Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus.
When: March 13th - April 13th. The whole month.
Warnings: YOU KNOW YOURSELVES

We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and the characters that reside there (just for reference!). You do not have to use one character's thread as a dual-purpose for both characters if you do not want to. Doesn't have to be a dorm room, either, if you have something else in mind.

This month sees the added addition of the fallen Egg Carrier--the debris still litter the lakeside.

BONUS EVENT TIME!!

March 16th
Are you Irish? No? TOO BAD, you are now. Many of the bars and clubs downtown are having green-flavored festivities. Sure, they're stated to be for those of legal age, but that's never stopped people before, right?

April 1st
OH NO IT'S APRIL FOOL'S. Crazy Hand is out and about, slapping unsuspecting students and faculty with fish stickers. What? If you are unfortunate enough to fall victim to his pranking ways, you might find yourself saddled with a minor curse (hair color change, uncontrollable sneezing, anything you want, really) for as long as the sticker is on your person. The catch--try as you might, you can't remove it. Someone else will have to take it off for you, which might be a tall order if the sticker makes you say everything backwards.

((1) March 23rd-25th)

What in the heck is going on!? Tiny little pixel bikers racing across the city... okay he's seen weirder things, but still! He's just going to kind of run through the city, watching out for them and flying over the street when he has to cross. This could get ugly if he runs out of energy...

((2) April 1st)

Hey, look, it's Tails! .... Tail. Because he has one tail. That's funny, right? Well it isn't to him. Ever since he got that fish sticker put on him, he's been unable to fly due to completely missing a tail! This really bites.

((3) April 3rd)

Looks like Tails is at it again - practicing in the stadium with all the items turned on and the stadium changing locations every two minutes. Part of it is working off some stress from the previous April Fools' event. Part of it is just for fun. He has a few sandbags thrown around the arena that he's using for target practice with the throwing items.

Between location shifting, he's forced to stop and take a bit of a rest. Perfect time to bother him...

Tails can be found around the dorms, sitting outside reading, tinkering with mechanical things in his old workshop as well as the school workshop, among other things. Anything goes! This is a wild card prompt!

April 3rd

As part of her continued attempt to familiarize herself with the academy, Wave learned about the properties of the stadium. A wide open space with holographic emitters that could simulate any environment she wanted... Sounded like her kind of place. She could keep her racing skills sharp with simulated tracks.

She didn't expect to find Tails of all people there already, and Wave was left to watch for a while, Gear under her arm. Hm. He had some skill at fighting, it seemed. She hadn't seen him in battle before...

He used the sandbags as targets as he tossed the items around, even sometimes tossing a wrench that acted as a boomerang. Unfortunately, stationary targets could only do so much. Still, any practice is better than no practice.

The fox boy was, surprisingly, very light on his feet, using moves he'd seen Sonic do in the past, relying on spindashes only a little for his speed. In fact, it seemed like he'd learned new techniques for battling here, as he was kicking off of the sides of a building for increased height before using his tails to fly. After all, having limited stamina for flying was a fairly huge issue for him.

Eventually, the timer ran out, and the locale shimmered and went back to the normal Stadium, giving a minute or two before it loaded up the next one. Tails landed and gave himself a few seconds to catch his breath.

So that's how this stadium worked, huh? Interesting... She'd have to remember this.

As the setting changed, and Tails caught his breath, a soccer ball rolled up by Wave's feet. A smirk crossed her face.

"Think fast, Foxy!" she called out, kicking the ball in his direction.

He wasn't ready for that. He turned towards the voice and saw a soccer ball coming right at his face.

He thought fast. He ducked mere seconds before the ball would've hit him, and it sailed over his head instead. "Hey! What was that for!?" Then he saw who said it, and the stadium fully changed to a vaguely familiar place to Tails - though he hadn't actually been there before - Green Hill Zone.

"Checking out the stadium, Wave?" He scanned the area for items - better be prepared in case she challenges him.

"Just checking if you were as in the zone as you looked," she teased.

"So, a holographic training room, huh? Kinda like the treasure chamber in Babylon Garden," she remarked, looking around, Gear still under her arm.

