There had been so much buzz about those stupid lollipops for weeks now. Not only out loud, but in her head - thoughts ranging from what's the deal with those things? to gotta have more to pricy as fuck. Eventually, she confused the cravings of others for her own, and it just so happened that her very own roommate had a box right on her side of the room!

Casey wasn't supposed to touch it, but she didn't see why. Money issues, or something. She didn't get the big deal about money either. She wasn't a Meowth, so there was no reason for her to have any. Therefore, the rules about it didn't apply to her.

That was her logic, anyway.

When Ai was asleep, she opened up the box and put her telekinesis to good use. Five of the candies lifted into the air - two green, three yellow - and the wrappers tore off in perfect synchronization. Too bad nobody was watching. The Abra opened her mouth wide and crammed all of them in at once, because she had no concept of savouring anything.

Shortly after, she fell asleep, the sticks still poking out of her mouth. That had to be bad for her teeth.

Soon the dreaming began...

Jolt shrugged. "I guess just ask some questions... Like why we are the way we are? Do other Eeveelutions live together or separate? How do they decide what to evolve into in the wild? CAN they evolve in the wild?" He started rambling off questions, all the thoughts that popped into his head that he wished he had answers for.

Bulba nodded along. Valid questions, all of them. It was a bit odd to think about. How did a pokemon with so many options handle all of them? And not all of them were choices they could just make with rocks. Hrm.

"Miss Erika's Victreebel mentioned what they do, once," Bulba mentioned as he mused on it. "They do a big thing where they go collect leaf stones for the Weepinbell that are ready for it. Maybe it's lkke that for a few of them." The saur shrugged. "Definitely a good thing to ask."

"It's stuff I've always wondered about," Jolt said. "How they choose normally... I mean, I let Green choose for me. I trusted him to know best. But what if I had been anything else? Like a Flareon or Vaporeon, or any other form? Would I be any different?"

He shook his head. There were clearly lots of thoughts that kept his mind occupied. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to unload all my problems on you like that," he apologized.

"Pretty sure I'd still find you tuckering yourself out and I'd have to keep nagging your butt even if it wasn't so spiky," Bulba said somewhat lightly. He thought he could somewhat understand the predicament though. If his own line had been graced with even just one different option, how would he handle it? How different could it really be?

"Don't worry about it, I don't mind at all. I'm always around to listen if you need it, OK?"

Jolt's yellow cheek was met with another pass of Bulba's big yellow tongue. "Besides, I like you just the way you are."

Jolt grinned. "I like to think I turned out pretty awesome," he remarked.

"And the same goes for you too, okay?" he said. "I can't pretend to know all about what's going on for you, but if you need to chew someone's ear, let's face it, you could do worse than me."

"Probably," Bulba replied with a small laugh, and he smiled a bit. "Thanks."

And with that, Jolt cuddled up to Bulba.
