LOOK. UP IN THE SKY.

Who: All of Smash.
What: Dorm log!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus.
When: March 13th - April 13th. The whole month.
Warnings: YOU KNOW YOURSELVES

We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and the characters that reside there (just for reference!). You do not have to use one character's thread as a dual-purpose for both characters if you do not want to. Doesn't have to be a dorm room, either, if you have something else in mind.

This month sees the added addition of the fallen Egg Carrier--the debris still litter the lakeside.

Thank you to Angela for the original text! Here are the school's living arrangements, for reference.

BONUS EVENT TIME!!

March 16th
Are you Irish? No? TOO BAD, you are now. Many of the bars and clubs downtown are having green-flavored festivities. Sure, they're stated to be for those of legal age, but that's never stopped people before, right?

March 23rd - 25th
THE GREAT EXCITEBIKE MIGRATION. Better stay out of the streets or you might get run oveBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBbbbbbBBBbBbBBBBBb

April 1st
OH NO IT'S APRIL FOOL'S. Crazy Hand is out and about, slapping unsuspecting students and faculty with fish stickers. What? If you are unfortunate enough to fall victim to his pranking ways, you might find yourself saddled with a minor curse (hair color change, uncontrollable sneezing, anything you want, really) for as long as the sticker is on your person. The catch--try as you might, you can't remove it. Someone else will have to take it off for you, which might be a tall order if the sticker makes you say everything backwards.

LIBRARY TIME

[personal profile] testgasm 2015-03-18 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wheatley lives in the library. He is usually in his Aperture-brand chassis, as it gives him the advantage of both legs and arms with which to carry many books. Sometimes he is not in the chassis and is an eyeball robot dangling from the ceiling. Sometimes he is neither of those things and is a squishy ginger.

Whatever he is, he is always ready and willing to help you find the book you need, even if you don't know you need it. Even if you don't want his help.

Here he is.

For you.

Rock didn't want Wheatley to be there.

For him.

He just wanted to find something fun to read. And boy, did Wheatley know just how to get his goat and freak him out. So better to just avoid the confrontation all together. Hopefully the eyeball didn't notice him...

Wheatley was like, 80 percent eyeball. He wasn't missing anything. In a (clunky, awkward) flash, he was right here, within uncomfortable distance of Rock.

"Hello! Is there--Can I help you with something?"

Oh. Great. That didn't work.

"Um... Just... looking for fiction...?" he asked. Hopefully this conversation would be short and sweet.

That wasn't going to happen.

[personal profile] testgasm 2015-03-26 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Of course it didn't work. Of course this was going to be the opposite of short and sweet...long and...terrible.

"Well, uh. Fiction's sort of a--sort of a broad category. Might need you to be more specific."
megabuster: ([Rock] aheh)

[personal profile] megabuster 2015-03-27 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Rock was quickly realizing that.

"I just wanted to find something fun to read," he said. "So um... Can you point me in the general direction...?"

"Oh, you'll be looking forever, if I do that."

Trust him. He knows the library. "What are you--d'you have any hobbies? Interests, as it were?"
megabuster: ([Rock] Listening)

[personal profile] megabuster 2015-03-28 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
The whole point of this was escapism, something outside the norm. "Can you maybe tell me where to find... adventure? Science fiction?" he asked.
testgasm: <lj site="livejournal.com" user="relicfragments"> (AAAAAA...A)

[personal profile] testgasm 2015-03-28 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, yes. That I can do. Follow me!"

You have to follow him, Rock. This is your life now.
megabuster: ([Rock] Relief)

[personal profile] megabuster 2015-03-28 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay... Sure. Thanks."

Well, maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all...
testgasm: <lj site="livejournal.com" user="relicfragments"> (seriously how hard is it to say apple)

[personal profile] testgasm 2015-03-29 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
It was that bad.
megabuster: ([Rock] ...)

[personal profile] megabuster 2015-03-30 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes it was.

About an hour later, Rock finally spoke up. "Um, I don't mean to be rude, but... Are we anywhere near where we're going?"

Wheatley had been talking the entire time.
