Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's goin down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Anything and everything is possible. Break out the board games for a late night full of laughter, losing, cheating and bonding! Swipe the janitor's keys and gain access to all the impassable places your wildest dreams could only reach! Tiptoe quietly to the kitchen downstairs and make a midnight snack with all your friends! Drive all your neighbors to madness with your ceaseless My Little Ponyta marathons! Get in fisticuffs with your best worst lifelong rival on the rooftops at 4! It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

What an...odd-looking girl. But she was by the lake, and he approached. Perhaps Uxie had gone to familiar surroundings. "Pardon me. You seem to be searching for something."

She turned when Cyrus addressed her and wiggled her ears. In one hand she twirled her parasol, which seemed to be entirely instinctive. "Hello." She'd seen him before, but she didn't actually know who he was.

Then she gestured with her other hand, "I was looking for bugs. Have you seen any?"

"Not today," he said. "However, I was reading on them the other day."

She blinked, her attention fully captivated. She was such a very naive child. Wise, but naive. "Oh? Do you like them, too?"

"They are not my specialty, but I recognize their importance."

Well, that certainly seemed good enough for her. So she decided to ask her initial question again. "Have you seen any here?"

"Not as of late. However there are likely many around us, under the ground or on the surface of the water." Was she obsessed with bugs?

Yes. Yes, she was, Cyrus. "Hm... I'll have to keep looking for them!" Then she blinked up at him with those large eyes. "You said you were looking for something, right?"

Didn't he say lake spirits? Not that she knew what those were or what they'd be doing.

"Yes..." He stared at her. "There are spirits that dwell around us, those things that brought to us the elements of the mind. I seek those which delivered emotion and knowledge."

She blinked at him again, mostly because she didn't understand what he was talking about. Emotion and knowledge? And somehow she figured if she asked, it was going to take a few years to get through.

"Oh..." Then she wiggled her ears. "Nope. I don't know anything about spirits. I haven't seen any either."

"I do not speak of spirits akin to ghosts, but rather to those base forms that embody the listed elements," he clarified as if she would understand.

And no, she didn't really get that either, but at least she knew he didn't mean ghosts. Not that she knew anything about ghosts either. The thought was appreciated, however.

"Uhm. Hm." Elements. Elements? She didn't even know how to define an element. "I don't think I've seen or heard of anything like those either..."

"I see. Inform me if you do." He turned to go, but paused. Still facing away, he spoke again. "Tell me...What is the world to you?"

She nodded. Agitha had every intent to continue her little bug hunt and was mid-incline when Cyrus continued.

She raised slowly and carefully held her basket to her before twirling her parasol again, "Depends on the world you're in!" Her reply was strangely chipper as though she knew very well the difference in worlds.

That wasn't something he'd expected to hear, but it was more than welcome. "This world, then."

"Welllll," Agitha began as she straightened her posture. "Hum. I know that I'm going to make a bug house, and I've met plenty of people who are very nice and want to help me, and that makes me very happy."

It was a typical conversation with a twelve-year-old.

That wasn't what he asked, not by a long shot. He frowned. "What of the world past that?"

She shook her head at him, "Nothing aside. I don't really leave home where I come from. I have my bugs to take care of and I can't take them on long journeys." Agitha smiled ever so sweetly, "You ask some very strange questions, Mister."

And that was how Cyrus became 'Mister Strange'.

"Perhaps I do." It would probably be a tossup as to which of them would be the stranger one from an outside perspective. "There are not many who take such an interest in entomology. What inspires that in you?"

"I think I got it from my mother and father."

It was hard for her to remember because she'd lost them from such an early age. In fact, she had to piece together what she did remember, but it made sense to her. Of course she'd been shown bugs when she was younger. Otherwise, why else would have she known such a fondness for them?

Why would she ask that?

His eyes narrowed in a slight glare. "So you have taken that mantle onto yourself. Have you akin to it? Or do you wish for somethng beyond that?"

"I'm very happy with my bugs," she replied rather simply. But she was twelve and twelve-year-olds were rather... straight about what they did and did not like. Funny, how adults seemed to get less likely to be so cut and dry.
