What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an E# & F# table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 19th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

[The third group's restaurant is a rotating fancy restaurant, the tallest in all of FDC! The place is high up in the air, and you can see all of the city from above! It slowly moves around itself so you can see the city from 360 degrees.The menu has all sorts of things. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!

The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with reddish lanterns hanged on top. The overhead music is half traditional Italian love songs, half that band you don't remember the name of and sometimes a little song sneaks in. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English and talk-like-a-dis despite the menu not being 100% Italian.

Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.

Find your table!

Oh. So this guy was a magician. Giratina looked at the card with a look of distaste and boredom. An ace of spades. Well, at least he knew the magician wasn't planning on making any of those cheesy 'you've stolen my heart' card jokes.

"Great. Magic tricks. Because that definitely doesn't make you look like a dork." Giratina narrowed his eyes and leaned in closer to Eusine, to make more of a point. "You're better off trying stuff like that with a little girl like Dana, not me."

"I'm afraid I don't know this Dana person, but if she enjoys magic tricks, perhaps I'll share my knowledge of them with her," he shrugged. To be honest, Giratina's rudeness was bothering him, but the mystical man wasn't about to let it show. If this was how the Pokemon acted with strangers, then it wasn't a personal thing against Eusine. He could deal with it.

"My apologies if don't enjoy magic. I understand, though. It's not for everyone, after all. Since we're supposed to be getting to know each other, why don't you tell me what you do like?"

"I'd like you to shut up," Giratina muttered in response to Eusine's question as he flipped through the menu. Let's see here... Anything that sounded appetizing? Unfortunately, during his time on earth, Giratina had only ever eaten at cheap fast food restaurants, and didn't know what any of these things meant. What did they mean by courses? The first thing that came to mind was racing courses... What did that have to do with food?

After a while of reading the same dish over and over again with no different outcome, Giratina glanced up at Eusine. Mr. Fancy-pants would probably know something about how to order at one of these restaurants. The only problem was giving up his pride to ask for Eusine's help...

Well, this was becoming a rather unfortunate evening. First he was told not to do magic tricks. Now he was told to shut up? This kid certainly could be taught some manners. But Eusine wasn't a confrontational person, so he didn't say anything about it. Eusine figured that if Giratina really didn't want to be there, he would've left by now.

During the silence, the mystical man skimmed the menu. What an eclectic variety. There were so many dishes that sounded appetizing. Eusine tapped his chin in thought, trying to decide on what to order.

After a while more of silence, Giratina finally made up his mind. "Uh..." He looked down at his menu, then back up at Eusine. "...You can understand what this stuff is...?"

...Well, he hoped that was as close as he would ever have to get to asking for help.

"More or less," Eusine smiled. "I'm not too familiar with some of the more exotic ingredients, though."

He could understand the implication behind Giratina's comment. The unspoken "Do you understand this, because I don't" was loud and clear. But being a gentleman, Eusine didn't call the Pokemon out on it.

"There's such a wide variety. Lamb, fish, chicken, beef, salad... I'm not sure what to get. Is there anything you're particularly craving? Perhaps it'll give me some ideas."

Giratina hesitated for a while, then turned his menu so that it was facing Eusine. "...I think I'll get this one. I wonder if it's as good as the one I tried at that other restaurant," he said, pointing to a dish on the menu at random. He had no idea which course to choose from. Did it make a difference with which one he chose?

Eusine blinked as he read the dish. He half-believed Giratina's words, not wanting to judge someone he just met. "So you've had turbot before? It's a fairly versatile fish. The ginger sauce sounds good, especially when matched with the flavors of spinach and artichoke."

Looking back down at his own menu, he muttered, "Then again, all of the fish dishes sound good. Maybe I should get one too."

Giratina turned his menu back around and looked at the dish that they were talking about. How was anyone supposed to figure that the dish's title meant 'fish' of all things?! It was a good thing the magician seemed easy to fool. All he had to do was pretend that he knew what all of this stuff meant until the food came. Then he could just eat and leave!

"...Yeah... I usually end up ordering the turbot everywhere I go."

Continuing his oblivious facade, Eusine let out a low whistle. "Is that so? You must really like fish. What mature tastes you have."

He chuckled, "Most kids that I've met don't know too many different kinds of fish. Besides the more common salmon or cod, I mean. I guess it all depends where you grow up and what you're used to eating."

