[HOT SPRINGS TRIP] - SUNDAY HOTEL

Characters: Many
What: Hotel Antics
Where: Fountain of Youth Hot Springs , hotel lobby and then some
When: Sunday, July 13th
Rating: Varies. PG-13 on average

Much like Saturday night, this log is where you'll be posting your hotel room threads, and exploring around the hotel. This includes the main lobby, the dining lounge [which has a bar], the hallways and the courtyard. All your hotel rooms and the main lobby have little laptops with computer access, if your characters want to update their journals for whatever reason. :3

Don't forget your handy dandy MAP!

FOREWARNING: I'M GOING TO HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO COMPLETE SATURDAY NIGHT, THAT YOU IGNORE THIS LOG'S EXISTENCE AND COMPLETE IT BEFORE JUMPING IN HERE. THIS LOG IS GOING TO GET BACKDATED NO MATTER WHAT, IT WILL NOT BE COMPLETED TONIGHT. IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND WE CAN WAIT FOR YOU. <3

OR IF YOU'RE COOL WITH DROPPING WHATEVER ACTIVIES YOU WERE DOING, ASSUMING THINGS WERE ALL WELL AND MOVING ON, THAT'S ALRIGHT. Just, mightmaybe be a good idea to talk with whomever your character might of been interacting with if it's possible, in case they wanted to do something special with you.

OR, IF YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE DOUBLE-DAY POSTING, THAT'S FINE TOO. JUST TRY NOT TO GET CONFUSED, BECAUSE I SURE AS HELL WOULD.

Same rules in this log as before--post new comments with appropriate labels for your hotel rooms, main lobby, ect... and reply to them accordingly.

If it's not too much trouble, linking to threads when you thread hop [or tegaki log] helps lessen the confusion! X)

We'll be checking out of the hotel Monday morning, so have your characters stay up late again when they're done playing in the springs, if you like! Have fun!

When the bartender placed their drinks in front of them, Surge glanced over to Goose. He caught that last statement, and chuckled awkwardly. "Right, gotcha..."

Alright, so maybe he overdid it before, but this was vacation, and vacation was supposed to be fun, right? It wasn't his fault his definition of fun meant the expense of others. ... Okay, so maybe it did, but Surge had at least learned his lesson when Goose had pretty much yelled in his face. That just meant he'd have to be more aware when hanging around Goose, that was all. If Surge didn't know any better, he would swear that Goose's sensitivity was contagious or something.

"So, what exactly is with your glasses? Your eyes looked fine to me. In fact, they're kind of nice..." Surge added, trying to boost Goose's confidence.

Goose sighed delightfully and brought his drink up to his lips, taking a short sip as Surge let out his short reply towards his statement. Damn, was Goose all too tempted to guzzle all this down quickly and get himself completely smashed again or what?

... then his fellow military guy brought up his eyes, immediately causing him to suck in his breath sharply in nervousness. Dammit, he hated the subject of his eyes... yet, the compliment did aid him in feeling less uncomfortable about it. "W-Well... I never thought they were. I 'unno why. They just look... pretty damn bad to me," uttered Goose negatively, glancing up at him and pushing said shades further up onto his face with his finger. "That's why I have these. I need 'em to hide them... all the time."

"Nah, they're fine," Surge frowned at this sudden negativity. Without a second thought, he snatched the glasses off Goose's face. Inspecting them, he half expected to figure out their hidden power or secret. But seeing them as just regular glasses, he shrugged and placed them on his face. "One of my students suggested I wear sunglasses like Falcon or something... Does it look as stupid as I think it does, or what?" he gave a goofy grin.

Pushing the glasses on top of his head, Surge snickered. "C'mon, you don't look that bad, honest. If I can handle staring at your mug without them, I'm sure other people can too."

"H-Hey! What the--?!" He stammered furiously as Surge nabbed his glasses from him. Despite how he seemed to be positive about his eyes, he HATED having them visible in public! His anger dulled down a bit after he put them back on for him though.

"..." Shrugging it off, he attempted to smile once more. "Well... uh. You'd look pretty cool in glasses, I guess. Glasses are fucking great anyway, I don't wear 'em JUST to hide my eyes..."

Then he was cut off by Surge lifting the glasses from his eyes, causing him to tense up a bit, yet not as much as before. "... thanks, I guess," sighed the rather self-conscious pilot, feeling a soft blush unwillingly rise to his face again. Dammit. He didn't even know WHY he did so... he didn't feel AS embarrassed by his eyes this time...

Surge's hand lingered a bit near Goose's head before he quickly realized and placed it down on the bar. Damn, why was he acting so weird lately? He shrugged it off and took another sip. Sure he liked poking fun at others, especially at friends, but something about Goose just made Surge want to bother him all the more. Maybe it was the pilot's sensitive attitude towards the jokes or something. But Surge shook his head, forcing himself not to think about it.

