What time is it? DORM LOG TIME.

Who: [livejournal.com profile] sumabura_gakuen
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Do what you need! ✩
When: April 30 - May 15
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one: Basically, here's what this is: we all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good portal for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR and the like.

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Harrass your least favorite teacher by throwing oranges at their window! Play your favorite survival horror game at night while subjecting your squeamish friends to your dark tastes! Get into a squabble with your next door neighbors about unappreciated late-hour rackets! Confess your love to the girl of your dreams after class is over! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Show this log no mercy.

[N, your computer life is so dull and boring we are gonna spruce you up. Just you wait. You're gonna be hip and cool beyond your wildest dreams.]

You download iTunes, yet?

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[He will be the HIPPEST AND COOLEST.]

I believe so. [He looked to the computer and pointed at it.

It was just the setup .exe. It wasn't even installed yet, just ready to be installed.
]

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Okeey-dokkie...[Click click. And the installation came up. He finished the installation, easy enough for him. And eventually, they were welcomed to the main homepage of iTunes! The internet connections kicked in and they see a page FILLED with numerous artists, genres, TV shows, movies, and colored pictures. What do you think, N?]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[He thinks OVERWHELMING, clearly, from his expression.]

Is... this it? Where do I even begin? It seems like so much.

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mac had to laugh a little.]

Don't worry, it's all fun. You could kill hours just findin' songs you like.

[He has a plug from the iPod package.]

But first things first, you gotta remember to plug this baby in or it'll just be a dead lump of tech stuff. Pluggin' it in also gets your songs from your Library into it.

[And he did so. Plugged it in. Then the page came up to name the iPod. Mac took the liberty to name it "N's iPod". And like that, it was set up! N's iPod! Mac took a few seconds to show him where the Library was and all that stuff which was a magic time skip of fun.]

...And you're all set! Whatcha wanna do now? Wanna see what they got?

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I see... it actually is more simple than I gathered.

[Zoroark curiously came up to the iPod and sniffed it. Aw, it wasn't edible.]

I suppose we can. How can we do that? Is it... this? [He motioned to the correct tab or button or whatever it is, CAN YOU TELL HIS MUN HAS NEVER USED ITUNES EITHER.]

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[THAT IS OKAY, MUN OF N, MUN OF MAC'S IPOD IS HER BABY SO SHE WILL HELP. N clicked on the Quick Link for Browse!]

Yeah, there you go! That's the basic one ya wanna use to go search for stuff. There's a lot of stuff to her but lemme tell ya...a thing is when you start buyin' stuff, they'll even come up with songs they recommend based on what ya buy.

Sometimes they even list random stuff that's for free!

[Mac's already clicked on "Music" and they are taken to "Genre"...And there's a whole list of shit "A-Z".]

Ya said you ain't too keen on rock and you ain't so sure what ya like...so you call the shots on what ya wanna take a look at.

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll have to see. Hm, hm... there is quite a list.

[N scans the names in hopes of finding one that stands out. One does very quickly- 'classical'. Just what was that? He was going to find out?]

Let's look here first. [He clicked.] What is this music like?

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's a lot of violins, pianos, stuff like that.

[Nnnnoooot really Mac's taste but Mac can listen to anything really. And some of these people he does recognize just by sheer not being under a rock so maybe he won't be TOTALLY useless.]

I guess if this stuff's for you, can't go wrong with Mozart.

[He helped do a clicky for this part and he clicked on a very random song.]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[As N listened, he didn't get the unpleasant feeling that he felt as he heard Mac's favorite tunes. This felt more... symphonic. Uplifting. Pure.

It was an easy choice. He enjoyed this music. His face brightened as he listened to the entire, long tune.
]

This is... incredible. This is some of the best classical?

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mac was fast asleep. Mac was listening to it as well through the whole thing, silent so N can listen to it clearly as well.]

Well, and you're talkin' to someone who doesn't listen to this stuff all the time, I'm sure he is. Mozart's real well known to the buffs. Especially for people who are all into music history, I imagine. Beethoven's a good one too.

[Clicky click.]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[N used WAKE-UP SLAP! Oh! Beeth... oven. What a foreign name. Not that this was necessarily a bad thing. Besides, he has no right to speak.

He listened attentively, his focus directly on the music. Zoroark and Carracosta listened nearby, as well, both significantly entranced.
]

I think... it is safe to say that we all enjoy it.

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Then it's settled. I think ya finally found somethin' that works just for you.

[Oh. Right. You gotta pay by the song...]

Well, okay. Now it's a matter of buyin' the songs.

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Buying them? Then I suppose we can buy these two?

[Yes, he means the ones Mac just showed him.]

How much is each song?

Spoilers: I actually did look the prices for these songs up as I typed this tag

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[He points to a tiny tab next to the Beethoven song they just listened to.]

See there? It's ninety-nine cents. So basically a dollar. Most songs run by this unless if it's a very popular song. Those are a dollar and twenty-nine cents.

I usually buy gift cards they sell in stores for these but you could use credit too.

heeee ;v;

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh! That was all deceptively cheap. N didn't know songs were given at such a nice price!

Now he knew how to buy. However, there was still one teensy little problem.
]

Mm, I don't... think I have either one of those.

[He removes a small amount of PokeDollars from his pocket. That's all he has. No credit/debit card, gift cards, nothing. Just pure cash. DERP.]

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Tell ya what, I still got a lil' money left in my account so I'll sign into my ID and you can get those songs to start yourself off. Then you can get your own Apple ID afterwords. How's that?

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That seems to be a good idea. I'm not sure how to get my own ID, but... we can figure it out.

[And of course, the obligatory grateful shit.] Thank you.

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Don't mention it, we're gonna get you all set up.

[Doodle doo clicky click AND IT'S DONE. Hope you've been paying attention, N, he's been showing you the whole process.]

Theeeeere you go! [He unplugged the iPod and handed it to him, earphones and all.]

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
That was very simple, wasn't it? It should be just as easy to get an ID then.

[N takes his iPod and turns it on really quick to test. Yep, the songs were there and ready to play!]

How convenient.

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
The iPod, y'mean?

It sure is! I take mine everywhere.

I hope you like usin' it!

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. Thank you. I think I will use it frequently. My Pokemon might like listening to the music, too.

[Carracosta and Zoroark nod happily. Do want.]

I will set up my ID later. This will be enough for now.

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2011-05-09 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Just don't forget to charge the thing. You gotta hook it up or it'll run outta juice quick.

[He sat up.]

Well I better be headin' back to do my daily stuff. My next match is in a few days, I better prep up.

[One more brief bro hug for N.]

See ya guys later!

[identity profile] surpass.livejournal.com 2011-05-09 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[YAY BROHUGS. N can roll with more brohugs.]

I see. Good luck then. Please don't get yourself hurt too badly, hm...?
