd like to welcome you all to this Host Club. Voile and I worked especially hard on it, so thank you for coming. You should know you're not only supporting our efforts but all generous donations and proceedings will go directly to victims afflicted by these recent strings of cruel violence."
"Did you know it was National Nurse's Week last week? I thought it would only be appropriate then to have this Host Club's theme be that of healing--Healing and appreciation for those who work hard to help others, who don't get enough appreciation for their efforts."
"Like poor Rhys! I swear he'd work himself ragged if he gave himself the chance. He needs our love and support, and, if I may direct your attention to our beautiful, charming hostess Voile," Seth waves his hand in the air and points at her, where a well-choreographed spotlight follows up onto the mini-stage erected in the room. "--really, everyone look, she is absolutely stunning in that dress, give her a big round of applause--She will tell you exactly how you can offer a healing hand."

Ring ring...
Hello, it's me again~
How's business, pussycat?
Going very well, thank you for asking. That snafu with the production plant under the church put a bit of a bottleneck on the market, but it's not like that's a bad thing. I've already made plenty from it, so no fur off my back. All the chaos in the city is very entertaining.
Ha ha ha, all the better since everyone's pointing fingers at the school now anyway.
I hope you're just as happy on your end.
It is, isn't it.
Yes, how are they going?
That's still a problem? Ugh. What haven't you tried yet?
What if... what about that thing I found under the school?
Yes, that substance it was leaking. I've never seen anything like it before, let alone from a trophy. You still have the samples, don't you?
Yeah.
Oh good.
That sounds promising already~
Tell you what, since you've been working so hard on this, why not give me the prototypes and let me test them out? I have a few targets in mind.

HOST CLUB:
▷ If you want your character to BE SERVED, just sit them down at any table and start making orders.
▷ If you want your character to SERVE, as in you want to put your character in an embarrassing outfit and serve the people sitting at the tables, go right ahead. There are no OOC sign-ups. This session's Host Club's outfit theme is SEXY NURSE. Take your pick of outfit from conservative and modern to increasingly provocative. If you're a server and can't think of any willing/legit reasons why on earth they would be here in a sexy nurse outfit you can assume Seth more or less forced/tricked/convinced/blackmailed your poor unfortunate character into the act.
▷ ONCE YOU PICK server OR served, your character must to stick with it until this Host Club meeting is done, that is the only rule. No escaping, no sneaking out. Seth will CATCH YOU and make you CLEAN DISHES with a TOOTHBRUSH.
HOST CLUB CONTEST:
▶ If you remember how last year's Student/Faculty Auctions went and how the Pokemon Contests work, this may feel familiar. Your character needs to pay a measly $5 entry fee (which will be a charitable donation to help those involved in drug riot incidents) and then they can enter in any of the contest categories; Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Intelligence, and Strength. PERFORM your act of [insert category here] and impress everyone! Get creative, use your Smashing Skills and wow the crowd. If you damage the stage or make a mess, Connor and Flint will probably not be happy with you.
▶ As an audience member, you cast your vote by typing a +1 into your subject title (not unlike the auctions with the dollar amounts). That's it! You can vote as many times as you like, just not for multiple times for the same person in the same category (so no +2's or +3's or +9000's). You can, however, vote for the same person once in each category if they are competing in more than one. You can cast a vote for more than one person per category.
▶ Votes will be tallied up OOCly Thursday or Friday, and we will start a new thread to announce the winner.
Re: POST EVENT: A bad run in...it really does get bad (CLOSED; for Seth and possibly Mary?)
Side effects included Mary pulling a little stunt like she did at the contest. After Host Club was over, Seth found himself holding her hand and walking her back to her dorm. For, you know, public appearances and all that--because he was such a kind and considerate student to make sure she'd get back to her dorm safe and sound, of course. Half-way through the moonlit courtyard he held onto her hand less and less and wouldn't care to stop her if something caught her eye again.
"Maaaaaary~" He cooed. "It's getting late, aren't you tired?"
Or maybe that something would end up being a someone.
no subject
But the Host Club had passed, and with it went the high of the lollipop she'd devoured just before attending. It seemed that every few steps she took there was a wave of pain and her vision flickered for a second
accompanied by an ear-grating noise, and her head drooped a little."Yeah," she mumbled, barely paying any attention to Seth. Her hold on his hand slipped until her arm dropped to her side, and she stopped to stare at a blooming flower in the courtyard. She wondered how hers in the greenhouse were doing. They never seemed to make it past the sprouting stage.