'Kid?' Giratina looked back up from his menu, and said, flatly, "I'm older than you are, bowtie-boy."

That caused Eusine to pause. He stared at Giratina for a few moments before chuckling. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any harm by that. You just look rather young. But I guess this is a case of 'not judging a book by its cover,' huh?"

Smiling, he continued, "If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?"

Giratina put a little effort into coming up with an answer for Eusine's question, but to no avail. How was he supposed to remember how old he was? After a while, one just gave up with counting the years.

Giratina decided to just leave it vague, and responded with a short, "I've been around since the beginning of the universe."

If Eusine hadn't been surprised before, he certainly was now. The beginning of the universe? That was quite a long time ago. But the only way someone could survive that was if they were a god or mythical being.

"So does that mean... you're immortal?" He didn't ask out of rudeness, but simple curiosity. Most legendary Pokemon lived for at least hundreds of years and many were considered 'gods' of some sort. Ever the one to expand his knowledge, Eusine wanted to know more.

Giratina smirked. It was about time this guy started admiring him. Maybe he could even get this magician to start worshiping him like he deserved... Although, that was probably a stretch.

"Yeah, I'm immortal." Giratina tried his best to say this as if it was no big deal. "You know, being a god and all..." WITH THE EMPHASIS ON GOD.

If Giratina was expecting immediate worship, he was looking in the wrong place. Eusine was more curious about the logistics of legendary Pokemon, not about the religious connotations.

"Oh, a god? Of what mythology? There seem to be many gods and powerful beings at this school," he recalled.

"The god of dimensions," Giratina said proudly, folding one leg over the other and leaning back in his chair. Now that he was given an opportunity to brag, this "date" was suddenly a lot more interesting.

"Dimensions..." Eusine tried out the word. That was a rather vague description. It could mean anything, from time to space to any sort of planes of existence! Though now that he thought of it, the three together did sound somewhat familiar.

"And what might be the name of this god of dimensions?"

"Giratina." He gave a cocky smirk at Eusine from across the table, looking as if what he had just said was the answer to the meaning of the universe. Waiting for a good reaction from Eusine was much better than any lame card tricks.

Sorry to disappoint, but Eusine was not up to date on most Sinnoh or even Hoenn myths. He folded his arms and wrinkled his nose, a thoughtful glare directed at the table.

"Giratina... Giratina... That sounds awfully familiar. I just can't remember where. Hm..." He tapped his foot, trying to recall where he had heard that name. "Perhaps you could tell me where you're from?"

Oh. Well, there went that confident smile. This guy didn't even recognize his name? That would be another to add to the group of people who didn't even know he existed.

"Oh! Sinnoh!" Eusine clapped his hands together. "No wonder! I'm sorry to admit that I'm not very familiar with Sinnoh mythology. But it's easy enough to put two and two together. So you must be one of the legendaries from Sinnoh! It all makes sense now."

And there was the energetic response that Giratina was probably expecting. No doubt this would give the student an excuse to brag about himself. Truthfully, Eusine did actually want to know more.

"Do you mind if I ask you some questions? Now that I know you're a Pokemon, I'm much more interested. For example, what type are you? Are you a part of a legendary trio? Sinnoh is notorious for its creation myths; are you a part of that?"

Finally! The reaction that he wanted! Giratina tried his best to look disinterested as he answered Eusine's questions, but couldn't help but smirk confidently. "I'm Ghost/Dragon- the best type combination out there. I've been around since the beginning of the world, with Dialga and Palkia. But..."

Now was the perfect chance to try to turn Eusine against the other two of the dragon legendaries. Giratina leaned looked back and forth, as if he was checking for someone's presence, then leaned across the table, his voice lowered to a whisper. "...They only listen to Arceus's orders. They're heartless beings who don't care at all about you humans like I do. They don't care about any living thing that isn't them or Arceus, for that matter. All they care about is if you worship them."

Eusine quirked an eyebrow. That didn't match his vague recollection of the mythology. "From what I know, Arceus is a very nice person. I haven't interacted with her that much, but from what I can tell, she's very friendly. Has a tendency to offer muffins," he muttered in a confused tone.

Giratina leaned back, folding his arms behind his head. For a while, Giratina looked almost disgusted. He still didn't like to be reminded that Arceus was at this very school.

"Hmph. Never judge a book by its cover. Just 'cause someone gives you muffins and acts like they're nice, it doesn't mean they aren't really a cruel god."
