Much like Saturday night, this log is where you'll be posting your hotel room threads, and exploring around the hotel. This includes the main lobby, the dining lounge [which has a bar], the hallways and the courtyard. All your hotel rooms and the main lobby have little laptops with computer access, if your characters want to update their journals for whatever reason. :3

FOREWARNING: I'M GOING TO HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE UNFINISHED BUSINESS TO COMPLETE SATURDAY NIGHT, THAT YOU IGNORE THIS LOG'S EXISTENCE AND COMPLETE IT BEFORE JUMPING IN HERE. THIS LOG IS GOING TO GET BACKDATED NO MATTER WHAT, IT WILL NOT BE COMPLETED TONIGHT. IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND WE CAN WAIT FOR YOU. <3

OR IF YOU'RE COOL WITH DROPPING WHATEVER ACTIVIES YOU WERE DOING, ASSUMING THINGS WERE ALL WELL AND MOVING ON, THAT'S ALRIGHT. Just, mightmaybe be a good idea to talk with whomever your character might of been interacting with if it's possible, in case they wanted to do something special with you.

OR, IF YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE DOUBLE-DAY POSTING, THAT'S FINE TOO. JUST TRY NOT TO GET CONFUSED, BECAUSE I SURE AS HELL WOULD.

Same rules in this log as before--post new comments with appropriate labels for your hotel rooms, main lobby, ect... and reply to them accordingly.

...Apparently, Lucas had forgotten that the phrase "too weird" did not exist at Sumabura.

Seconds of awkward silence passed as Lucas attempted to justify the situation in his head. There had to be some other reason this kid with a strong family resemblance happened to be dressed like his dad and know his name and also have a dog with him who seemed an awful lot like Boney.

...Hm, nope. He had nothing.

"D-Dad...?! How did you... why... and Boney..." He gestured helplessly, struggling to find the right words for this immensely bizarre scenario and failing terribly.

"I have no idea." Flint tried to explain. "Boney ran away, and we both got lost, and we found this other hot spring, and Boney knocked me in, and the next thing I knew we were like this!"

Relating the story out loud helped reinforce just how absolutely ridiculous the situation was. It didn't really help that his current state was making it very hard for Flint to not outright panic. As much as he hated to admit it... he really wanted to cry.

"Also I lost my room key. It was in my pants and I lost those, too. And my hat doesn't fit anymore."

It took every ounce of willpower he had left to keep himself from adding, "and I wanna go home!"

Wow, yeah. That was ridiculous.

But he could tell that his dad was confused and upset. Lucas couldn't let his dad be unhappy, especially not when he was just a kid. He could hardly blame him for looking so frightened and tired and sad. Okay... so what did Dad do when Lucas was like that?

...Um...

Okay, what did Mom used to do?

Lucas knelt down to Flint's eye level, pulling him into a hug and patting his back soothingly (if not a little bit awkwardly). "It's okay, Dad. We'll get you a new key at the front desk, okay? And... um... you'll grow into the hat." Which was really, really weird to say, because Dad had said the exact same thing to Claus and him when they were little. Oh man, this was too absurd.

This was quite possibly the most awkward experience Flint had ever had in his life. And he was much older than he appeared to be at the moment.

It had been several years since Flint had shown much, if any, affection to either of his sons- that alone made this moment plenty awkward. But there was also the added problem of how he was in the middle of the most bizarre role-reversal in the history of role-reversals: not only was he younger than his own son, but his own son was currently hugging him and comforting him and telling him it was going to be all right.

But the most bizarre part was... it was working. He actually felt better.

"...ok."

It was still really awkward, though.

Yeah, it was kind of awkward, wasn't it? Unless you counted the near-death bus ride from the other day, the last time Lucas had hugged his father was... um... he... he couldn't even remember. He wasn't sure if it made it more uncomfortable to think that he was comforting a lost child or his own father.

Lucas broke the hug and got to his feet again. "Come on, Dad. If... if it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one who... um... y'know. Apparently Mr. Falcon's little now, too." Though he wasn't sure if that was any help or not. Mom had always been so good at comforting, but Lucas... Lucas wasn't sure if he was really doing that good of a job or not. He hesitated for a moment, glancing over to Flint. "U-um... you can hold my hand if you wanna."

Flint was actually quite relieved to learn he wasn't the only one who had a run in at the weird private spring. At least now he wouldn't be the only one getting stares from the students. He stood up and brushed himself off.

"We better get going. No point in sitting here making a scene." Flint said, then realized that he had to crane his neck to look up at his son. "And, uh, I think I'll pass on the hand ho-"

He cut off when he looked back down an realized that he had already grabbed Lucas' hand.

"...Uh."

Chibi-Robo finally found a child that fit the description of blonde ice cream hair.

... And another... odd... almost naked child.

This is a terrible running gag, Karma.

The robot walked into view slowly from the nearby path, carefully carrying the towel that had the poor little Pikmin encased. It wondered how to get their attention.

...Wow. Lucas wasn't sure if he'd even been expecting Dad to take his hand. It was a little bit surprising that his stoic, distant father would go for something so... wimpy? Weak? He wasn't sure what the word he wanted was, just that it was kind of unexpected.

"Uh. W-well... you're right, we should get going. Coming, Boney?" He glanced over his shoulder to the little brown puppy when a glint of silver caught the corner of his eye. Lucas looked up to see a... a metal child? No, a robot. It was carefully carrying a towel, which struck Lucas as a little odd. Then again, seeing a robot at a ryokan was pretty odd in and of itself.

But still not as odd as holding hands with his younger-than-him dad.

Chibi-Robo recognized the student from the class now, 'Deejay''s description aside. It had seen him talking with Jeff on whether or not they could keep and raise something they had named Ionia, presumably the Pikmin Jeff had uprooted from its pot.

This Pikmin Chibi-Robo was cradling and the Pikmin from that day must be one and the same.

It's not polite to eavesdrop, but when you're 10cm tall, people tend to stand right next to you and talk to their heart's content... I can't help it...

But that wasn't what was important. The metallic janitor stepped forward, and carefully tried to show the student what it was carrying. Hopefully the boy would put two and two together and recognize the small creature.

"Ionia...?"

Lucas wouldn't be much of a ~~father~~ ~~mother~~ parent if he couldn't recognize his own child. He didn't think there were that many blue Pikmin wandering around the hot springs, anyway. By the look of things, her transformation ball had run out. Good thing this robot had been around to help out... though Lucas couldn't help wondering how it had known to find him; he had yet to make the association between the tiny robot custodian and this much-less-tiny robot guy. He carefully scooped up the little creature, then shot a grateful smile to Chibi-Robo. "Um... thanks for taking care of her. I don't know what I'd do if somebody had stepped on her or something."

The robot smiled and rubbed the back of its head. It was glad to help, and it was grateful itself that everything seemed to have been solved for the day.

The metal midget waved to Ionia slightly with its pinky, and then to Lucas and the young handy-man, before walking to the Ryokan quickly. It was running low on charge after all, and its transformation ball would run out soon.

I'm shorter than all the students... I really should get stilts...

At least... I got thanked a lot today. Maybe Transformation Balls aren't that much bad luck.

And with its last thought, the mute bot was out of their sight.