"Can I have another candy...?" She'd gorged herself silly at the table, but none of them had the same effect as the ones Seth had been providing her with. Just a sore stomach and a swollen, sugar-dyed tongue. She started to look back up at Seth, when out of the corner of her eye she spotted him: Garry Labeouf. There, in the distance. She'd recognize that stupid coat anywhere.
no subject
He knew both of those voices. He was alerted now. It was about time, he found them. He turned to look at the two now, anxiety going to his toes.
That is, before he saw Mary.
Mary.
There was something wrong with her. She looked sick. Very sick. Mary was always hyper and full of energy, and now it seemed like the energy was drained from her. It wasn't that late. He thought he could tell the difference between simply being tired or something else.
His heart stopped then. He had to get closer. He had to.
no subject
You just don't know when to quit, do you?
"Mary~" Seth cooed again, deliberately ignoring her question and deliberately speaking louder so their new guest could hear too. "Isn't that your friend over there?" If there wasn't enough venom coursing through Mary's body, there was definitely enough accentuating friend.
no subject
She was almost a little too quick to deny any kind of friendliness toward the painter. There may have been the faintest spark of something once, after both of them had started to settle their differences at the Academy, but too many things had happened to
raise Mary's hate levelsnip that in the bud for good on Mary's end.She pointed at Garry, mouth open like she was going to fling some accusation at him... but then she just yawned instead. When her lips closed again, they curled in the sweetest little smile.
"Oh! Hi Garry, heehee!"
It was a little late to bother with the act.
no subject
And to keep to that feeling, Mary acted so sweet about it. Creepy. Garry's eyes went wide. He wasn't sure what was the best course of action. But he felt like he was a deep trouble now.
"W-what are you guys doing?"
no subject
If Garry wanted to run the opportunity left him the moment Seth slowly started prowling towards him, gleaming red eyes fixed with predatory stare. He'd really had quite enough of Garry being a nuisance now.
no subject
no subject
This was actually an accident run in. But the fact he had been keeping an eye on them, it didn't matter.
He tried his best to keep his ground. Not be scared. He was making a statement.
"I don't...I don't trust you," Garry blurted out. "You're doing some rotten things so I maybe am a bit wary of you."
Then. What Mary said struck him more inside. It hurt a lot to hear that coming from her. He didn't turn his focus on her directly. He didn't care that she...she hated him.
"You think I would just leave this alone? I saw Mary up there on that stage...she's not well. What are you even doing to her? Whatever is happening to her is all your fault!"
That's it. He snapped. Garry's voice rose.
"I don't know what exactly you did, but from the way you're acting? The way things are going? This is you're doing? And you...you won't get away with it."
no subject
"You could frankly, be doing better. But now look at you." Close enough now, Seth jabbed at finger in Garry's chest. "She doesn't even want anything to do with you because you don't trust us."
no subject
"Yeah, Seth's being my friend... But you don't like that, do you, Garry?! Every time I make a friend you try to ruin everything!! Is it because you don't have any friends?! Is that why you have to steal mine all the time?"
How she hated him! She'd finally escaped her life of solitude, and she wasn't going to let Garry do anything to make her feel lonely again.
no subject
Finally, he looked at Mary. The cold, harsh words sinking in. It hurt. It hurt very much actually. His brows furrowed and his voice quivered. He was yelling by this point. Garry can't anymore. This was...a misunderstanding.
"You don't understand, Mary! This man right here is a crook! He's feeding you with feelings like that so he could use you! Hurting Ai? Vianca? These drugs? This got you hurt Mary! I don't want to see that! EVER!"
no subject
Seth backhanded Garry.
"You're the one lying. Since when have I ever hurt Mary? I've given her everything she's ever wanted."
Seth took another step forward, looking to shove Garry to the ground.
"You're. Just. Jealous."
no subject
She flinched a little in surprise when the hit landed, but a grin quickly sprang to her lips at the same time. There was just something so satisfying about it. She needed to see him hurt.
"Do it again, do it again!"
no subject
He had no choice in the gallery. He wished there was another way. He had to make sure he did what he could to get Ib home.
He regretted it all the time, because he knew she was lonely. She wanted to leave. Even if it meant killing him. Which she claimed she did anyway. He was willing to put EVERYTHING aside. So WHY?
He knew everything. Everything. But he kept going.
Then everything just fell APART. Had he failed Mary? He just...just didn't want to see her hurt. Getting smacked and Mary rooting for it to happened was too much. But Seth was still wrong.
Mary, you were also a hypocrite. But he didn't even realize it. He was just hurt and destroyed.
"You're wrong. I don't have to be genius to realize Mary is not herself. She got into a fight because of these drugs and all these things you do together. Everything would get reflected on a lot more people than you probably know. She's just as much as a victim as those poor people you sold those drugs to."
