Warnings: It's a wedding and it's Smash Academy. So probably general craziness. Cartoon Mischief. ~~Anything raunchy is obviously going to be saved for the Honeymoon log I mean what~~

The day had finally arrived.

Much like any other trip to Angel Island, all you have to do is walk into the giant rotating gold ring and you are FWASH'd through space to arrive at your destination.

However, instead of arriving on the white sands of Angel Island's beaches, you're taken straight to the Hidden Palace.

Where an Aisle has been set up in the Chaos Chamber, utilizing the already grand architecture of the palace to full effect. It had also been cleaned of dust and cobwebs, and seating for guests had been arranged. The time of the wedding had been set so that the sunlight shining through the volcanic crater would illuminate the hall beautifully for the duration of the ceremony.

Caterers, the DJ and all the other people pertinent to the actual running of the wedding had been there for quite some time setting up. Now everything was ready and all that was needed was the Bride and Groom! And, of course, all the guests.

Rhys had kindly agreed to preside over the ceremony. The music started to play and Here Comes the Bride!

So there was the D.J. and apparently this guy was a big deal or something?

There was also plenty of food and drink!

And now, it was time for one of the most important wedding traditions. The Bouquet Toss. All the single ladies hit the dance floor before Goombella makes the toss!

OK, all you single men out there. Get your butts over here and listen up.

Whether you know it or not, you've been training for this all year. Catching footballs, catching baseballs, catching colds... all of these things will have provided you with valuable experience for catching this Garter. Get your heads in the game, Men. It's make or break time. I want to see a good, clean game out there. No eye gouging, shots below the belt or climbing over the fallen bodies of your fellow competitors.

She had wings, she had determination, she had a flaming tail.

This was totally in the bag.

Nope. Sonny was on Defense.

....nah just kidding.

"GO SASHA!"

UGH, BUT WHY WAS HE HERE. Really, the last thing Genny wanted to was to see one of Mario's do-good flunkies tie the knot, but damn his sense of organized duty, here he was anyhow, clad in his grey military regalia. A walkie talkie was clipped to his belt, just in case King Bowser wanted to get in contact with him. He assumed that Goombella and Knuckles would be doing everything in their power to keep the royal Koopa out, but there was no harm in wishful thinking.

Of course Cammy was here! She wouldn't miss this for the world!

And Green couldn't help but still feel a vague sense of disbelief. People he knew. Getting married. Really put a lot into perspective...

Someone large and hairy took a seat next to her.

"Oi. Some place, eh?"

He wasn't really fond of Knuckles, knowing that he owed many a football injury to the tiny red creature who probably weighed less than a hundred pounds, but tackled like a dump truck. Still. You couldn't help marvel at the architecture. And free food was free food.

"You look nice, then." He was actually wearing a white, button up shirt himself. So. Y'know. Effort.

Cammy's grin widened as the werewolf took a seat next to her, and allowed her gaze to sweep the hall at his mention. It really was quite spectacular.

"It's beautiful..." It had been a long time since she had been anywhere coming even close. She nodded, and turned her attention back to Jon.

"You too," she giggled, very proud of him for putting in the effort.

"Apparently the little red fellow owns the whole Island." he commented, staring up at the rim of the volcano crater. "Must be nice."

He turned to look at her again, hearing the giggle and knowing exactly what it meant. He smiled back. "Isn't every day I attend any social function, let alone a wedding. Thought I ought to drag my nice shirt out of the mothballs." he said. "Are you familiar with the couple?"

Pit needs to find BOTH OF THEM, as he is pals with... BOTH of them. He wants to wish them both the best. Hearing the news in the first place zapped him with emotion, so on the day of their connubial union, he was beside himself with excited energy, unable to keep still.

Sonny had been meaning to get to know his fellow Minion better for a while now. He really didn't know much of anything about him except that he outranked Sonny quite severely within the command structure of Bowser's army. So, he was extremely respectful - if still entirely too cheerful - as he delivered the General a salute.

"General, Sir! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sir! I have been informed that there will be cake at this function, Sir!"

Sonny was probably not going to catch the Garter but that didn't mean that he didn't intend to TRY.

Surprise, surprise, there was someone here who was waaaaaaaaay more interested in the refreshment tables than the dance floor. Even though he was a member of dance club.

"So much fruit!" he said happily to himself as he piled a plate with all kinds of dishes, both sweet and savory.

Knuckles was pretty easy to find - he was the guy shaking like a leaf trying to fasten his bow tie!

"Hey! Pit! Glad you made it, buddy!" he said, waving to the Angel. "You don't know how to tie up one of these, do ya?"

Hey, maybe in Angel Land everyone wore bow ties with their togas?

Nope, but he's so got this.

"I sure do!" he cried, and hustled over with the spring of a downhill slinkee for the opportunity to help him out on his big important day. He stood behind him and grabbed both sides of the neckstrap to join them together, fiddling with it until it was the right adjustment.

"There! Now the groom looks properly groomed. Wow, this is such a big day! Are you nervous?"

Goombella was busy trying to get her dress zipped up. It was not all that easy. When Pit arrived, she was relieved. "Pit! Thank goodness. Can you give me a hand with this? It's just not going up!"

Of course Jolt was there. It was a party, wasn't it?

"Boss? You okay?"

COMPETITION!

Man did Jolt love him some food. "This stuff looks delicious!" he declared, loading up a plate right along with Sonny.

Defeat is unacceptable. Even if it IS like a wedding thing.
