A rather dull weekend over Webflix
Who: Charlise and anyone who happens upon the game room.
What: Lazy, rainy weekend.
Where: Game room
When: Weekend 7/11 - 7/12
Warnings: It's Kitty. That's warning enough.
Ever since returning to Smash, Kitty had felt sort of distant. Not in the way she had felt before, but more in the way of being confused and without purpose. She already knew she felt alone due to the lack of having some of the very few people she got close to. Even if she'd never tell them, she did feel lost without them, her team. A glimmer of silver was the fact that, while under her own problems and stress, Evve was still around. And she had heard that the ketchup meathead was still around too as well as her old roommate. But alas, they had their things, their friends and their lives to live. Kitty had... well, Kitty had fuckall.
She had made her way down to the front, and had packed a bag with treats in hopes that maybe an outting in the woods that she used to haunt would give her some answer and as soon as she opened the damned doors a fucking downpour decided to break lose. You know what they say about summer rains? Well fuck them.
She looked back and saw that the game room lobby was empty, probably because everyone was out and about having a blast during summer <s>unbeknownst to Kitty of the crazy shit happening around the school</s>. Making her way to the couch, she dropped down, set her bag besides her and loaded up Webflix on the widescreen. Maybe it was just a movie day...
Or days... cause Kitty just lost track of time while marathoning movies and series. You'll find her through two days worth of movies and random shows, nibbling on her snacks as she rearranges herself every so often. The genres vary but you'll generally find her watching depressing shit, horror movies, suspense, sci-fi, thrillers, psychological and that sort of thing.

"Like what. What is so great on the internet that you can't find a better version of it in the real world?" he asked, slapping the couch to emphasize the real world. Because. Y'know. It's a real couch. You can't lie down on an Internet with your dirty work boots on the arm rest.
no subject
"The real world fucking sucks dude. You made it pretty clear already that you pretty much share that sentiment. Don't go prattling about shit just cause you don't know how to work the magic that is the interwebs."
no subject
He shrugged. "And I know how to work it just fine. I know how to use Google. YouTube. Whatever. Type shit in, find things to look at. It ain't rocket science. It just ain't as marvelous as you seem t'think it is."
no subject
"Honestly, the world's just as fucked up as the people in it, but I think you're right, maybe it just needs less people."
no subject
"The world is just fine. This one, anyway. I got no clue where you're from or what it's like there. Except apparently folks where you're from can walk through walls."
no subject
"I guess this place is alright, though I have a feeling ya ain't been here long enough. Just give it some time."
no subject
Finding out things he shouldn't know? Controlling things? Nah. He was hardly the James Bond type.
"I been here roughly five months. It's a huge step up from where I used to live. Weird as all get-out but not bad. Never thought I'd get to unload a shotgun into the stomach of a giant robot monkey."

Charlise shrugged and went back to the movie.
"Though, I guess if you still manage to like it after a longer stay than you are either hella fuckin' dumb, or your world musta ssssuuuuucked."

...speaking of which, the student lounge had a coffee station. Don't mind if I do.
He got up and started making himself a cup.
"You want one?"
no subject
"Yeah, sure... whatever..." she paused.
"7 sugars... milk, no creamer."
no subject
"Paradise it ain't. I dunno. A girl who can move through walls might have an easier time of it than most folks." he said, adding milk and carefully handing her the cup.
no subject
She took the cup without a lick of thanks besides a shifted, almost uncomfortable nod as she averted her gaze quick. "Yeah, well I'm sure there's plenty of ways to survive that shit. I mean, you're here and you look like you got dragged through that fuckery for a while."
no subject
He sat back down with his own cup of coffee and blew on it a little.
"You learn to survive real quick or you... don't. Being able to just walk out of a building without needin' to find a door would be a real useful skill to have. Real useful."

"I found places to stay for a while. But you go where there's opportunity. One place dries up, you move on when you can. I figure that's not too much different to every day life in any other world."
no subject
Charlise shrugged, "Yeah, I guess." And left it at that. You didn't need to add to Kitty's dislike of people as it was, better not to dwell on that too.

And that now she dind't have them or anyone for that matter.
no subject
Because the question seemed to dampen her spirits a little. And he wanted to know why. Because sometimes Joel was just nosy.

no subject
Heck. He got PAID to live here, eat here, and use the internet. For stuff that Kitty thought was boring but whatever.
"Can't say I blame you."

"The Hands..." he repeated. "What was your first impression when you met 'em?"
no subject
"Honestly? I didn't really care much for them. Just another weird ass Pokemon in my head. I had... more pressing matters on the day I arrived."
no subject
"Yeah? More important stuff? You arrive here without meanin' to?"
