Blind Dates C Tables

What: BLIND DATES!
Who: Anyone who was sent a note with C table numbers.
Where: Off-campus restaurant. AND BEYOND!
When: September 30th
Warnings: Who knows depending who is here.

[The third group's restaurant is a rotating fancy restaurant, the tallest in all of FDC! The place is high up in the air, and you can see all of the city from above! It slowly moves around itself so you can see the city from 360 degrees. The menu has all sorts of things. Still expensive, however, but you've been given a 100$ budget for eating each!

The lighting is dim, with flickering, oil candles on every table. The place is decorated in stylish black and browns, with reddish lanterns hanged on top. The overhead
music is half traditional Italian love songs, half that band you don't remember the name of and sometimes a little song sneaks in. Your servers are all dressed up for the occasion, and speak broken English and talk-like-a-dis despite the menu not being 100% Italian.

Beside each candle, there's a card. Each card has a different letter-number combination.

Find your table!

OH YEAH AND FEEL FREE TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!.

..well once you've actually talked with your date anyway. If you try to leave before that, they will try to stop you.]

Ah, Erika remembered this establishment fairly well. It was an enjoyable time last time, so she hoped that being included again in this scenario would go just as well this time and not end up horribly awkward.

She wore a slightly nicer kimono this evening to fit the restaurant, but it wasn't anything terribly fancy in Erika's eyes. Dressed to impress, but not to impress too much. This was just going to be a pleasant evening of conversation for the gym leader and really nothing more than that. She was quite curious about who she would end up with for the evening, and wore a small smile as she waited to see.

Hopefully they'd appear before she dozed off or something.

Surge had never been on one of these blind dates before. He considered himself lucky when he heard of the poor saps who got roped into the event the last few times. Sadly, it seemed his luck had run out.

Or maybe not. Approaching the table, he was pleased to see that his companion for the evening was a familiar face.

"Fancy seeing you here," the lieutenant grinned.

Well, well, this was a pleasant enough surprise. Erika politely bowed her head in the lieutenant's direction, offering him a small smile of his very own.

"This is quite the surprise," she greeted softly. "Not even the happily wed were spared, I see."

"Guess not," he chuckled as he sat down. "Not that Goose would probably care. Hell, I'm surprised he's not here. This sort of random, social thing seems right up his alley."

Look at him, going on about his husband when there was a perfectly lovely lady waiting for him. Now where were his manners?

"How have you been lately? The greenhouse keeping you busy?"

That just meant you were a good husband indeed, Surge. She could not begrudge you for your happy chatter. Erika chuckled softly and folded her hands in her lap.

"I've been quite well. They have been, both here and at home. There's never a lack of things to be done."

She glanced down at the menu for a brief moment before she looked back up at him curiously. "And yourself? What sort of exploits have you been getting yourself into recently?"

Surge shrugged, "Nothing too exciting. Just the normal classes, dealing with students, that sort of stuff."

Honestly, it had been pretty boring lately. When everything else failed for idle chit-chat, Surge started talking about what he enjoyed most: electric Pokemon. "Dunno if you heard but Red's Pikachu showed up a little while ago. Seems like the kid's whole team is coming back to the school. Gotta watch out for Chika's spunk, she's still a handful!" he laughed.

Erika was not incredibly surprised. "I can imagine they wouldn't like spending so long away from their trainer," Erika said thoughtfully. "But I have heard that she's shown up. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one." She doubted Red would have needed anymore problems to show up on his plate, given everything else that had happened.

"I hope she adjusts well."

"She has most of her team here, I'm sure she'll be fine."

Surge finally glanced down at the menu. "Damn..." he let out an impressed whistle, "I knew this was a high-end restaurant but I haven't even heard of some of these things. Makes it kinda hard to decide on what to get."

"How about you?" Surge wouldn't have been surprised if Erika frequented fancy restaurants. Maybe not ones this expensive, but she had fairly elegant tastes. Certainly more so than the lieutenant.
