Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Slumber party in the common room! Build a wall outside your best or worst friend's room from whatever garbage you find lying around to prevent them from escaping the confines of their dorm! Gather around the TV for some late night movie action! Kidnap a princess or two! Break down some unfortunate walls! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

[Between Poo leaving and the whole Kraken thing, Paula wasn't exactly in the highest of spirits. But baking always cheered her up, so there she was.]

I'm making brownies. Though I can't decide if I should change it up a bit and... add something new to the recipe. Like fruit or mint or something. What do you think?

[Peach had been trying to recoil from the experience too, so she wasn't going to get into any of that.]

Adding mint would give it a delightful freshness. I happen to personally be rather fond of chocolate mint.

[Pouring the mixture into a pan, she shifted her weight between her feet.]

I just felt like cooking. It's always fun and relaxing. Though... I suppose things have been a bit hectic lately. I guess I just wanted a break from schoolwork.

How about you?

I think that's my reason as well.

[But she doesn't want to talk about the hectic stuff, no getting Paula upset.]

I always find a joy in baking sweets. Hmm, though I never knew why exactly.

[Paula nodded, a small smile growing upon her lips.]

Me too. I really like the smells of the kitchen... fresh fruits, dough baking, spices like cinnamon or vanilla... It's refreshing. Plus, it's always nice to have that feeling of accomplishment when you make something and it comes out tasting delicious.

[This was a very positive conversation. Peach is pleased.]

Yes, this is all very true.

And experimenting is a good way to use up time indoors since it's still so cold out.

[Paula hadn't even thought of that aspect of it. Gosh, Peach was so smart!]

Though nothing quite says "winter" like coming inside from the cold and warming up with baked treats, straight from the oven.

Hmmm, it certainly does keep us warm too.

Perhaps if you are not busy, would you care to join me for some tea and perhaps socialize elsewhere speaking of which?

[If Paula is still stressed...might do her good to hang out.]

[With brownies now in the oven, Paula had time to actually think about Peach's offer. She was feeling a bit tired, more so than usual. Perhaps just talking about it over tea would do her some good.]

[Although nowadays, Volgin could be a bit... much. Paula still enjoyed the class, all things considered.]

I remember everything you made looked really good. Like they were straight out of a cook book picture or a food TV show.
