LOCKDOWN
Who: GLaDOS and everyone.
What: Testing.
Where:Aperture Smash Academy
When: August 13th
Warnings: Homicidal AI, science, testing, and more science.
Reference: Partner ooc post.
You know, it's funny how things work in life. Chell had had returned to the school after feeling guilty, in order to warn everyone about the impending danger that would befall them. What she didn't know, however, was that once the warning goes out, all it does is enrage the AI. So before anyone would dare leave, all the exit doors in the school became boarded up with panels. Any windows that may have been at the school were closed off, preventing any other means of escape.
For an hour or so, nothing happens besides that. No announcement, no warning, nothing. That is, until panels on the floor open up underneath any unsuspecting victim. The panels will lead to tubing, sending them downwards. Down into a plain white room. Thankfully, for those of you who didn't put on your Long Fall Boots, there will be a cushion to land on. Other than that, the room itself is fairly empty. The only things of mention is a table containing the equipment from the beginning of the week (if you didn't take it), a door (that won't open unless you have all the equipment), and...another person: your partner. Meanwhile, a message from GLaDOS chimes in over the intercom:
"The lockdown of Smash Academy is now complete. For those of you who are curious as to what is going on, a manual testing initiative has been added to the school's curriculum, for students and staff alike. In order to advance, you will need to work with your partner to complete the test. Failure to do so will result in...dangerous consequences.
No one will be allowed out of their current chamber until they are equipped with a communicator, a pair of Long-Fall Boots, and a Dual Portal device. Once those objects are in hand, you may start testing.
That is all."
Good luck testing, Smash. You're going to need it.

In completely unrelated news, Mary just fell out of the tube behind him.

This was hell. It was official. Garry was. In hell.
Did this computer know something??? She must have. Because last time these two were together all trapped things were not good.
But, things are different now. Because Mary doesn't have gallery powers, for one. And two, she was an equal to the rest, sucked in a trapped. She is as much as a victim as he in this case.
This felt like the gallery over again, but Garry told himself he was going to try to not have Mary get him so scared and nervous. Try.
And besides, Garry did honestly not want anything bad to happen to her. Genuinely. He was gonna get THEM BOTH out of this.
"...Mary."

Well, at least she wasn't alone anymore.
...
Wait, now she was just alone with Garry! That was even worse! He must have been responsible for trapping her like this, somehow... no, why would he even be in here if that was the case? She stood up, glancing around the tiny room.
A small part of her wondered if he and Ib felt this helpless when she invited them into her world...
"What's happening?"
If nothing else, at least Garry knew about how the real world worked. He'd know something about this, too.

"From what I heard...It seems that super computer is toying with us and forcing us to do some testing...
...In other words, I think we're in pretty big trouble. We have to work together."
Because he was sure that failing this test will result in...well. He won't say.

She'd read that schools were full of classes and tests, she just didn't really know what those really were until now. This didn't seem very fun so far. Making friends and having fun were definitely the better parts of this whole school thing.
The items on the table caught her eye, and she brightened up a bit. "Oh, look! Another gun! And there's one for you too, but you don't want to use one..."
no subject
He looked over to the table.
"Yes I know, I was looking at them before you came."
He finally walked over. Boots were here too.
"Looks like I have to go against my previous judgment. Seeing as we actually MIGHT need these to get through this..."
He begins putting them on.

She grabbed some equipment for herself
and shot a portal at Garry's face.
