BLIND DATES GROUP 3

What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an E# & F# table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 19th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

[The third group's restaurant is a rotating fancy restaurant, the tallest in all of FDC! The place is high up in the air, and you can see all of the city from above! It slowly moves around itself so you can see the city from 360 degrees.The menu has all sorts of things. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!

The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with reddish lanterns hanged on top. The overhead music is half traditional Italian love songs, half that band you don't remember the name of and sometimes a little song sneaks in. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English and talk-like-a-dis despite the menu not being 100% Italian.

Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.

If Giratina was expecting immediate worship, he was looking in the wrong place. Eusine was more curious about the logistics of legendary Pokemon, not about the religious connotations.

"Oh, a god? Of what mythology? There seem to be many gods and powerful beings at this school," he recalled.

"The god of dimensions," Giratina said proudly, folding one leg over the other and leaning back in his chair. Now that he was given an opportunity to brag, this "date" was suddenly a lot more interesting.

"Dimensions..." Eusine tried out the word. That was a rather vague description. It could mean anything, from time to space to any sort of planes of existence! Though now that he thought of it, the three together did sound somewhat familiar.

"And what might be the name of this god of dimensions?"

"Giratina." He gave a cocky smirk at Eusine from across the table, looking as if what he had just said was the answer to the meaning of the universe. Waiting for a good reaction from Eusine was much better than any lame card tricks.

Sorry to disappoint, but Eusine was not up to date on most Sinnoh or even Hoenn myths. He folded his arms and wrinkled his nose, a thoughtful glare directed at the table.

"Giratina... Giratina... That sounds awfully familiar. I just can't remember where. Hm..." He tapped his foot, trying to recall where he had heard that name. "Perhaps you could tell me where you're from?"

Oh. Well, there went that confident smile. This guy didn't even recognize his name? That would be another to add to the group of people who didn't even know he existed.

"...Sinnoh."

"Oh! Sinnoh!" Eusine clapped his hands together. "No wonder! I'm sorry to admit that I'm not very familiar with Sinnoh mythology. But it's easy enough to put two and two together. So you must be one of the legendaries from Sinnoh! It all makes sense now."

And there was the energetic response that Giratina was probably expecting. No doubt this would give the student an excuse to brag about himself. Truthfully, Eusine did actually want to know more.

"Do you mind if I ask you some questions? Now that I know you're a Pokemon, I'm much more interested. For example, what type are you? Are you a part of a legendary trio? Sinnoh is notorious for its creation myths; are you a part of that?"

Finally! The reaction that he wanted! Giratina tried his best to look disinterested as he answered Eusine's questions, but couldn't help but smirk confidently. "I'm Ghost/Dragon- the best type combination out there. I've been around since the beginning of the world, with Dialga and Palkia. But..."

Now was the perfect chance to try to turn Eusine against the other two of the dragon legendaries. Giratina leaned looked back and forth, as if he was checking for someone's presence, then leaned across the table, his voice lowered to a whisper. "...They only listen to Arceus's orders. They're heartless beings who don't care at all about you humans like I do. They don't care about any living thing that isn't them or Arceus, for that matter. All they care about is if you worship them."

Eusine quirked an eyebrow. That didn't match his vague recollection of the mythology. "From what I know, Arceus is a very nice person. I haven't interacted with her that much, but from what I can tell, she's very friendly. Has a tendency to offer muffins," he muttered in a confused tone.

Giratina leaned back, folding his arms behind his head. For a while, Giratina looked almost disgusted. He still didn't like to be reminded that Arceus was at this very school.

"Hmph. Never judge a book by its cover. Just 'cause someone gives you muffins and acts like they're nice, it doesn't mean they aren't really a cruel god."

"I suppose so," Eusine tapped his chin in thought. There were certainly quite a few mythological stories with cruel gods. In fact, depending on the region, there seemed to be more cruel ones than benevolent ones. But he still didn't want to pass judgment until he learned more about Arceus.

