Blind Dates C Tables

What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with C table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: September 30th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

[The third group's restaurant is a rotating fancy restaurant, the tallest in all of FDC! The place is high up in the air, and you can see all of the city from above! It slowly moves around itself so you can see the city from 360 degrees. The menu has all sorts of things. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!

The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with reddish lanterns hanged on top. The overhead
music is half traditional Italian love songs, half that band you don't remember the name of and sometimes a little song sneaks in. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English and talk-like-a-dis despite the menu not being 100% Italian.

Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.

Find your table!

OH YEAH AND FEEL FREE TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!.

..well once you've actually talked with your date anyway. If you try to leave before that, they will try to stop you.]

Another blind date, another chump to mess around with!

For Doopliss, the last blind date he went on was a complete success! For him. Turning into some hot chick and pretending to be all nice-y nice only to completely fool Pit was a blast! It was always easier to prank someone that he at least had an idea on who he or she was.

This time, however, he had no idea who this guy was. So, if he were to transform into someone right now, he'd have no idea if it'd be a good or a bad thing for his blind date. Might as well hold off on turning into somebody else. For now.

He hovered over right next to Marie. "So are you thinkin' about sitting down or do you just want to do this whole thing standing, slick?"

Not expecting someone to be hovering right next to him, Marie jumped a little when Doopliss spoke. Wh-who was he calling slick? Marie scowled at the little ghost and replied, "Yeah, I was just waiting for... whoever. To show up."

He nervously pulled his chair out and sat down. And he didn't say anything else to Doopliss after that.

"Well, looks like that whoever is me!" Doopliss said, glancing down at his paper revealing his number. "Yep. First table. Right here." And with that, he sat down in his chair!

The duplighost's first impression of Marie was that he was a pretty nervous guy. Going off of that, it might be easy to trick him, but what's to say that he was wrong? Might as well break the ice first, to be safe. "So, what're you all tense for, slick?"

From Lady Mermer to pipsqueak, Marie was used to being called names. He still couldn't quite wrap his head around slick, though. He didn't ask and opted instead to shrug it off.

"I'm not tense," he replied. Marie was often tense. He paused, thought for a moment, and then added, "My name is Marie."

Doopliss raised an eyebrow, not particularly buying the whole being not tense thing. "Uhhh-huh, sure. Well, anyway, the name's Doopliss!" While under normal circumstances, he would still keep his name a secret, however seeing as how a good handful of people at the school know his name already, it was kind of pointless to keep that from anybody anymore. At least, anyone who went to the academy.

The duplighost looked out at the window for a brief second. "Check it ouuuuut, you can see everything from up here!" he exclaimed. While part of the reason through talking about this was to see how Marie would react about being so high up and use that to his advantage, he was still also genuinely excited about seeing the whole city at such a high place.

I SUCK AT TAGGING LATELY, I'M SO SORRY.

This date was off to a rough start for Marie from the very beginning. But the person he ended up with, Marie ultimately decided, was incredibly odd. That made things even worse than they already were. Something Marie did very well was think about how great it would be to disappear or turn into a puddle on the floor so he wouldn't have to deal with whatever he was dealing with. So he did that.

But the little ghost caught his attention again. He peered out the window just like Doopliss. Not caring too much for heights, he just frowned. It wasn't a big fear of his, but he wasn't a fan of being up high. "It's alright," he commented quietly.

That's okay, it's all good!

That…wasn’t much of a reaction at all. It was always a little bit harder to pick on the more apathetic ones, but he wasn’t going to give up just yet! Maybe this Marie guy was just putting up a wall, and if the sheet ghost were to break it down, then maybe he’ll see Marie freak out over something!

Nevertheless, Doopliss responded, "It's more than alright, the view's awesome!" He turned back over to Marie. Could the sheet ghost at least make him open up a little? "So. You sure nothing's up with you? Nothing at all, slick?"

His wall was nearly always up, particularly when he was with strangers. But it usually wasn't too hard to break it down. Good luck, Doopliss.

Marie shook his head. "I'm fine," he replied. "I just have a lot on my mind, you know?" He frowned. It was unusual for him to share that much with someone he wasn't familiar with right off the bat. Although he was worried he was disappointing the duplighost, and so he thought he'd offer an excuse of sorts...

Oh ho, now he was getting somewhere! So something was bugging his blind date after all! It wasn't a very huge lead, but it was a lead nonetheless.

"A lot on your mind, ehhhhh?" the sheet ghost repeated. He started to lean just a little bit closer towards Marie. "Maybe if you talk about it, you'll feel better, slick!"
