A rather dull weekend over Webflix
Who: Charlise and anyone who happens upon the game room.
What: Lazy, rainy weekend.
Where: Game room
When: Weekend 7/11 - 7/12
Warnings: It's Kitty. That's warning enough.
Ever since returning to Smash, Kitty had felt sort of distant. Not in the way she had felt before, but more in the way of being confused and without purpose. She already knew she felt alone due to the lack of having some of the very few people she got close to. Even if she'd never tell them, she did feel lost without them, her team. A glimmer of silver was the fact that, while under her own problems and stress, Evve was still around. And she had heard that the ketchup meathead was still around too as well as her old roommate. But alas, they had their things, their friends and their lives to live. Kitty had... well, Kitty had fuckall.
She had made her way down to the front, and had packed a bag with treats in hopes that maybe an outting in the woods that she used to haunt would give her some answer and as soon as she opened the damned doors a fucking downpour decided to break lose. You know what they say about summer rains? Well fuck them.
She looked back and saw that the game room lobby was empty, probably because everyone was out and about having a blast during summer <s>unbeknownst to Kitty of the crazy shit happening around the school</s>. Making her way to the couch, she dropped down, set her bag besides her and loaded up Webflix on the widescreen. Maybe it was just a movie day...
Or days... cause Kitty just lost track of time while marathoning movies and series. You'll find her through two days worth of movies and random shows, nibbling on her snacks as she rearranges herself every so often. The genres vary but you'll generally find her watching depressing shit, horror movies, suspense, sci-fi, thrillers, psychological and that sort of thing.

The gasp did snap her out of her enjoyment as she turned to look back, ready to cus at whoever interrupted her movie watching. Except that she hadn't seen this person before, that and she was actually pretty cute... Why did this school taunt her so?
Kitty had opened her mouth to speak, closing it and looking around to make sure it really was her she was talking to. Realizing she was the only one here, Charlise turned to speak after a few seconds of silence. "Uh, sure... suit yourself. Plenty of space I guess."
She eyed her for a few seconds, looking her over and then averting her gaze a bit embarrassed, playing it off by looking back at the movie. "You don't seem like the type to like these... Pretty cool of you."
no subject
Her? Cool? Charlise must be surely mistaken.
She sat back and watched the movie with interest for a little while. Oh... The clown was making shadow puppets that ate people. Some teenagers just found a dead body in a big pile of cotton candy, there were multiple clowns, and the more they cut to close-ups on their faces the spookier they got to her. Sleeping tonight was going to be rough...
She waited for a lull in the action before she spoke, "So, uh, what's your name? I'm Hilda."
no subject
Charlise eyed her a bit subtly. Yeah, cute alright... damnit she had to play it cool. She kept on watching, every now and then grabbing some snacks and munching quietly, every now and then snickering when the over the top parts came along. These movies were a riot!
When addressed though, it kind of caught her off guard, "Oh uh... I'm Charlise... Most everyone calls me Kitty." Or bitch, or douchebag, or other explitives here and there but she'd keep that bit to herself.
"Nice to meet you. I guess." Why was it always harder to talk to chicks damnit. Maybe she should go back to her room.
"Want some snacks?" Guess not.
no subject
"Hey, yeah! Pleased to meetcha." Free snacks, though? Whoa, count her in! "What have you got, uh...? Is it cool if I call you Kitty, or you prefer Charlise?"
no subject
"Right, uh, let's see." Charlise rummaged through her bag of
totally stolengoods. "We have chocolate bars, bagged popcorn, peanut butter candies, taffy, cotton candy in a bag uh... there was nachos and hot dogs earlier but I ate those a while back already." She put that bag closer to Hilda before pulling up the other one. "We got pop of different flavors and shit. Pick your poison, only thing that ain't in there is diet crap cause really, what's the point? It tastes fuckin' awful anyways."Finally looking up at her, her gaze shifted a bit sheepishly till she fake coughed and turned back to the screen. Fuck it man, get over it!
"Either or, whatever floats your boat I'm used to them both."
no subject
never let her know..."Man... No cotton candy for me, thanks. I don't think I'm gonna be able to eat that stuff for a while after this movie. But still, I owe you one, Kitty," Hilda smiled gratefully as she reached over and took the bag, pulled out the popcorn, and then put the bag back where Charlise left it.
Killer balloon animals now, too? Oh, no... Hilda is really hoping that no circuses come to town anytime soon. She really hoped these creeps would pile into their clown car and putt away to jail, but either way this was like a gruesome train wreck and she couldn't look away.
She opened the bag of popcorn and munched at it for a little while, then extended the bag to Charlise. "Want any?"

The movie seemed to get more over the top each time, as if multiple writers kept trying to one-up each other with the next scene. Alas, much like many b-movies, the 'heroes' finally seemed to start working together. Not that it always ended in a happy ending. But there was still plenty film left for whatever was going to happen, happen.
When Hilda offered the bag, Charlise blinked a few times, thankful for once that the room was dark enough to hide her stupid as hell blush. "Uh, s. Sure. Thanks..." she grabbed a handful and turned back to the movie just in time to see a bloody mess on the screen. Did someone get blown up?
