[The first group has been given directions to one of FDC's nicest sushi restaurants. The dining room is dimly lit, but comfortable. There's quiet music playing overhead. The menu is expensive- and mostly consists of sushi, but there are certainly other options- but don't worry about the price; someone else is covering all of this, right?

It might have been smart to dress nice- but not too nice- for your date. At least that's what Gold suggested!

There's a candle at every table. Beside each candle, there is a card. On each card, there is a different letter-number combination.

So once upon a time there was a Gerudo...

Nabooru actually didn't mind the blind dates. Even if she'd wound up with someone she hated - like Dr. Robotnik - at least she had the satisfaction of pissing whoever it was off. There was no denying the way she still got a kick out of pressing buttons that she was warned specifically not to. With or without her king present, she imagined she still would have done it - provided he hadn't immediately put down the order that she was to refrain.

Whatever the case, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, Nabooru was emotionally unified with the blind date and her rather unlucky victim. In a manner most casual, she reclined in her seat, looking no more or less than the usual.

When Evve found herself wandering into the restaurant, the extravagance of the set up was far from what she was expecting. Rich smells of aquatic life clogged up her senses and left her thick waves of hair standing on end. She had been so consumed by the end result of a certain investigation that there remained remnants of the putrid fog of the dumpster she had stuck her head into looking for clues. For a time, it was all she could remember. Whether it be a sensory phantom summoned from disgust or perhaps guilt, the gentle aroma in this atmosphere seemed to wash her mind clear of what she knew.

Now she was here with a mysterious note and seeking someone to answer for it, travelling slowly with one arm hugging her torso and the other bouncing between a small slip reading A1 and the marked tables in the surrounding area. She'd started from the wrong end, so it took her a moment to find where she was headed.

And was met with the back of a woman's head, one she'd never seen before.

She placed the note into her pocket before approaching, making it rather clear when she arrived that she was meant to be there. Her fingertips hit the table, turning to get a good look at her company.

"... You've a very ornate style, huh?" Evve was under the assumption, after all, that this meeting was about her search for a killer. She didn't actually sign up for any blind date, so her only thoughts were: Who would come looking so flashy to such an exchange?

Sushi. Certainly a favorite of Seth's, who was promptly on time and sat at his table, dressed formally in a nice black and red suit. Presentation was important, after all.

He of coursed hoped (and expected) his date felt the same as he breezed over the menu.

Falcon had been forced into this too many times before to even bat an eyelid. As far as he was concerned, he'd show up, be completely unsurprised by whoever he was stuck with, have a free meal, and jet as soon as the night became uninteresting. He walked in (jeans, sneakers, t-shirt, sunglasses, leather jacket and all), checked the table cards, and promptly took a seat, slouching in the chair.

"Right. Let's get this over with."

[Blind dates. Chell really had zero desire to partake in such a thing, but she supposed it couldn't be that horrible. There was a free meal involved, and it was just a dinner out, right?

Either way, the Hands had somehow forced her, so there she sat at her table, waiting for whomever was going to show up.

If you guessed Edgeworth, you are CORRECT. It would've been rude as heck not to at least show up and say as much, though, so he looked for his assigned table and took a seat.]

[Instead of his default Spetsnaz uniform, Ocelot is dressed in his alternate outfit... a dark professional suit that he usually wears when traveling outside of Russia, though still equipped with the odd spurs on his heels and slim red gloves, and his revolvers at his hips.]

[And he waits. Having been unable to rig the results, he's not sure what to expect, but he's sticking around to find out. Will curiosity kill the cat?]

This was... all right, actually, this was pretty on par with how fancy the other blind dates had gone in the past. It was a lot more atmospheric though, with all the moody lighting that was going on. Bulba felt a little under dressed in his somewhat nicer sweater and plain pants, but there was nothing to do about it now. He found his table and sat, almost relieved to see he was the first one there.

Who was going to sit with him? He glanced up whenever he noticed anyone coming through the door. It was kind of distracting.

Which was good, because the entire reason he dropped his name into this was for a distraction.

But he wasn't going to let his 'blind date' down. After all, he could make a friend out of this, and then it would have been worth coming here. If not... he could leave, right? He wouldn't just up and leave someone without a good reason, though. So he took a seat and waited for who would show up.]

N is incredibly giddy, as he actually signed up voluntarily. a date can happen without it being romantic, right? a friendship date! that sounds like fun. therefore, he remains at his table, unable to wait for his companion before he looks at the menu.

hmm, that spaghetti and meatballs on the kiddy menu looks tasty... ]

[And here's GLaDOS, sitting at this stupid booth wearing a rather tasteful black dress. She looks exceptionally angry tonight, almost as if she might murder the first person who so much as looks at her.]

I can't believe I actually had to go through with this...

[For once in her life GLaDOS is sitting down in an improper manner. Her body is slumped over the table, right fist holding up her head, while the fingers of her left hand drum idly against the table. Occasionally, her golden eyes would zero-in on the door, waiting to see if her date was there. Ugg, she wanted this over with SO BADLY.]

Here you would find the grumpiest date ever. He never even bothered to imagine that he may be signed up for these dates against his will, but now he found himself here. He wasn't even going to show up, but he turned a corner only to find himself right he was supposed to be. He was ushered over by some enthusiastic attendants.

He was entirely devoted to not having fun.

Like a little shadow at the end of the restaurant, Blake waited. He dressed no differently than normal, but considering he consistently wore neat blazers and cardigans, the little Mightyena didn't stand out - especially in his dark colours.

Having arrived quite early, he occupied himself by scanning the other tables, watching people arrive and listening in where he could. As harmless as this activity was supposed to be, the idea of a 'blind' date (which he quickly learned had nothing to do with impeded vision) still made him quite nervous. But, in his usual manner, the anxiousness was masked by a small smile that accompanied his idle eavesdropping.
