Where: The Stadium.

Whether you've been here every year for what seems like eternity, or this is your first time, nothing quite compares to the feeling of Graduation Day.



The Stadium was decked out in school colors and the lights were bright. The stage was simple, classy and bereft of decoration barring the happy, smiling faces of your Headmasters and Teachers. (Those of them who do smile, at any rate.) Congratulations on your impending steps forward, those of you who made it through the school year! Hope your gowns are clean and your hats are appropriately be-tassled!

Of course, such pomp and circumstance can't go on forever. Once all the formalities and diplomas and congratulatory Hand shakes are out of the way, we have Prom! There's tables and chairs set up at the other end of the Stadium, and a huge table covered in all manner of finger foods guaranteed not to dribble or splatter on your rental tux or beautiful dress - so long as you're careful, anyway. And don't forget the dance floor and the plethora of music picked just for all of you to dance to! Tonight should be a night to remember!

Blaze will probably be able to tell when Sonic notices her. The breathless gasp is audible even over the music.

"Ghh. Bh."

Unfortunately that's all he can say right now because of the sight of her in her purple regalia. She's pretty much jammed his brain into neutral.

Blaze blushed at the sight of him in his cute tux, not to mention the look he was giving her. "Should I take that as approval...?" she asked, trying her best to sound composed and not petrified with nervousness.

"Uh huh..." He replies, a little dreamily and not quite able to produce anything beyond a monosyllabic response yet. She always was pretty, but this framed it in a completely new way for him. Sure, he knew she was a princess, but he never thought he'd seen her look so much like royalty as he did now.

"Y... you look incredible, Blaze." He finally adds, and after the idea visibly dawns on him that he ought to be a gentlehog for once, he offers his hand. "Do you... wanna dance?"

Smiling through her blush, glad that she hadn't overdone it, and that he appreciated her look, Blaze took his offered hand, giving it a light squeeze. "It would be my pleasure, Sonic," she said back. Did he even know how to dance...?

In the sense of trained ballroom dancing?

Nope, never took a lesson in his life. However, he can fake it well, or at least he thinks. Luckily it's not a slow song, so this theory doesn't have to be tested just yet. He hops out onto the dance floor, spins in place and takes her hand again, moving with the music.

That was good enough for her. She felt her heart racing as they moved together with the music, hand squeezing his as she stared into his eyes. It felt... right.

"Sonic the Hedgehog dances," she said with a small smirk. Do the wonders cease?"

"Nope. Not when we're together!"

He spins her once and turns on his toes himself, not able to keep his natural angular momentum from showing. The paper decorations next to the dance floor ripple slightly when he does.

"Speakin' of which, I've got a surprise for you. I'm gonna have to show you later, but don't let me forget!"

Blaze raised an eyebrow, smiling curiously. She held on tight when he caught up to her, feeling the wind of his swift movement as it fluttered the hem of her skirt along with the decorations.

"A surprise? You sure know how to pique my interest," she said. "Don't worry, I won't let you forget."

"Great." He adds, scooping her into a collective twirl of carefully-retrained RPMs... for him, anyway.

"So, you wanna drink? A snack? A weekend away from the world?" He... might be joking with that as he sets her down again. Maybe. "G'wan, tonight it's all you! All you have to do is ask, n' it's yours!"

"Something to drink would be nice," she said with a smile, and then added, "But put a pin in that weekend away from the world idea for later."

When he set her down, her hands rested on his shoulders and she looked up into his eyes. "You know, I've never seen you in a suit before. You look good," she said, cheeks pink with blush.
