Did someone order a DORM LOG??

Who: You, you, you, and you
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Whatever happens happens, bro!
When: September 9 - September 25
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Uhm. It might sound odd, but no one's ever said that before.

[Mainly because she seems to be almost as friendless as he used to be. He rubs his chin thoughtfully.]

You know... I have read that sleepovers have hair-styling as a staple. Maybe we could have a sleepover one day.

[Agitha won't say she's friendless. She considers all her bugs to be friends, after all, but she knows that those aren't the same as people like N and Gold.]

[Of course she has no idea what this is, or...]

[And that's a very innocent question.]

Because I simply am. I'm not sure why except that it looks nice, or... no. Maybe it makes me think of the Berbee dolls I used to play with as a child.

I used to brush their hair all the time.

I'm not exactly a doll.

[It feels a little strange to have the implication that she could be compared to one.]

But I know I look like one. I like looking like one, but I'm not a doll. I hope no one forgets that.

[She doesn't know what a Berbee doll is either.]

Oh.

... So I suppose that is a no to the idea then.

[She shakes her head.]

I'm not saying you can't play with it. I just want you to remember that I'm living and breathing, N.

I'm as much flesh and blood as you are. I just dress this way because I've grown up like that. My parents liked seeing me in it. It makes me feel like I'm better connected with them.

And I wear my hair up to keep it out of my face. It'd be hard to hunt for bugs otherwise.

Oh, yes, of course. I more meant that in the... metaphorical sense.

[Unless she doesn't like it that way either, in which case, WELP. What can a guy do?]

And where are your parents now? [If he was told already, it probably slipped his mind.]

[A pause.]

[She starts to laugh sheepishly and then she pauses when he asks about her parents. She's thought she mentioned it before, but perhaps she hasn't. She doesn't talk about them, after all.]

Uhm...

[Should she say she doesn't have any? No. Probably not.]

They passed away. When I was younger.

... Oh. Mm.

[What an intelligent reply. He's just kind of... dumbfounded now. What does he say to that? Clearly she must have raised herself the rest of the way, or someone else did. He is just going to guess at the former, much like he did before he'd been picked up by Ghetsis.

Hm, how did humans usually reply to this? Usually by giving them a comforting word, he noticed. He would do just that.]

I had no idea. I give you my condolences. [That is a good way to say it, right?]

So I suppose you simply... lived on your own since then. Perhaps with your bugs?

[She nodded. There wasn't much else anyone could say to something like that. So he was doing his best and she appreciated that.

There was another nod given.]

Yes! My bugs are my family.

[There was a smile given. Perhaps it covered her true feelings. Perhaps it was something else.]

[Oh, well, it looks like his reply was fine. That's good. He was kind of unsure about that.]

That's good. My Pokemon are my only family, too, at this point, so I feel we can relate.

[He wouldn't have it any other way, especially if 'another way' meant having Ghetsis in his life again. No thanks.]

[Agitha nods again, this time much slower.

Then she rubs at her cheeks gently.]

I think so, too. In a way, you sort of make me think of an older brother. Kind of. But I don't know how that would actually feel.

I... do?

[Well, that is the last thing he expects. How exactly does he reply to that now, especially when he's always been an only child? Then again, so is she, and yet she made an observation like this.

He bows his head down a little.] I am not sure what to feel or what to think. I have always wondered what having a sibling would be like, but I'm not sure what the feeling is like either.

[He talks so fast already, but that last line comes even faster than usual, as if he's hesitant. Humans, how do they work.]

Well. Like I said. I don't have one, so it's just a guess.

[She smiles, though. They have many similarities, don't they? And he's being cute. This doesn't surprise her at all.]

I'm sure you'll know with time, even if you don't know right now. No one else can tell you what it's like. You'll just know when it happens.

[Oh. She sounds so wise.]

I... suppose so, yes. With time.

It is just something I have to learn. That is what we're here for anyway, isn't it?

[Either way, however, he was never unwilling to learn.]

It is simple. I came here to learn. I felt I did not know enough, and so I willed myself to remedy that.

[Of course, it was far more complicated than that, but he didn't want to go into detail about his father's betrayal right now.]

[There was another nod given. She supposed she could sympathise. Except she didn't readily know why she had come. Eventually, she'd figure it out.]

Were you looking to learn something in particular, or no?

I seek to learn everything, and mainly... I look to discover my purpose. I look to see why I'm here, what else I can do for the world.

[For Pokemon, mainly, but the humans here have tugged at his heartstrings already.]

I'm sure there are plenty of things you can do for the world, N. Sometimes you just need someone to believe in you. I'm good at that!