Oh. No. Just a barrel of strawberry syrup at the ice cream factory.
no subject
She seriously, for real screamed a little when the container of strawberry syrup blew up. A quiet conversation interrupted by a loud noise was seriously a cheap way to get a scare. "G-geez, sorry. That stuff always gets me."
Hilda tried to get settled in her chair, but she kept fidgeting and trying not to get too spooked at a big scary clown covered in red goop lumbering after some teenagers. "Sooo..." Hilda trailed off for a moment before she turned to address Charlise, "You've got a huge spread, here. Camping out with some scary movies, huh?"
no subject
Why was she offering help anyways?! Okay, starting to feel just a bit too comfortable here.
When addressed again, it brought Charlise back to the moment and she looked between Hilda and the movie for a few seconds before speaking. "I guess... yeah. I had been hoping to go out and find a quiet lonely spot in the woods to gorge on candy and junk food but... rain kind of put a fuckin' downer on that. So, here I am, enjoying another kind of camping I guess."
no subject
Wait, hold on... Something Charlise said just hit her. "Uh, what d'you mean by 'blow them away?'" Hilda was picturing the whole 'huff and puff and blow a house down' thing, but how in the world would that get rid of a monster, anyway?
no subject
"Blow them away, you know, that's kind of what I do. I'm a Drifblim. Well, that or carry people
or soulsaway." she shrugged.no subject
"Guess you've been here for a while, then, huh?" Hilda asked, trying really hard not to get too enthusiastic. Because if she gets any more excited she's liable to shoot up out of her chair and knock it over.
no subject
Of course she just tried to play it off! "Uh, I guess." she said with a shrug. The latter comment was much easier to answer to. "Yup. Been here, and technically not here for over two years now? Give or take." Let's not count the time she was dead...
no subject
"Heh, yeah, I think two years counts as a long time." Hilda tapped her heel against the floor as she looked back at the movie. "Hey, you know what you're gonna watch when this one's over yet?"
no subject
Kitty shrugged and looked over. "Dunno, you can have a go at it, if you want to stay here I mean." It's not like you have to stay you know. But if you reaaaaally want to.
no subject
Hang around for longer with a cool new friend? Where does she sign up? Because she's totally there.
no subject
"Let's see," she finally said trying to be nonchalant about it. "I've gone through most of the older slasher flicks and zombie flicks. Haven't touched the vampire ones yet cause the newer shit sucks. Ummm, I've left most creature features for last cause those are my favorites. Don't really care for gore for gore's sake. I've seen a few sci-fi/horror mashups those were pretty good. I mean, I'll be here a while, we can pcik whatever you fancy."
no subject
"But, uh, same -- I ain't really into the vampires." There was that one book about the hamster vampire that drank vegetable juice instead of blood, but that was about all the vampires Hilda could handle. "What're creature features? Like, werewolves and sea monsters and stuff?"
no subject
"Creature features are yeah, sea monsters, creations, abominations, random monsters, random uncategorized aliens, stuff like that. Oh and dna/pollution/discovery experiments gone wrong, those are always pretty fun."
She paused and laughed a little. "Of course I like ghost movies too." But for very different reasons.
no subject
"Oh! So that's what they're called..." You learn new things every day! Even if you're watching scary movies in the dark. Hilda leaned back in her chair for he first time in an hour to give some thought to her decision.
SHE BROUGHT A WHOLE SEAT BUT SHE ONLY NEEDED THE EEEEEEDGEOnce they picked one it was totally a 90-something-minute commitment, after all."You wanna watch a ghost movie, then? I don't think I seen too many of those."
no subject
Hilda likes living on the edge? Like Punisher? Kitty could dig that."Yeah, I mean, they don't really move from that theme unless they get popular enough to get their own rank like vamps, zombies, etc." Which was fine by her, she liked a more general term anyways.
Ghosts huh? The irony wasn't lost on Charlise so she shrugged. "Alright. You don't mind subtitles don't you? I prefer foreign ghost ones, the local ones are too predictable and tend to just drown the plot with jump scares." Yeah... she's seen her share of ghost movies.
no subject
"You think?" Hilda asked -- if 'jump scares' were the ones that popped up out of nowhere just to make you scream, then yes, she couldn't stand those. "I don't mind a little reading. But dang, girl, you know your stuff! Heh, I feel like I oughta take lessons from you." Kitty really knew her stuff!
no subject
Kitty averted her gaze as her face felt a bit hot and she fidgeted a little.
"Ah, no not really... I guess I just have a lot of time on my hands..." Quickly shuffling into her bag as to seem busy, she pulled out a couple of more snacks for them while remaining silent.
no subject
"So, hey, is this gonna be one of those haunted house movies? Or, like... I think I saw one about a cursed video tape but I can't remember if it was ghosts or not."
no subject
She liked getting back to the movie talk and shrugged. "Haunted houss are classic, though I know which one you're referring to. We can watch either or." She was fine with both.
