[Open] No, I'm serious, this really isn't Paris you guys.
Who: Elizabeth and Yooouuuu.
What: Falling out of the sky. Getting culture shocked. That sort of thing.
When: Sure why not the 21st. Can easily extend into the next few days, too :>
Where: School all over.
Warnings: N….o…
Earlier in the day, if you were paying attention you might have seen something drop out of the low cruising clouds. Did you? Maybe. Probably not. Was that a scream in the distance? No? Yeah, no.
(Except the answers were actually yes. Oops.)
Later though, one might notice a young lady that was not previously on campus before. If she was lost she was certainly not showing any signs of being bothered by it, running around and marvelling at…
… Everything. She was marvelling at everything. Even that leaf. Even that tree branch. Look at that lake. Look at that building. Look at that sky.
Look at you. Definitely you.
"Hello!"

"O-oh," she said meanwhile, just the slightest bit flustered that she'd called him something he wasn't used to. That was the second time she'd been told to leave off the honorific. Were they just not used that much? "S'moe..." she tried out quietly as they walked, but that just seemed a bit too... familiar, she supposed. Sonny would be good. She liked the sound of Sonny.
That was about when he lost her however, though Elizabeth tried very hard to keep up in the conversation. Team? Trainer? Her mind went to something like tennis, but she wasn't sure if Snorlaxes would play tennis. "Talk to the right... hand..." Elizabeth repeated, unable to keep the dubious sound out of her voice. Maybe that was another term for a headmaster in this place?
"Would the ah... "hand" mind if I weren't actually a Snorlax...?"
WAS EVERYONE A SNORLAX?

"The Hands won't mind! You can be any kind of person and come to this school. Human Beings, all different kinds of Pokemon like me, Hedgehogs, Robots, Goombas and Cats and all sorts of people."
Said as if he was listing off fruits in a fruit bowl and this was all very, very normal. He did, however, give her a broad, toothy, reassuring smile because she sounded as if she could use a little confidence booster.
They had finally reached the main grouping of buildings, and Sonny lifted a hand to his chin in thought. Now - where to take her first? Was she the sort to enjoy strolls through the labs? Maybe the Library? The Gym and Stadium were a little further away but maybe she liked to train her body and fight? Perhaps she was a whiz with a needle and thread and the Home Ec room would be a cave of untold delights? What about the computer labs - some students loved the computer labs. Maybe she could love the computer labs.
His stomach thought on it too and made an extremely eloquent suggestion; ghhhrglebughh
"....would you like to see the Cafeteria?"

Had she partially wished for a place where all sorts of folks could get along? Maybe.
Sorry about those city riots, Elizabeth. She had gotten caught up in studying the architecture of the buildings, marveling at how similar and yet how distinctly different they were from anything she had learned. The grumbling caught her attention however, and Elizabeth blinked back at Sonny.
.... Hee hee.
"Of course."

There was a little more spring to his step as he changed direction toward the school's mess hall. He could already smell the food left over from breakfast and the things being prepared for lunch. He was pretty excited.
"So, what kind of a place do you come from, Elizabeth?" he asked. "I saw you looking at the buildings - are they really different where you're from?"
no subject
The question threw her off slightly, though she wasn't sure why. It made sense that the new person would have to explain who they were. Elizabeth glanced at the buildings again, trying to figure out how to say it. "No, they're similar but... The architecture is a bit different. I think they might have had different influences." Somewhat more modern ones, someone else might have told her.
She looked over at Sonny. "Have you ever heard of a city called Columbia?"
no subject
"Columbia...? Hmmm. No. I never have. Is that where you're from? I come from Kanto, myself! But my favorite city is in Johto and it's called Goldenrod. Probably there's someone here who knows about Columbia - We can ask around if you want!"
He could see things being set up for lunch. There were already some trays of food out. It was sloppy joe day! Yea-huh!
"You picked a great day to arrive!" he said, pointing to the trays of buns and pans of filling.