The waiter came at that moment. Eusine took the liberty of ordering for both of them. After taking their orders, the waiter left.

Giratina's smirk returned. He was obviously pleased with Eusine agreeing with him. That, and he was glad that Eusine handled his order for him. Giratina didn't even know how the dish's name was pronounced.

"Who knows whether or not those muffins were actually safe, anyway?" Giratina said, picking at the table cloth out of boredom.

Eusine let out a thoughtful hum. "Consider how often she hands them out, I would think at least one person would have noticed if they caused unwanted side effects." Then again, crazier things had happened at this school.

"Yeah, if they remembered- or even lived- to warn anyone else." Making up stories as he went along was surprisingly fun, to tell the truth! Maybe he should write a book about how evil Arceus was... No, never mind. That would be stupid.

The thought that people could have died or disappeared from the school and no one noticed seemed even more far fetched. Loss of memory, maybe. But death? Eusine was certain the headmaster would step in by then.

"If you say so." The brunet was seriously doubting Giratina's words by now. But if the Pokemon wanted to believe that the mystical man was hanging onto his every words, then so be it. Anything to make the evening more bearable.

Thankfully the food arrived at that time. The turbot was placed in front of the student while Eusine's snapper quickly followed. The aroma of cooked fish floated about their table.

"It smells delicious," he smiled.

Giratina still strongly believed that Eusine was taking his story for fact, and was looking forward to seeing whether or not his story about Arceus being evil would spread around. He was planning on adding to the story- most likely unintentionally making it even less believable- but then the food came.

Although he hated to agree with Eusine, it did look much better than those grease-covered burgers that he usually bought from the cheaper places in the city. He actually couldn't wait to try it. As soon as the plate touched the table, Giratina was already stabbing his fork into the middle of the fish and preparing to take a bite.

Digging into his own meal, Eusine smiled. It tasted just as good as it smelled! Leave it to the headmaster to pick an amazing restaurant like this. The brunet could barely stop eating, the food was that good.

But he quickly remembered his table etiquette. "How is it?" he asked. "Just as good as all the other turbot you've had?" Alright, so maybe he was teasing the student a little now.

Unlike Eusine, Giratina didn't even have any table etiquette to remember. When Eusine spoke, he at least looked up, fork halfway to his mouth. "'t's great," He muttered, his mouth still full of food. And this time he was telling the truth. It really was one of the best things he had ever eaten.

Eusine softly chuckled at Giratina's lack of manners. He half-expected such a response, but it was still humorous. At least it seemed like the student truly was enjoying his meal.

It didn't take long for Eusine to scarf down the rest of his dish. Despite some questionable conversation matter, the evening had proceeded fairly nicely. The food definitely made up for it. "That hit the spot," he laughed.

Giratina finished off scraping every bit of food off of the plate, then leaned back in his chair. "Yeah... It was pretty good..." He made it sound like it was the hardest thing in the word to agree with Eusine, but he admitted that the food was good nonetheless.

After a while of relaxing, he looked around the restaurant. He got his food, did that mean that he could finally leave? He decided to test whether or not he could leave.

"...Well, I guess I'll be going now..."

"Oh?" Well yes, technically he could leave whenever he wanted. Since the tab was on the headmaster, they didn't have to worry about paying. The conversation might have taken an odd turn at the end, but for the most part, it had been enjoyable. Eusine was reluctant to see Giratina leave.

"If you have other business to attend to, then please do. I wouldn't want you to keep anyone waiting. I think I'll stay and digest a little."

"Oh. Uh. Right. Remember to watch out for Arceus, by the way." As Giratina left, he realized that he would almost prefer it if they didn't receive the discount. Then he would have the privilege of walking away and leaving Eusine with the bill.

He couldn't help but smirk as he tried to imagine the look on the magician's face if he were to open the bill and realize that he had to pay such a large amount for the meal.
