Dance Club: Hips Don't Lie

What: Time for some more belly dancing, Dance Club.

With all the chaos going on, the people needed something fun to do. Something to take their minds off of the uncertainty and mystery. Luckily, Shantae was ready to provide.

"All right," she said, "today we're going to be revisiting belly dancing. It's been a little while since we tried this, so I want to check on everyone's form and show some new steps!" she explained eagerly. "So, anyone want to start off with a demo of what they learned last time?"

"I should be, I've been practicing all my life," Shantae replied, stepping to the left, to the right, shimmying to the beat.

[flamejock]

"Like, even as a puppy you used to dance like that?" asked the man.

[magicdancer]

"Not EXACTLY like this," she explained, gyrating those amazing hips and turning as she did. "I didn't start off this good at it! And I was never a puppy. I was a kid."

[flamejock]

"Oh, I was a puppy. I was super cute. The cutest puppy. My mom said so, so it's true. I was very little and fluffy and only as tall as her knees."

[magicdancer]

"You must be proud."

With that, she finished her demonstration as the song came to a close. "So you see what I mean now?"

[flamejock]

"Yeah, probably," said Jock who sort of saw what she was doing.

Could he imitate it? Why not give it a try.

So he does. It. Well it lacks grace. It lacks a lot of grace. But at least he's enthusiastic about the experience. He's got a dumb grin plastered on his face.

[magicdancer]

"...It's... getting there," she said, trying not to outright tell him that was awful. "You need to work on being more graceful and smooth. Like a wave that starts from your hips and works its way up."
