I'll have a cup of tea and tell you of my dreaming
Who: Everyone
What: DREAMS
When: A whole 24 hours spanning from September 14th-15th
Warnings: Creepy nightmares? Innuendo? I don't know, the usual.
There had been so much buzz about those stupid lollipops for weeks now. Not only out loud, but in her head - thoughts ranging from what's the deal with those things? to gotta have more to pricy as fuck. Eventually, she confused the cravings of others for her own, and it just so happened that her very own roommate had a box right on her side of the room!
Casey wasn't supposed to touch it, but she didn't see why. Money issues, or something. She didn't get the big deal about money either. She wasn't a Meowth, so there was no reason for her to have any. Therefore, the rules about it didn't apply to her.
That was her logic, anyway.
When Ai was asleep, she opened up the box and put her telekinesis to good use. Five of the candies lifted into the air - two green, three yellow - and the wrappers tore off in perfect synchronization. Too bad nobody was watching. The Abra opened her mouth wide and crammed all of them in at once, because she had no concept of savouring anything.
Shortly after, she fell asleep, the sticks still poking out of her mouth. That had to be bad for her teeth.
Soon the dreaming began...

"All my possessions for a moment of time."
He offers a flat laugh. "Unless you've killed a lot of people, I doubt you'd be that popular. But you still don't want to go there."
Without a doubt, vengeful ghosts are the worst kind. And obsessively attracted to their killers. It certainly puts a bad taste onto Ocelot's own occupational murders once in awhile.
"Thank you."
"It's very beautiful over there."
"I have tried so hard to do right."
The voices clamor, interrupting and overlapping one another, as if they are each only aware of Ocelot and no one else, as he pretends he is unaware of all of them. His focus lies stiffly on Shadow, persistent on this thread of conversation with a warm body, closer to sanity than any other option. Nevermind that he's... sort of an animal.
"So who are you supposed to be?" he wonders, studying the red-and-black quills.
"Give them a chance to be happy!"
no subject
To that voice, Shadow's heart leaped into his throat, his body jolting and his eyes doubling in size. He reacted on instinct, his mind going into a brief haze of her, her name, her blond hair, her blue dress. It all clouds up his judgment, and in that moment, he screamed.
"Maria!!"
...
He then froze, eyes on Ocelot for only a moment before he began to frantically scan the area.
Well, that was just a little awkward.
no subject
Ocelot raised a brow at the hedgehog's outburst, both annoyed and perplexed, and raised a hand to fiddle with the edge of his beret.
Meanwhile, the ghosts continued to bunch around him like smoke and chatter or cry. Men, women, maybe an animal or two, each one only semi-visible and void of color. Oh, is that a young girl behind him? Hmm.
"Your name is Maria?" he asked Shadow bluntly.
no subject
Shadow's gasp forced its way through, even beyond his control, as he made a mad dash to what he thought was a little girl standing behind the man. He stretched his arms out, palms out, in an attempt to shove Ocelot away. He didn't care for him. He just had to get to her.
"Maria! Maria...!"
Was it her? Could it really be her?!
no subject
"Watch yourself," he growled. With the quick movement of his arm to his gun, the image of the smokey girl had been struck and dissolved, though it was quickly re-shaping.
no subject
"I need to see her," he snarled, eyes on the reforming shape of a girl, a girl that he swore looked familiar to him. Those words- That had to be Maria! It had to be! "Get out of my way, human, or pay the price."
He was not above Chaos Spearing through this person in order to get to the girl he cherished most.
no subject
"Don't. I told you not to pay attention to them," he warned, his voice a low hiss almost as dry as those of the ghosts.
"My head! My head!"
"I hope never to return."
"I beg of you..."
They continued to chatter on as before, but seemed to be moving a little more excitedly all of the sudden, as if energized by Ocelot's mood. Ocelot's frown was intense, determined to keep up this facade of ignorance. Perhaps there were advantages to the skill of a medium, but he drew a line nevertheless, and Ocelot rarely drew lines before any dirty work. He sensed that a permanent burden awaited him if he gave in to the madness of opening up his mind to the dead any more than it subconsciously was already.
His arm straightened with seriousness, thumb pulling the gun hammer back with audible clicks.
"Don't encourage them," he added scathingly.
no subject
In that moment, he rolled to the side, just in case he wanted to pull the trigger on him. While he did so, he gave the familiar shout of, "Chaos Control!"
For Shadow, he was just running for her, the apparition of what vaguely looked like a little blond girl.
For Ocelot, time was still normal, so it looked more like he'd just disappeared instead of running off.
"Maria! Maria!"

The bullet hit a star, shattering it into shimmering pieces. It bounced off, hitting a charred tree branch. From there it ricochet back, passing through the unwary form of a ghastly dead man whose torn skin hung from half of his face from some nameless old brutality. It struck the ground, deflected up against another tree, pinged off of a second star, and zigged back dangerously towards Shadow.
"Shadow... the Hedgehog..."
And there she was, pale as ash, her chest deeply stained with tar-black blood.
no subject
Dammit, he just wanted a piece of his old family back, and he was going to get it!
"Maria!" He shouted for her, the blood along her beautiful blue dress making him nauseated. He stretched out a hand, his mind reeling with both pangs of guilt and worry, all while he hoped for a nugget of joy just from reuniting with her.
He wasn't about to get that much.
That bullet tore through him, and while the pain was minor, as if the dream had dulled his nerves, he was falling. He couldn't control himself as he did, his vision becoming cloudy, Maria fading out of view...
This just wasn't fair!!
"M-Ma...ria..."
Once he hit the ground, smacking his face into soil and rubble and stars, he woke, eyes flinging open with a startled gasp.
No. No. No, no, no, he had to go back to sleep. He had to go back to her. To Maria!
no subject
"What--"
With no more ground to stand on, he felt himself falling, as persistent ghosts absently followed him like moths to a light. He was careening towards a distant door; a foreign new connection to the neutral hub from this crashed server.
"Son of a bitch!"
