Remembuh me? The roomie log turned out to be a success, and a lot of really awesome interactions took place. Because of this, I've decided it was about time to post round two. The name has been changed a little because I think it reflects the premise slightly better.

Basically, here's what this is: we all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good portal for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR and the like. Some examples can be seen in the link I provided if you fight through the buttload of comments in case I'm sort of unclear.

So how do we start? It's up to you, really. Don't have any plans with anyone else but want your character bugged? Start a thread. It helps to staple dates and times, but you can keep that completely ambiguous if you really don't care/it doesn't matter. So disembark and wreak havoc amongst yourselves! Set up karaoke and sing loudly to further improve relations with dorm neighbors! Jack cylindrical fluorescent light bulbs from the supply closet and fight like Jedi Masters! Build couch forts with other people's laundry! (...ew?) Hold a "study session" with that special someone of yours! Harass teachers and students alike with your inane questions! What bountiful possibilities await you.

Waddle Dee's eyes doubled in size, and indeed, his head did shake. However, it wasn't because he didn't want to answer. It was as if he was saying no, it wasn't sensitive. It was, in fact, in his nature to be a bit of a traveler, and he loved that way of life. He was just very thankful to those who aided him on his journey around.

"Um, nothing bad, I promise. I just travel. A lot. I never stay in one place for long..." He paused and added a little extra. "I like it here, though. I also like traveling. I dunno if I'll stay or if I'll go one day, but I want to stay for now. If that makes sense."

Tony nodded and decorated his features with a smile again. "You had me worried there for a sec. I thought you had been abandoned or left homeless or something bad like that, but it turns out you're alright after all. What a relief!"

He turned a small ways to give his room a once-over with his eyes, noticing that while there were a few odds and ends blemishing the cleanliness of the dorm, there wasn't much left to be done. That was fine! He wouldn't have to trouble Waddle Dee so much, but then... it dawned on him that because of such little cleaning left to do, he wouldn't stay quite as long as if the room had been trashed. Tony liked his unexpected company.

"There... isn't much cleaning left to do, but if you would like to, um... hang around a little longer, I wouldn't mind! At all. So... make yourself at home!"

"R-Really?"

Tony, can you feel Waddle Dee's eyes sparkling? Because they are. Golly gee, Tony was being so nice! He was even letting him stick around! It was as if he wanted his presence here, and that made him feel so warm inside. What a nice guy!

"I'd like to stay for a little. I mean, since you don't mind. I like it here. Uh... I'll turn back now so I can really talk again."

POOF. After giving Tony the notepad, the human was then replaced with the tiny marshmallow puff again.

"There, that's better, I think."

Oops. Tony squealed. The transformation was not only startling, but what replaced the boy with the scarf over his mouth was furry and adorable. He broke into another grin, then held up the notepad for himself to read.

Oh, but Waddle Dee was talking. Tony peered back down and made a comment about that. "Oh! You're talking. It's- well, I remember you writing down here that you could talk, but even then, it's really surprising to finally hear your voice. I'm sorry about squealing like that, by the way."

Looking at the puffball, he also began to wonder if being so small would actually help the Waddle Dee be a better cleaner-upper than if he was more human-shaped. It was the way he was born though, right? So maybe he was used to it.

Waddle Dee was a little startled by the squeal, ready to run, but it was soon that he realized that the squeal wasn't of ill intention. Tony was just surprised. Phew, that was good. Here he thought he'd done something wrong! What a relief.

"Oh, it's okay. I guess it's kind of... different. Or... maybe you forgot for just a second?"

HMMM.

"Nooo, no, nothing of the sort, I just..." The truth, as embarrassing as it must be to admit so readily, slid out. "You're so very cute and I couldn't contain it. Sure, you gave me that helpful drawing just a few moments ago, but it's quite different to be seeing you so real." He bent down so he was closer to the even shorter Waddle Dee version of his new friend.

An urge to extend his hand over the top of his head overcame him, but he wondered if that would make Dee feel uncomfortable...

Sheesh, Tony was going to make Waddle Dee blush here! In fact, he probably already was, just a little! This new friend called him cute. That was so nice of him! He wasn't really called cute very often. Then again, back home, his overly-adorable appearance was probably nothing more than the norm. Thus, compliments like that were possibly rare.

"R-Really? Um..." He covered his face, mainly from being a bit flustered. It was also his strange gesture of showing that he was bashfully happy! "Golly, that's... I mean, I really am? Thanks..."

Dee's overwhelming sheepishness was somewhat contagious, and Tony found himself blushing as well. Goodness, and all he did was call him cute! Oh, but such a reaction could be understood. Had someone (especially Jeff) called him cute he wouldn't know what to do with himself and he'd devolve the situation into an awkward, stuttering halt. Or an awkward silence. Whichever!

"Well... of course! Is it really such a surprise?" He laughed airily. "I didn't mean to embarrass you!"

"But- But I'm not embarrassed! Uh, I mean..." Dee lowered his stubs from his face and stared at Tony while he wondered how to word this. "I'm... I guess I'm just grateful. I dunno. It's just new, I guess. Thanks, though."

On the same token, though, Waddle Dee was pretty easy to make a bashful little mess.
