Phoenix got beaten by a girl
Who: Phoenix Wright, GLaDOS, and Vivian for the first part, OPEN for the second part
What: Phoenix gets beaten up :[ - then he's in the nurse's office or something for the next day
When: December Fourteenth through the fifteenth
Where: The stadium (with the safetys off), then the nurse's office! You can visit him there.
Warnings: Violence :[
Phoenix had an overwhelming sense of justice. He cared greatly for innocent people, and if their safety was compromised, then he had to take action. He couldn't just sit when a criminal was running around out and about endangering the lives of others.
Perhaps Vivian wasn't truly at fault here; she was just a child, or as GLaDOS said, just an AI who had only been alive for a few weeks at the most. But it was GLaDOS he despised; she was a sociopath, entrapping the school for her own personal pleasure. And then she unleashed this humanoid weapon on the school who would shoot people simply for not having a hall pass! Of course, Phoenix had to tell her what she was doing wrong, but then GLaDOS responded with threats of violence.
And since that time, Phoenix had been extremely cautious, watching his back at every turn for that human turret or for the computer instructor. He had unfortunately gotten stuck under the mistletoe with her once and promptly fled once they were forced to kiss. Maybe he was a bit of a coward, but he had to figure this situation out before being beaten to a pulp.
Walking through the hallways with caution, he tried to keep awareness of his surroundings, looking out for anyone with white or light-blue hair. Please don't kill Phoenix.

"Oh? She didn't threaten you with violence then?" He frowned a little bit, then sighed. Phoenix was one of the only instructors at this "fighting school" who didn't actually know how to fight. Mr. Freeman could probably take her on easily.
"Well, I'm not exactly the strongest guy anyway. But I guess it was worth it to let her know that what she's doing is wrong."

"Well yeah, I kind of figured that... I just mean that at least I tried. I couldn't just sit by and do nothing." His expression faded back to a more serious one with the tired bags under his eyes only accentuating his growing exasperation at this situation.
"The thing is... Ah, forgive me for complaining but... I've threatened her with legal action and she just seems impervious to it due to her being a computer or something. It's frustrating."

"I suppose you could plea a case in which she's not technically a person and therefore not possessing of any rights... but I don't see anything good coming out of that."

"To be honest, I'm not sure how the law in FDC even works. It seems so... backwards. The fact that they let an alleged murderer wander around the school with hardly any repercussions and no protection for the residents..."
The law truly was backwards here, and whatever he threatened GLaDOS with probably wouldn't work. Eggman never faced any consequences for what he had done to people, nor did GLaDOS. Phoenix would either have to find a way around this or just keep his mouth shut.

"Mr. Wright, the law is only as good as the people creating and enforcing it. And if they're anything like the Hands, I think we're on our own."
no subject
"The law was created to protect people, Mr. Freeman. And that's one of the reasons I've stayed here so long. I can't in my right mind let the people here go unprotected. But... there's little I can do."
And it hurt. This realization hurt so much that people were being hurt and murdered and Phoenix could do absolutely nothing about it. The best he could do would be to join the security force, but he wasn't a policeman. He was an ex-lawyer, disbarred because someone had it in for him.
"Ah... I'm sorry, Mr. Freeman. We just met and I'm already complaining to you." He gave a sad smile.

"Just keep in mind that not everyone else keeps to the same laws that you do. Either they never developed the higher functions to see the value in protecting others, or they just don't care. They will try to get away with whatever they think they can, which is usually a lot if the law fails. In that case, they need immediate consequences for their actions. Usually it's up to you to provide those consequences."
no subject
"You're right. Ms. Glados and others need to face consequences for their actions."
However, Phoenix certainly couldn't execute either of them. He could never kill ever, unless he absolutely had to for self-defense. And even then, he had no idea what he could do in such a situation. "But how? I'm a lawyer-- er... former lawyer. I'm not the one who does sentencing."