"You really think I'd look cool in glasses? I don't know... I think I'll let you and Falcon keep to that, ain't really my style."

Noticing the slight flush, Surge narrowed his eyes in concern. "Hey, you ok?" Surely the effects of the hot springs would have worn off by now, so maybe it was just the alcohol kicking in. Only problem with that was that they were still on the first round.

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Goose rose an eyebrow, almost thinking he saw Surge move his hand in an odd fashion... but nah, it... it couldn't have. He was probably just seeing things, for when his glasses were out of his face in contrast to them being on him all the time, that kind of thing was pretty common. With that, he dropped it, assuming it to probably have been nothing.

He shook his head in reply, his usual lopsided grin plastered onto his face. He really DID think glasses would suit him, but eh, everyone had their preferences. "Heh, yeah, sure. Gotcha'."

Goose frowned at him, his right eye twitching slightly in annoyance; not at Surge, but the blush on his cheeks that he wished didn't show up. "Uh... y-yeah..." Playing dumb would be a good idea, possibly... or not, but what other choice did he have? "Why're you askin'?"

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I see..." Surge scratched the back of his head. "It's just... you looked kind of... uh... out of it. Er, not really out of it, but you're... um... kind of... red." If Surge thought their previous conversations were awkward, he certainly changed his mind now.

Trying not to piss off Goose, he quickly added, "I figured it was due to the hot springs or maybe the booze or something." Carefully studying the other man, Surge hoped he hadn't triggered that sensitive side yet again.

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Th-the booze? How the hell would it? I only took one sip!" Despite raising his voice for that statement, Goose surely wasn't angry right now. Rather, just as uncomfortable as Surge was right now.

"..." He lowered his head a bit, really not knowing WHAT to say or do. Did he really have any other choice but to be honest? "... uh. Really, man, I have... no damn clue what's causin' it. It can't be the booze OR the damn springs."

Shit. I'm gonna regret saying that. Big time.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Raising an eyebrow, Surge was a bit confused by Goose's response. If it wasn't the springs or the alcohol, then what was it? Reaching a hand out, he hesitated momentarily before taking Goose's chin between his fingers. He watched the other man's face for any indication of what might be wrong.

"You sure you feeling alright?" Surge's voice was softer than before. Odd, he hadn't meant to chance his tone.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"...!" Surge's sudden motion caused the blushing male's breath to hitch, said redness only deepening thanks to that. Shit, what was going on. What would he DO? This situation was awkward enough already! They had already gotten too close in numerous ways... for god's sakes, he only knew the guy for a day...

Yet... something was making him force those thoughts away, and... replacing them with... with...

"... m-... maybe... maybe I am." He muttered, leaning in carefully, gradually... getting a bit too close until his face couldn't get closer.

Goose, you fucking faggot.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"!" Surge's eyes widened as Goose kept leaning in. Oh god, what the hell was going on? Goose... Goose was... kissing him? Sudden realization hit Surge like a ton of bricks. He was being kissed by another man. WHAT. THE. FUCK?

He was about to remove his hand from Goose's chin to push him away, when he noticed something. The kiss... wasn't really all that bad. Ok sure, so maybe kissing a guy was kind of weird and completely gay but... Goose was an ok guy. And although Surge had never thought about being gay himself, he certainly knew a few men in the military for whom those rumors were most certainly true.

With one final decision, Surge took initiative and started kissing back. Even with another man, like hell he wasn't going to be dominant one.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
If Goose possibly could, he would've gasped at the other man he was lip-locked with not pushing him away. Rather, he was... doing the exact opposite. And that certainly wasn't expected. God no.

Trembling slightly, having never kissed anyone before, let alone another man, he lifted his arms up and slipped them around his friend's neck and back, pulling him a bit closer. If there was anything else he was surprised about from this, it was that he believed he wouldn't have been wanting to do something like this unless he was drunk and out of it... yet... here he was.

And he admitted to himself that... he actually liked it.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Out of instinct, Surge's other hand gripped Goose's waist. A little voice in the back of his mind was telling him that perhaps they shouldn't, that there were people who could see them, that if other people at school walked by--The lieutenant threw all reason out the window when he felt those arms wrap around him. Besides, those surprisingly soft lips were awfully tempting.

Logic be damned, but something that felt this good couldn't be all that bad. Feeling a little daring, he nipped at Goose's lips playfully. He wasn't sure how far they would get until one of them sanely reminded the other of their location, but knowing both of them, that person would probably end up being Goose. Until then, however, Surge was content saying 'screw it' to anyone and anything else and simply continued kissing the other man.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Goose couldn't suppress the gentle, yet nearly silent moan he emitted, caused by said nipping at his lips. Of course, he felt a response to that apart from a sound of enjoyment was necessary, and with that, he let his tongue flick out to give Surge's lower lip a little lick or two.

He never imagined how actually... nice this kind of thing ended up to be. Never would he have ever wanted to wind up kissing another man like this, let alone make this kind of move in a bar, yet something inside of him, something going on in his mind made him want--

Wait.

