Unlike most teachers here, Gordon had handled a physics classroom before--Grad students go to extremes for money. He figured a multiple-tier structure would work, two difficulty levels covering the same subject.

In this case, their first set of homework could either be a tame block of algebraic expressions or a sultry set of differentials depending the student's level. Either way, the the lecture and lab would essentially be the same.

Link sat at the front of the class, underneath one of the desks. He didn't understand any of the material, of course. So he figured he could try to learn both. It couldn't be that hard, right?

The kid didn't stand up, though. He hadn't actually signed up for the class or either tier so there was no reason for him to. He would just sit there. Learning. or sleeping

Gordon doesn't seem to notice the green-clad boy under the desk, as they are obscured also by demonstration tables and other bits of lab furniture... He must be completely oblivious to his presence! It looks like Link can sleep observe all he wants!
