Did someone order a DORM LOG??

Who: You, you, you, and you
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Whatever happens happens, bro!
When: September 9 - September 25
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

You've never had anyone do that before? My parents would do that when I was little. I don't really know what it means, but I've never done it with anyone else other than Mother and Father.

Oh, then that would explain it. I never did do that with my father.

[Then again, Ghetsis probably wouldn't do a lot of things, considering how he is.

[Agitha blinks a couple of times and she taps the tip of his nose.]

Uhm. Sorry. I sort of did it without thinking about it.

Well, it isn't to say I oppose to it at all. It is just... new to me.

[And it brought back some sad memories, but he'll keep that to himself.]

Oh...

[She rubs at her cheeks gently. She's turning so pink.]

You said your Pokémon watch this all the time, right? My Little Ponyta? Do you all watch anything else?

[When in doubt, change the subject.]

Of course! [Oh, that made him brighten up.]

We enjoy watching Journey Time with Solosis and Lillipup, PurrPup, and the Angry Patrats. [Totally not cartoon parodies of AT, CatDog, and Angry Beavers at all.]

As a child, I used to watch a show relating to a superhero bird Pokemon, but I don't quite remember it very well.

A superhero bird Pokémon? I've never watched much of anything at all, but again, I think I told you that in Hyrule we didn't have things like that here. But then, there are a lot of things here that aren't in Hyrule.

[Most technological advancements that Agitha knows nothing about.]

Coming here is like coming to an entirely new world.

You don't have that? Do you... even have many of the accommodations that we have here? Large buildings, computers, phones, DVD players...?

[It sounds like Hyrule itself is a whole new world to him!]

[Agitha shakes her head.]

Not so much buildings. I mean, is a castle a building? There's an entrance to the palace from the town and that's where the Princess lives!

[For one reason or another, it seems she may not be aware that Zelda's at the academy as well.]

You... have a princess? A princess in a castle? Truly?

[Oh, gosh. Does Agitha even know about that one specific part of his past?]

[She is blissfully oblivious. Or perhaps ill-informed. Or not informed at all.]

Yes. Princess Zelda. She takes very good care of Hyrule and its people. She's good to all of us. I've heard she's the prettiest lady in all of the land.

I see. That is good to hear.

... I have a high interest in royalty, admittedly. Is there a king or queen of Hyrule?

[Agitha looks very thoughtful about this. Then she shakes her head.]

Princess Zelda might as well be Queen Zelda. I'm... not sure what happened to her parents, but she's the sole heir I think. She must be very lonely. I've only seen her a few times, but I was younger, so I don't remember it very well.

[She blinks at him.]

Are you a prince?

[N couldn't lie to himself and say that he didn't flinch at that question. Then, almost instantly, as if this has been said many a time before...]

I was the King of Team Plasma of Unova, a group dedicated to liberating Pokemon from abusive humans.

[Note the 'was.']

[She almost flinches instinctively, but she still catches how he worded things. She rubs the tip of her nose thoughtfully and then nods ever so slow...]

Were you dethroned? You don't have to tell me. I'm just... trying to get to know you.

[All of him, apparently.]

... I suppose you could say that.

[He pauses, but it's very brief. The hesitance in his tone, however, is clear, his gaze downcast.]

By my father.

[She simply stops and stares at him for a few moments. Really? His father? She doesn't remember hers too well at all. Neither of her parents. But she likes to think neither of them would ever do something like that to her.

Not that she's an actual princess. But she's one in her head.]

...Oh.

[Even her ears droop.]

... Mm.

[An awkward silence hangs over him. He really isn't sure if he even wants to talk about this, and yet...]

His plans for Plasma were different all along, and he betrayed me.

[But he keeps going, even without her asking. Perhaps he wants her to know. Or perhaps there's something about Agitha that allows him to think it's okay to continue.

Her hands fidgets a little, brush along the ridges of her basket as she listens.]

But you couldn't have known that.

[And all the same, anyone in that position would feel like a fool. She may be only twelve, but she understands.]

Of course not. [He pauses and dips his head downward.]

I trusted him. He raised me for most of my life. He gave me direction, and so when I lost him, I lost my direction. Although...

[He looked over to the TV, airing some other kind of show now.]

I think I am beginning to regain one. Slowly.

[Listening to him makes her feel like she really has no place to be so upset that she has no parents. But she won't dare say that.

Instead, she looks back over to the telly and then returns her gaze to his face.]

You're a strong person. Admirable. Kind. Caring. Compassionate. Sweet. You might not think it's much of a direction, but I think it is. Because when you're kind to others, you're teaching them to be kind to others in turn.

I see. So it is somewhat of a domino effect.

[That still didn't feel like enough, though. He still wanted to help Pokemon. Make them happy. What he thought he could do wasn't enough, and what he's doing now isn't feeling like enough.

So what, ultimately, is enough?]

That is helping humans, but I still fail to see a way to end Pokemon abuse. [But at least now he knows that not all trainers are bad.]

To end Pokémon abuse...

[Agitha doesn't really know about this one. She wishes she knew more.]

Why don't we start by starting a committee here, at the school? If you know you have others who would join, we can all work together for a common goal.

... I would be allowed to do that?

[N is kind of surprised, and it shows. He really isn't experienced with what can be done at a school at all.]

Is there a reason you wouldn't?

[She pauses.]

I'm going to see the headmaster soon... You can come with me and ask about your committee. I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
