Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Really? [It was an echo. Bulba tilted his head, his curiosity becoming more apparent.] Huh...!

[There his head went in the other direction. He couldn't pull out a reason from the few times they had met over the network either.]

That's weird.... But don't forget it, ok?

[And he wouldn't either. It was moments like this that would stick with him for a long time.]

[Because that would have been a little depressing otherwise. It was always hard to see someone forget something like that. You were nice. People liked you. Those weren't things that people should have had a reason to forget at all. Bulba that went for you too, geez.

So even if he didn't know Kanji very well at all, he still hoped that he really wouldn't forget it.

That being said, Bulba moved back around for maximum sun acquisition (which wasn't hard considering what time it was).]

[Kanji took another bite of the salad and moved his legs into a more comfortable position.]

Huh? Yeah, things are going pretty good here.

[When he stopped and thought about it, his life here was pretty decent. He was making friends, he had a girlfriend, and was even doing better in school.]

I gotta say, coming here was a pretty good decision. I like it.

That's good to hear. It can be a pretty nice place.

[There were just... things. If given the choice to do this part of his life over, Bulba wouldn't have been sure if he would go for it or not. The place gave him a lot of complicated feelings that were really complicated. So complicated you had to call them complicated twice.]

Just... uh... Fair warning, but, watch out for some of the weird stuff, i guess. Sometimes really weird stuff can happen.

Weird stuff, huh? [He took another bite of the salad.] Like the amnesia thing?

[He didn't mention the whole recent murder thing, since a similar thing occurred in Inaba. So while it was weird, it... wasn't the first time he dealt with it.]

I dunno. No offense, but the weirdest I've seen so far is these Pokemon. I'm just not used to the whole "people turning into creatures" thing.

Haha, no offense taken. We don't really turn into people back home, so it was pretty weird at first for all of us too... Pretty weird meeting people that don't know anything about Pokemon either, but it's a good chance to get to know other kinds of people.

But... no, I think the amnesia thing was something all its own. Weird stuff is more like... [Bulba looked thoughtful for a moment.]

Just a few weeks back I actually switched bodies with someone, as an example. I was in his body and he was in mine. Wasn't the first time something like that had happened to me either.

[Kanji grew a bit wide-eyed and froze his fork in the air right before he was to take a bite. He normally would have dismissed such a thing, but... Well, this school was weird enough.]

Wait seriously? How the hell did that happen?

Wish I knew. It'd make it a whole lot easier to avoid...

[Bulba shrugged.]

Man. That's like. I can't even picture that. What was it like being in someone else's body anyway?

[Kanji wanted to ask the inevitable question about private parts and such, but that was gay. Kanji did not want to ask gay questions. Nope.]

It was kind of the worst. I'm not a big fan of the guy and it was just...

[Bulba hesitated to say that it was always lonely being in a body that wasn't his own. That was probably a little too much for a guy that was still adjusting to creatures turning into people. The concept of being able to hear all the plants was a little... yeah, let's not go there.]

... Really weird.

Oh. Man. Yeah, I guess it would be.

[He could sense the tension here, so Kanji decided not to press the issue any further.

At that time, he also found that he had eaten his way through the rest of the food. Oh. Oops. Well, Bulba said he could but still.]

Oh. Wow. Man, that lunch was really good.

[Bulba peered into the container again and gave a small laugh.]

Oh! You can really put it away too! [Hello, certain smug sense of satisfaction.] I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Heh, I guess I can. My ma usually makes enough food for five people at my house, even though it's just me and her.

[He grins at this, proud of his currently high metabolism.]

[He chuckled.]

That's good for me! I probably don't know how to make normal portions anymore. I'm too used to my whole team and some black holes heheh.

[He smiled.]

What, so you like the team's resident chef or something? [He added a laugh.]

Something like that. They haven't told me to quit it yet, so there we are.

Well, I could see why they want you to cook for them!
