LOCKDOWN
Who: GLaDOS and everyone.
What: Testing.
Where:Aperture Smash Academy
When: August 13th
Warnings: Homicidal AI, science, testing, and more science.
Reference: Partner ooc post.
You know, it's funny how things work in life. Chell had had returned to the school after feeling guilty, in order to warn everyone about the impending danger that would befall them. What she didn't know, however, was that once the warning goes out, all it does is enrage the AI. So before anyone would dare leave, all the exit doors in the school became boarded up with panels. Any windows that may have been at the school were closed off, preventing any other means of escape.
For an hour or so, nothing happens besides that. No announcement, no warning, nothing. That is, until panels on the floor open up underneath any unsuspecting victim. The panels will lead to tubing, sending them downwards. Down into a plain white room. Thankfully, for those of you who didn't put on your Long Fall Boots, there will be a cushion to land on. Other than that, the room itself is fairly empty. The only things of mention is a table containing the equipment from the beginning of the week (if you didn't take it), a door (that won't open unless you have all the equipment), and...another person: your partner. Meanwhile, a message from GLaDOS chimes in over the intercom:
"The lockdown of Smash Academy is now complete. For those of you who are curious as to what is going on, a manual testing initiative has been added to the school's curriculum, for students and staff alike. In order to advance, you will need to work with your partner to complete the test. Failure to do so will result in...dangerous consequences.
No one will be allowed out of their current chamber until they are equipped with a communicator, a pair of Long-Fall Boots, and a Dual Portal device. Once those objects are in hand, you may start testing.
That is all."
Good luck testing, Smash. You're going to need it.

oh noes
And when he saw Naoto's number, he felt an immense wave of relief. She would be the one person, besides Senpai, who could help him with this mess. Frantically, he answered the phone.
"Oh man I'm glad you called you have no idea how much this sucks." He spoke frantically into the receiver. Since Kumatora was right there, he knew to call Naoto "Souji," but in that moment of hurry, he might have slipped up.
"So some robot lady went crazy and now we're stuck in some testing grid thingy." He finished his long-winded statement, hopefully letting Naoto get a word in.

How did he get reception down here"Hey, who is that? Can they get us out of here?"
lmao I was gonna touch up on that
"...Hacking into the database took quite a while...managing to get some of the receivers to be able to send you a message took a while. I wasn't sure if it was going work at all....I've been trying for the past thirty minutes. Regardless, we must get you and Kumatora-senpai out of there..."
More frantic typing.
"Are you able to switch your phone to visual? If I can get a look of the area, I may be able to help you with the puzzle..."

"I'm so glad you're okay," he breathed in relief. When she asked, he frantically tried to switch the phone to visual, pushing buttons here and there until he was finally able to show his face on the camera.
"All right, I'm on visual now. So uh... there's these guns that make portals but they only work on certain surfaces... And then there's this weird light bridge, and I think I have to manipulate it with the portals."
He moved the phone around, trying to let Naoto get a good view of the room.

"I see some androids on the far right," she explained. "Somehow, their targeting system is bright red, and easy to see. Based on lighting of some sort, and is obviously a clue as to what you must do. You'll need to block them so that they won't harm you as you pass...the light bridge! Maybe if you could make it form into a wall, the light will reflect their shooting system, disabling them. Regardless, it's extremely dangerous, so please be careful."
