Much like Saturday night, this log is where you'll be posting your hotel room threads, and exploring around the hotel. This includes the main lobby, the dining lounge [which has a bar], the hallways and the courtyard. All your hotel rooms and the main lobby have little laptops with computer access, if your characters want to update their journals for whatever reason. :3

Don't forget your handy dandy MAP!

FOREWARNING: I'M GOING TO HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO COMPLETE SATURDAY NIGHT, THAT YOU IGNORE THIS LOG'S EXISTENCE AND COMPLETE IT BEFORE JUMPING IN HERE. THIS LOG IS GOING TO GET BACKDATED NO MATTER WHAT, IT WILL NOT BE COMPLETED TONIGHT. IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND WE CAN WAIT FOR YOU. <3

OR IF YOU'RE COOL WITH DROPPING WHATEVER ACTIVIES YOU WERE DOING, ASSUMING THINGS WERE ALL WELL AND MOVING ON, THAT'S ALRIGHT. Just, mightmaybe be a good idea to talk with whomever your character might of been interacting with if it's possible, in case they wanted to do something special with you.

OR, IF YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE DOUBLE-DAY POSTING, THAT'S FINE TOO. JUST TRY NOT TO GET CONFUSED, BECAUSE I SURE AS HELL WOULD.

Same rules in this log as before--post new comments with appropriate labels for your hotel rooms, main lobby, ect... and reply to them accordingly.

If it's not too much trouble, linking to threads when you thread hop [or tegaki log] helps lessen the confusion! X)

We'll be checking out of the hotel Monday morning, so have your characters stay up late again when they're done playing in the springs, if you like! Have fun!

Snake looked up at Otacon, and looked over at the hand draped around his shoulders.
"....I messed up. I mess up everything."
He looked up at Otacon again.
"Things suck right now. I'm in this dumb body, not to mention the only reason Samus isn't angry with me is because I am."

[I am so bad at making Otacon sound like a father figure. D:]

Otacon did his best to smile, even if his headache was not helping.

“Don't be so harsh on yourself. All men make mistakes, but only wise men learn from their mistakes.”

He paused, stroking his chin. “I'm not saying that everything is fine right now, but I'm sure it's all fixable. The heart swap will be gone in a few days, and although I'm sure it's an embarrassing situation for Samus and Jeff, they'll be fine. I'm going to do everything in my power to find out about this cursed spring, so you and Falcon can get better. We can do this! We're a team, remember? We've been through worse. “ He looked at Dave with a more serious look. “Just don't...hate yourself for this, alright? I subjected myself to that train of thought for so many years when I ran away from home...trust me, it's not worth it.”

Dave sighed, and finally managed to crack somewhat of a smile.
"Thanks, Otacon. That's nice to hear."
He looked up at the other man.
"I had this dream last week. It was weird. It was kind of a replay of what happened before I had to uh...bow out for a bit. Liquid..."
He furrowed his brow.
"...I don't really know. It was a surprise."

“Liquid?” Otacon's voice sounded almost angry at the name, a bad memory he liked to push off his mind as much as possible. There was no way around it now.

“...what was the dream about?” He'd been wanting to ask Snake about it for some time, and it almost felt weird to ask now considering his state but he knew he might never have the opportunity again.

"Well, I know it might sound weird, but the dream had a lot to do with both Liquid and Porky. Uhm. It was right after we infiltrated New Pork City. It's really fuzzy now, but. They were both sort of yelling at me about what I was going to become. Something cold and unfeeling. I think...Falcon and Samus might have been dead."
He sighed again, and pouted a little, grimacing when he realized he was.
I'm glad I don't pout in my real body...
"Eh. I guess I'm over it now, but it shook me up pretty bad when I woke up."

“...A nightmare. Ughh, that explains it...I can understand how you feel...I sometimes have those when I put too much red peppers in my ramen...” he stopped, realizing he was changing the subject like he sometimes did. “..S-Sorry. I can understand that your body would react like that, especially after what we saw at Porky's tower...” he shuddered a bit when he said the man's name.

He then turned and gave him another warm smile. “But...I have a hard time believing what your nightmare claims right now.” He pointed toward his shirt. “The humidity on this says otherwise, anyway.” He paused, and scratched his head, almost regretful of what he was going to say since they'd probably use this against him later, but he felt his friend had to know.

“I didn't stick both of you in the same room out of pure malice, I can assure you. Even if I've known Ms.Aran for just a few weeks, I'm not blind. I can see both of you have feelings for each other, but despite all of what you've done, all the situations and battles you've both overcome...when it comes to love...both of you are afraid. Fear of the unknown? Fear of attachment? Fear of loss? It's what makes us living beings instead of mere soldiers, Dave. I don't care what Porky or Liquid or anyone else who might have been in your nightmare said, someone who fears and loves and regrets about what they've done can't be cold and unfeeling. It's simply impossible.”

Snake's eyes snapped up at the use of his real name. His face obviously showed that he was surprised someone finally used it, but as he had speculated earlier, he really wasn't Snake at the moment.

As for what Otacon had just said...
He let it sink in. "I am afraid. Maybe I'm making all the other stuff up, and I'm really just covering for how scared I am. I think...I think I need to talk to Samus when I'm not like this anymore."
He paused for a moment, considering his next move, and scooted closer to Otacon, letting his adolescence take over, and leaning his head on his friend.
"Thanks. This has been on my mind."

His friend simply continued to smile, turning his gaze from Snake to the window, looking far into the horizon as the sun slowly started to set.

“You're welcome. And...I'm sure she'll appreciate that.”

A small sparrow landed on the window's frame and began to sing. Despite everything that had happened, Otacon knew it would turn out alright.