... they were doing this in a BAR.

"Mmph..." With that in mind, he quickly broke the kiss up, although he was not yet unwrapping his arms from his friend's back. Good god, his face was red enough already. There were people in that bar that could very well be staring at them, maybe even some people he was more familiar with. What if Falcon or Samus or SOMEONE Goose was willing to drink with arrived and just didn't approach them yet due to their little ... rather passionate moment?

There were so many things that could make this feel so wrong. So many. And the way he acted toward the possibility?

... he forced it into the back of his head, almost not caring much about it... and simply let out an unusually soft smile. "... heh. You're actually pretty good at that."

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Surge smirked at Goose's smile, thinking it was kind of... cute. Okay, so he'd admit it, the other man was pretty damn adorable. Somehow the fact that he could go from badass by talking about being a pilot to a cute blush was fascinating to Surge. Plus, he was a fairly good kisser of his own.

"Course I am," he lowered his voice. "Did you really expect any different?" Although they had stopped kissing, he still felt Goose's arms around him. It was... nice.

Flashing Goose a devious grin, he replied, "I would suggest taking this someplace else, but I doubt either of our roommates would appreciate that. I guess that'll have to wait till we get back." If Surge had been thinking with the sane part of his brain, it would have reminded him that perhaps he was being too daring. But, as usual, he ignored that bit of logic.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
He immediately threw him one of his sassy little grins. "Psssssh, nah, I had the feeling you would be. I 'unno why, I just... did," His voice, too, grew softer, but only towards the end of his reply, his cheeks not losing their reddish shade yet.

That smirk of Goose's only widened as he let out a bit of a playful cackle. "Ha! Now what're YOU implyin'?" He responded teasingly, removing only one of his hands from his back and poking Surge's chest.

"Well, as... uh, well, gay as this is gonna' sound, I guess... that'd be pretty damn sweet. Hell, it actually sounds... great," added the pilot, pulling his glasses down to his eyes again, but lowering them a bit further so that only the one he was embracing could see his eyes. Those blue eyes twinkling with as much deviousness as Surge's grin showed. "I guess I'll be anticipatin' that, then."

Surge's smirk widened at Goose's playful response. Removing his hand from Goose's chin, he caught the offending hand in mid-poke. He pulled the hand away from his chest, but did not release it. "It implies whatever the hell you want it to," his eyes glinted mischievously.

"Well then, you'll just have to leave your gloomy room and come visit my apartment. It'll be a good excuse for you to get out a bit." Surge almost added that there would probably be alcohol involved, but he figured Goose was smart enough to assume as much.

The lieutenant wasn't really sure why he was suggesting all these things. They had just met the other day, for crying out loud, and he was already inviting Goose over and IMPLYING things. Later, the repercussions of his decisions would probably hit him hard, but until then, what the two men had going was kind of nice. A bit surprising from both sides, but he supposed that something between them just clicked. Just add it to my growing list of why I'm glad to be back at SBG, Surge roguishly thought.

"You betcha'!" Goose beamed, grasping the hand that now held onto his. "I need to get the hell outta' there, anyway, and do a lot more than just sit around on my ass all day."

Despite how sudden this all was, it seemed to have the man rather excited. A part of his mind nagged at him not to, that it felt so much like rushing things, but he quickly shrugged it off. This was actually a pretty... different, unique, and interesting thing to happen to him. Why not go with it?

"... bah..." Despite the enjoyment of it all, however, he shook his head with a bit of fatigue on his shoulders. "I kinda feel like goin' to bed now. I'm waaaay tired..."

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasstrenches.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's the spirit," Surge nodded, squeezing the hand in his. He'd never really been in any sort of relationship like this, so he was a bit uncertain as what to do next. But, like almost everything Surge did, he trusted his instincts and didn't look back.

Noticing Goose's shoulders sag a bit, Surge's smirk faded a little. He was tempted to make another snarky remark, but he figured he'd done enough of that this weekend. "If you're tired, then go to bed. I'm sure we'll see each other tomorrow before everyone leaves." He hesitated before giving Goose a quick peck on the lips and let go of his hand.

Re: Moar Bar Adventures

[identity profile] badasscopters.livejournal.com 2008-07-18 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Y-Yeah..." Goose sighed pleasantly, the tiny supposed 'goodbye kiss' of sorts not aiding him in slowing his heart rate at all. "Might as well. I guess I'll see ya' soon, then," said the weary one, giving the other one short, quick hug before getting off of his stool and heading off to his room.

As he wandered out of the bar, he almost was tempted to scan the room for any strange stares or anything of the sort, yet he was honestly too tired to really bother. All he wanted to focus on was getting to sleep, something he certainly lacked in for the past couple of days (sans just last night due to how he was out like a light). One more thought, however, lingered on in his mind before he left Surge entirely and headed out...

Well, at least he didn't hafta' carry me to my room passed out this time.
