BLIND DATES GROUP 2
What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an C# &D# table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 19th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.
[The second group's restaurant is Asian Fusion Dinning. The rooms looks fancy but down to earth and the menu is very varied. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!
The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with Japanese and Chinese wallscrolls and paintings. The overhead music is traditional yet somehow futuristic Asian music, to fit with the theme. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English.
Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.
Find your table!
OH YEAH AND FEEL FREE TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!]

This will be MAGICAL. ... or at least sparkly.
His dress aside, he had donned his political mode of socialization not unlike his dealings at the Kremlin or some such; he was willing to spare the fewest pleasantries he could squeeze out of his violent self for a face not unlike his Vanya. And he loved every inch of his snowy, perfect Vanya.
(Wonder where he was.)
"A pleasure, then." The usual barbs of his voice had been retracted, for now. He still had something of a strong accent. "I'm Yevgeny."
IT ALREADY IS SPARKLY!
*TWINKLE*
"Yes."
The Soviet had noted that pause in Joshua's words. He sat there, with all the tension of waiting for a very adverse reaction when the realization hit.
Three... two... one... and...
*SHINES*
"Well, it can just be a get to know each others as friends thing. 'Stead of a date. How's that sound?" he played with the small card with nimble fingers, bright grin returning to his face. He wasn't one to overly care about appearances, nor was he easily intimidated. Mainly, he didn't really care that much about those aspects, unless the person proved to be a dangerous one.
omg a shiny *grabs pokeball*
To that, he adjusted himself in his chair. Damn thing was too small for him, like everything else. Creeak, shuffle, groan.
"Oh. How disappointing." Volgin leaned in. "But you're still here, with a face like mine..." A chuckle. "I suppose that would merit some credit for you, Joshua." As he pulled back, he tasted the name on his tongue, let it roll off.
/USES SELF DESTRUCT
With a wave of a hand Joshua dismissed Volgin's words, not backing away but not leaning forward like he did. "I've seen worse," he remarked. "And now I'm earning credits?" The question wasn't serious, meant more as a joke. It was hard to tell that Joshua felt a tad uncomfortable with how Volgin had said his name, and there was still no obvious visible reaction.
SUNNUVAAAAAHHH...!
Hm.
"So, your..." He was looking for an appropriate word. "... Outfit. Tell me about it."
He took a moment to see if they were in the smoking section or not. As the realization that the Soviet Union was dead sunk in deeper and his time in the military, his privilege, and wealth grew further and further behind him, he had been filling the gap with cigar smoke. The giant had been smoking more than usual. He could use one now.
MUAHAHAHAHA
"My outfit?" The thought that his clothing was weird hadn't occurred to Joshua, his head tilting downwards and gaze shifting to quickly examine the garb. "It's what every swordmaster wears," he shrugged, not sure what to say about it. Though his might have a slight spin to it, a bit fancier than the usual - due to how he had received it from someone in the palace a long time ago. When he had left, the outfit was brought along for the day when he could dub himself a swordmaster instead of a myrmidon - a level higher.
wibble~~~ 8<
Now, the simple mention of "swordsmaster" brought a piqued brow.
"You speak as if it is a common thing." His tone was that of an observer: Some of the residents of the Academy had very much indicated they were from another sort of existence. Although, as far as the giant could tell, any indication of magic might as well have been a fancy, obtuse term for what was properly termed napalm. "Where are you from?"
/fainted
"Jehanna, in magvel," he then said, voice turning fond and almost reminiscent. As much as the desert hated him, it was still his home and his land. Including the people, the society, the culture, his right to rule and right to protect. The experience of dining in a modern restaurant was not something that Joshua was familiar with, thus he had no idea about if the food was late - or even early, in a fancy place like this.
"And you?" Volgin's appearance was unrecognizable to any certain region that Joshua knew of, and certainly dissimilar to the airy clothes that he was used to seeing in Jehanna. The weather there was hot and dry, never cold and wet.
