What time is it? DORM LOG TIME.

Who: [livejournal.com profile] sumabura_gakuen
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond. Do what you need! ✩
When: April 30 - May 15
Warnings: I wrote 'hijinks'. That should explain everything.

Ripped off the last one: Basically, here's what this is: we all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good portal for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR and the like.

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Harrass your least favorite teacher by throwing oranges at their window! Play your favorite survival horror game at night while subjecting your squeamish friends to your dark tastes! Get into a squabble with your next door neighbors about unappreciated late-hour rackets! Confess your love to the girl of your dreams after class is over! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Show this log no mercy.

Classroom

[Someone peeks into your room. She is holding some papers and looking horribly confused.]

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-02 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hello child. Lady. Dragon lady. What is with her and dragons. Samus gives a questioning stare before asking,]

Can I help you?

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-02 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[She stares right into your soul eyes before putting the paper on her desk. It looks like the first year's BioMechanical Engineering work. Really simple stuff from the first pages, unless you happen to be a Charizard who has never seen all these futuristic things before on a regular basis and just tried to dive right into it.]

I don't understand the second question at all.

[Staaaare.]

I've been trying to get a head start so I can try enrolling in the class next year. I want to understand how my wings work better, especially in my human form. [She points to her broken horn] And learn about how to maybe fix that too. But uh, if you don't want to it's alright. I'm not enrolled in the class yet anyway. I just figured you'd probably know best about the subject since you're the teacher.

[Oh, a prospective student. Samus admittedly frowns a little as Sasha points out her broken horn. Samus had duly noted that injury for a while, but being a Charizard for a week last summer has also given her a new outlook to the dragon Pokemon and how they work.]

I can certainly appreciate the initiative. [She leans over the desk and boobs takes the paper, looking it over.] This is on the basics of energy. The question is, "How does the energy in your body differ from that found in a light bulb?"

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-03 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I wasn't sure how to explain that one...I mean, Charizards have a lot of fire and heat inside themselves, right? But light bulbs are hot to the touch. So they both produce heat...

[HELP.]

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Ohhhhh. man.]

Chemicals. The energy that comes from a light bulb is the result of kinetic energy, stored up in a power plant and sent through primitive babycakes power lines. The energy that runs through your nerves and makes your muscles move is the result of chemical reactions.

I'm not Pokemon expert, but I imagine the same is true for your tail.

[That are a lot of new terms that she has no idea about. Quickly, her hand noted down a few things like, kinetic energy, power plants, power lines, nerves, muscle movement, chemical reaction tails? The last one has a question mark.]

I'm no real Pokemon expert either, but I imagine you're probably right. [Because you look much smarter than me]

It gets bigger or smaller depending on what state our body is.

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
When you're hungry or tired, right? [It's like she knows exactly what you're talking about.]

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-04 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Or when you're about to enter an exciting battle or let out a devastating attack! [She just thinks you're that smart.]

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Are there any other times?

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-04 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
It can be used to heal amongst Charizards. Kind of like feeding a dying bonfire if you want! I guess it's a form of uhhh...chemical energy reaction? [Wait did the teacher say chemical energy reaction, she looks down at her notes, unsure.]

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
An exothermic chemical reaction.

[Samus kind of scrutinizes her tail and her damaged horn, mulling over the dying bonfire comment, as she recalls when Char mentioned a similar thing when Charmanders just hatch and their flame is small.]

It only works for healing the fire on your tail though, right? No where else on the body?

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-04 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Echo-thermic chemical reaction. Got it! [Nod nod. No Sasha you got it wrong. And you'll probably forget by tomorrow.]

To be truthful, I don't know. I never had it done on myself before. [This is a lie, but she doesn't know, it's not like Char would have told her what had happened in the hospital.] But the horn is healed over. I've gotten used to navigating with part of it missing...

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[This is a new tidbit of information to Samus. She didn't really stop and think much about the hows and whys when she was a dragon and how she was able to fly around and navigate her ass back to the school with no problems.]

So fixing it would be just a cosmetic thing.

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-05 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Sort of. The first few weeks it was hard since they really help gauge the wind speed, direction and keep the internal balance. This is why they say that you can put down a Charizard by grabbing its horns, actually!

If I did fix it, it would require me to readjust to how it was before. Sort of like if someone had cut half of your finger off and then you got it somehow repaired? [WHAT ARE PROSTHETIC THAT IS UNKNOWN TO HER.] You know you used to have the hand before, but you got used to not using that finger. A bit like that! ...I think.

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Man, and she totally had Char by the horn too in their little impromptu spar (http://sbg-logs.livejournal.com/609696.html?thread=37676704#t37676704). DULY NOTED.]

I see. [Still, it perks her interest, at least maybe as a Biomech guinea pig project.]

Would you want to try and have fixed? We cover prosthetics in BioMech, I'm just not sure if it would do more harm than good at this point, since you've adjusted.

[A beat.]

...Prosthetics are artificial body parts.

[personal profile] punchvolcanoes 2011-05-08 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[What guinea pig aww. But um, you had her at fixing and the idea of someone doing something for her.]

I would be honored if you thought it might be an interesting project! I'm actually pretty curious at how it would work between changing from human to Charizard form and how you could make something that wouldn't break from the changes.

[She smiles.]

Besides, I'm always up for a challenge.

[identity profile] icequeen-aran.livejournal.com 2011-05-08 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I hadn't considered that at all.

[She returns the smile, that is to say it's a lop-sided smirk.]

It would be a challenge.
