BLIND DATES GROUP 2

What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with an C# &D# table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: November 19th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

[The second group's restaurant is Asian Fusion Dinning. The rooms looks fancy but down to earth and the menu is very varied. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!

The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with Japanese and Chinese wallscrolls and paintings. The overhead music is traditional yet somehow futuristic Asian music, to fit with the theme. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English.

Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.

"I just need some sorta weapon that'll work when I'm human. Most my plant moves just ain't as strong when I am, and I got things to protect. Guerrilla don't work as well when you're a dinosaur the size've a car.

Plus, y'know. To shut Char's asshole face up." That was also very important.

"Oh right!" she said, suddenly remembering where she had last saw him. "You got to fight Max, didn't you?" Yeah Lash remembered that battle alright. Remembered it well.

NNNNGHDFKGG the spar that no one was ever going to let him forget.

Vinnie grimaced. He was about to be very sore if the paddle-ball thing was mentioned again. "Yeah..."

"Yeah don't be too surprised if you lost," she replied with a grin. "Max is pretty much...well...Max. He's also an Orange Star Commanding Officer like I am. As you probably guessed he deals with hard hitting. But put him around 20 feet from something? It doesn't work. He can't shoot a gun without the bullet just...falling to the ground.

Anyway I don't think I saw him loose a duel yet so..eh. When Flak was here maybe he could have stood a chance."

"I wasn't really expectin' to walk away with a win anyhow. But, I figured I could piss'im off at least." Vinnie looked somewhat proud of himself for this little achievement. "Seems like vomitin' on a guy and draining his health does that pretty well."

"Yeah I saw that," she nodded, remembering the purplish goo that came out of his mouth (eww and here there we gonna eat things). "I think I heard Max thinking it was almost like Hawke's Black Storm? Teehee! That's pretty dumb, but that's our Max and something he'd say. Figures Max would go apeshit after that. They don't like each other very well and all."

"Guess that explains it. Still don't know what a Black storm is, but," Vinnie shrugged, "Giga Drain's just plant energy. I'm either Grass or Poison, nothin' Dark-type about it."

And speaking of poison and his regurgitate-at-will digestive system and other things that shouldn't be used as dinner conversation... Vinnie wasn't hungry! He hardly ever was. But odds were, he figured, that Lash could use some grub.

Glancing at the circulation of waiters in the room, he suggested, "Maybe we should order somethin'. Seems like a waste if we don't."

"Giga Drain..." Again, Lash had paid little attention to attacks that her own Pokemon couldn't use or possibly learn. The idea that Black Storm was dark type did make her giggle. Hawke would make a fine Xatu. Maybe. If he had evolved that one time.

But food! Her eyes darted on all these fancy-smansy things up on the menu, zeroing in on the sushi and sashimi platters. She knew how to make those! She could compare the taste! And Miso soup! She remembered Espio making that a long time ago.

"I can't understand half of this stuff but the sushi and the Miso soup seem nice," she told him. "Have you ever had them?"

"Sometime Koz makes Magikarp sashimi and stuff. Not a big fan of fish though." Pause, as he scanned the menu. Lot of seafood there. "Or meat. Or eggs, and milk."

Vinnie frowned slightly - seems like only one of the entrees didn't have meat, and even then I wondered if he could even finish eating it. If he wanted something to chew on, it was either that or seaweed.

"Guess I'm left with this Asian Vegetables thing and Miso."

"You're in luck, I also don't like milk," she replied. "And Asian cuisine doesn't seem to have much of it." She put down her menu. "You know that they vegetarian maki rolls right?"

She had tried them once. They tasted terrible.

"You could always ask the servers to give you something different too! A lot of places will be happy to make a special dish for you if you threaten them en--I mean show them the money, teeheehee!"

"Naw, I'm good. Probably couldn't finish a whole dish anyway. Not a big eater." Vinnie shrugged and put down the menu. Asian vegetables it was - as vague as the name sounded.

"Most days I get by with just havin' a large smoothie and a couple'a bugs. As long as I get enough sun in the morning." Out of conversational courtesy, he added, "So what're you getting?"

"Getting a mixture of the sushi stuff with a few maki rolls," she explained before she looked at him, an eyebrow raised in amusement. "A...bug smoothie." She shrugged. "Eh, takes all kinds. I guess sunlight would work what with the giant flower and all. You guys are good with flowers right? I brought plants home one time and Bulba showed me how to take care of them."

"Damn straight." Vinnie smirked with a distinct sense of Grass type pride. "Venusaurs are pretty much built for protectin' forests and makin' flowers bloom. There's nothing I love more - 'cept for my team, of course.

"What about you? With all the tanks and stuff, I'm guessing Orange Star's some military type outfit? What is it, exactly?"

Haha, love for his team, did Lash feel a ping of jealousy, especially with what had happened with Zapdos?

"It's not an outfit," she corrected him, missing the point. "It's a Nation. Orange Star, Blue Moon, Yellow Comet, Green Earth and a while ago, Black Hole. I was part of Black Hole back then." She moved her arms as she spoke, pointing to herself. "I was...well I still am, a Commanding Officer."

Ohh, theme naming. That was kind of fun. (He felt a little partial towards Green Earth already, despite knowing nothing else about them, but that was an obvious bias.)

"Guess a genius with tank-laser-machines'd be perfect for gettin' in the army. Must be a helluva place, havin' guys who can make it to Commanding Officer so young." Said the Venusaur who belonged to a kid who took down a criminal organization before he hit puberty.

"Fightin' for your home though, I can dig that. Used t'do similar too."

"Yeah..." she trailed off. "It was pretty exciting when I got picked out at fourteen...." It was a bit refreshing to have people who didn't know the entire Black Hole history, but having to explain it began to weight on her as time went on.

"It's pretty different than Pokemon battles, let me tell you that."
