Biology - Pikmin
As I had promised last class I have brought in the potted Pikmin to class. They're way easier to carry around when you're not almost only three feet.
*There are three pots on his desk, one contains a red Pikmin, the other a yellow and the last one a blue*
I couldn't bring in the purple or white types, sorry. They're an awful pain to grow in numbers if you ask me. Well anyways, they may look like plants but they're so much more than that!
(OOC: OLOLOL NO EFFORT IN SKETCH BELOW)

Note the ominous glow around the tip of the stem, this Pikmin has reach the flower stage. should get it out before it reverts back to leaf form again... Now WHY they glow in the ground or when dismissed from duty I still have yet to look into.
So...I guess before I go on any further everyone in here can observe them if they'd like. Just be careful and don't hurt them.
I need a break anyways so take as long as you'd like. How convenient for myself. I hope I don't look too exhausted. I was up all night again...

*observes some more*
If I may ask, do each of the colors display different traits? I wonder how they can live and grow within the soil as well. Do they not breathe?

*Gently touches the back of his finger to one of the petals.*
Hrm... About the leaves and the flowers... Depending on what it has, does the Pikmin's behaviour change at all?

I'm not Mr. Powalski so don't try cutting them up or anything crazy like that.no subject

*very quickly the robot zig-zagged past the students' feet, and made it to the feet of the professor, and pulled on his pant leg to get his attention, before it opened its head compartment and pulled out squirter full of a nectar-like substance*

They're so small and delicate-looking... but they also look so resilient! Awwww~! <3 Can't. Stop. Girlying!
*goes eye-level with one of the Pikmin and makes a tickling motion with a finger* Hello, little guy! You're too cute for words, aren't you? Yes, you are! Yes, you are!

Ahh, I missed out on a-plucking the Pikmin?!
I'm . . . I'm so sad . . .
Is there any chance we could take any a-home? I would love one! Mario'd might like it as well, like a pet!
no subject
Sheesh I promised I wouldn't let students off the hook anymore but I've grown to like you all so much and I believe the apologies...I'm sorry you weren't here, but alas Pikmin are more interesting when they're moving about, yes? Feel free to take one that haven't been claimed home.

*walks over to one and kneels down, holding out his hand* Hey there, little fella.
Um, Professor...do you know...if they can absorb any traits of the habitat around them? Like various plants or animals?
YAY LIFE!
Hey... Teacher...
What's this?

*motions to the five red Pikmin behind him*
They're nuts.
Also, you wouldn't believe just how crazy it was for me. I mean, I planted the one seed, then that one became two, and then that two was four. There'd be more, if there was room. I guess I always did have a way with plants, hahaha! I guess I should be thankful I bought this watering can.
*holds it up*
...I wonder if I could cross breed them with a rose...