He looked at Mary then...regardless of whatever Seth did.
"I don't want you hurt. I don't, Mary."
itt: I can't take balls seriously, even in context.
"You're too late for that, Garry. Didn't you hear her? You've already hurt her."
One freckled backhand lead to another, only this time Seth couldn't stop--nay, made no effort to stop--his sharp feline nails from popping out, looking to gouge whatever flesh or clothes they might snag.
"Actions speak louder than words, after all!" Seth sneered cruelly. Wouldn't it be nice for Garry to feel whatever pain Mary went through? His thoughts took him back to his balls, and how well they worked earlier against Shadow, memory fluke aside.
Yes. Yes he still had a spare in his pants pocket. He was liking the idea of it more and more--the only thing that would make it better was if he could get Mary to deliver the final 'blow' as it were.
"I think it's only fair that you know exactly how Mary feels."
no subject
She stepped forward again, stopping only when she was at Seth's side, gazing up at him in awe. "What are you going to do to him?"
no subject
When the claws came out, it hurt too bad to scream. His shirt ripped, blood dripping. A claw mark now shown on his face that even though it was covered with hair...blood trinkled down his face like tears. The wounds might not be deep, but they bled. And they stung.
The force from the last blow made him fall to the floor, the constant force waning on his pretty fragile body.
Then when Mary finally got closer.
What are you going to do with him?
...He got scared again. He was...he was going to die. Right here, and Mary was cool with that.
Thoughts started to flood in, too many for Garry to muster and organize. His eyes swelled up with tears, pain finally reaching his features. Fear. Pain.
He failed everyone...
no subject
"Well, now that I think he's been softened up..." Seth paused to daintily lick some of the blood off his finger tips, and pick out what little scraps of clothes were embedded under his sharp nails. It wasn't obtuse, or perverse; just an immediate desire to clean his dirtied hand. (That said, his heart was beating fast with sick delight. This sort of power went to his head very quickly.)
"I think you should catch him." Yes that would be wonderful. He truly loved showing Mary the law of the world--the strong perished and the useless perished.
"Here," With a still half-bloodied hand, he pulled one of the prototype balls out of his pocket and gave it to Mary. "You press that big button on the side, then throw it at Garry. Then he'll be yours to keep forever and ever."
Time to be just as mature as Kat
"Is he going to fit inside?"
Her toy box back in her private fabricated world had also been much bigger on the inside than it was outside, but she'd never seen anything in this world that was able to manipulate space like that. She wondered just how big it would be in there... But she didn't want to catch herself. It was for Garry.
She held her thumb down on the button, staring at Garry for a long moment. Her expression was entirely unreadable, like there wasn't one there at all. Like she wasn't there at all.
She threw the ball right at his head.
Hers to keep. Hers to throw away if she wanted.
no subject
That was all Garry saw. One moment he was trying to absorb what any of that meant what Seth and Mary were doing. Garry started to silently weep before Mary then threw the thing at him like it was easy. He was so sure he was doomed, with whatever that was. The darkness that surrounded him a few seconds after didn't seem to invoke too much more out of him.
That he had went through so much pain in the past few minutes that he was unsure how to dish out anymore.
Trapped. He didn't feel dead, but what did death feel like?
Unsure of the circumstances gave him not much fight once captured. The ball probably wiggled a little just to express really that there was a thing inside.
Then the light went out.
no subject
no subject
Painter Type... wait....Ah, a successful capture. From the crevice running circumferential around the ball, a heinous purple mist/gelatinous-like substance oozed out. It congealed into a puddle then rose and gave shape to Garry's exact form, wounds and all perfectly in place.
Seth walked over to retrieve the ball, giving Garry a kick while he was down for fun. His perfect copy body looked to be out cold. Who knew when "he" would wake up again, or if he'd have memory failings of his encounter like Shadow did, but either way the deed was done. Perfectly done.
"Mary, I want you to listen to me carefully."
He put the ball in her hand.
"Garry is actually inside of here. What you see on the ground is like a doll. He looks like Garry and talks like Garry and sounds like Garry. Just like the real thing."
no subject
"So there's... two Garrys?" What was the point in that? She kept one and let the other one just go around being the same as ever? That was the worst plan she'd ever heard.
no subject
"Technically, yes. But this one really is like a doll. If you tell him to get up, he'll get up. If you tell him to sing and dance and play with you, he will. He'll do anything you want, Mary."
He clasped his hand over hers holding the ball, and stared at her with those slitted ruby red eyes of his.
"As long as you keep the real Garry in here." Then he quickly added, "You must keep him secret, and never let him out."