"It's pretty neat. You can set it to tons of different locations, and items will appear like the ones you see here... and people duke it out. I've never used it much myself before, but I've been training more recently." He looked back over to Wave. "It's really only for actual fights, though."

"And obviously training," she added. "So the whole fighting school thing wasn't just for brochures, huh? They actually do that here?"

"Yup." He picked up a pitfall item, and chucked it over to the side. "Never hurts to learn how to fight like this. It could come in handy someday."

"So, are there any rules for the fights here?" Wave asked curiously.

pfff hoping this is all right, just going by game rules here...

"Only a few static rules. Knocking someone out of the arena gives you a point. Sometimes you only have a certain number of times you can get knocked out before you're out of the match. Sometimes it's a race to get the most points in a short amount of time. The more you get hit within the arena, the further you get knocked back when someone hits you, and it resets when you get knocked out."

Honestly Tails wasn't entirely sure how the stadium affected these things, and somehow made it where most attacks don't hurt as much as they normally would.

"And other than that, anything goes?" she asked again, leaning against her board.

"Pretty much!" He remembered there being some unique rules during a couple of tournaments, but they weren't anything special.

"So you've been practicing for a while, huh?" she asked. "Think you could take me down?"

[twotailedgenius]

"For a good while, off and on." Even from his last visit. At her question though... he rubs the back of his neck. "I could try. It's been a long time since I've actually battled against someone else in the stadium."

His expression then turned determined.

"But like everything else, I'd give it my all."

"Then how about we see what you've learned in all that time away, Foxy," she said, letting her Gear fall to hovering and hopping onto it.

Was she actually challenging him? It sure sounded like it, so he prepared himself. If she was going to use her Gear, he'd have to keep on his toes.

"Alright, let's do it."

Green Hill, two minutes, all items.. just gotta watch out for the random platform destruction.

Wave might have been a bit overconfident in challenging him like this out of the blue, but overconfidence was her middle name. Actually it was "The", but let's not get into that again.

When the battle started, she took off towards him at high speed, zipping in to throw the first blow, a kick delivered as she passed him.

He almost took that one, not realizing she'd be coming at him at high speed - he barely rolled to the side, and looked around, getting his bearings. Items would probably be his best bet, since Wave and her Gear would be significantly faster and more efficient at covering ground than Tails would.

Spotting a small laser gun on the ground, he spindashed towards it and picked it up, aiming to get some distance away before uncurling and firing some shots at Wave.

Where the heck did THAT come from?! She had to almost fall over backwards to avoid a close shot, and flipped her Gear to evade. She still ended up taking a few hits, caught off guard. But she had some weapons of her own.

A compartment on her Gear opened up. Wave always kept a few... 'fireworks' on hand for just such an occasion. She pulled a bomb, chucking it in Tails' direction.

If Tails was ever around the stadium when he wasn't training, he would catch Mac really working hard putting up a set. A large boxing ring sat in the middle and Mac was hard at working. So much so, that he wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings.

If Tails were curious, then well, he was more than welcome to proceed.

The boxing ring caught Tails' interest, and he went up to greet Mac. But he definitely seemed to be working really hard, so he waited for a good opportunity before walking up to him.

"Hey! What's the boxing ring for?"

April 1st

'Hey look, it's Tails' is right! Wow, what is with all these old friends showing up? As always, Pit needs to be cautious about how he addresses them, because there's a chance they won't remember him and give him all sorts of funny looks because some stranger with chicken wings is acting all chummy with them out of the blue.

Trying to make as casual an approach as possible, he greets the two-tailed... (?) fox with a simple, "Hi!" Then, he awaits his reaction with suspense. Will he remember him or not?

It took Tails a moment or two to recognize who it was... but he was definitely smiling big once he realized who it was.

"Pit! Hey! Long time, no see!"

In return, Pit's smile grew even bigger than Tails's. His heart felt like it had exploded into an orb of pure light. He remembered!

"It's been forever! Boy, do I love seeing old friends again! You don't look like you've changed one bit."

And then his eyes zeroed in on one important detail. His face fell and gave way to a brief interlude of puzzlement.

"Actually, wait. Something's missing."
