Dorm Log!

Who: It's OPEN. (Anyone)
What: Dorm hijinks and etc. Whatever you want.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond.

Remembuh me? The roomie log turned out to be a success, and a lot of really awesome interactions took place. Because of this, I've decided it was about time to post round two. The name has been changed a little because I think it reflects the premise slightly better.

Basically, here's what this is: we all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good portal for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR and the like. Some examples can be seen in the link I provided if you fight through the buttload of comments in case I'm sort of unclear.

So how do we start? It's up to you, really. Don't have any plans with anyone else but want your character bugged? Start a thread. It helps to staple dates and times, but you can keep that completely ambiguous if you really don't care/it doesn't matter. So disembark and wreak havoc amongst yourselves! Set up karaoke and sing loudly to further improve relations with dorm neighbors! Jack cylindrical fluorescent light bulbs from the supply closet and fight like Jedi Masters! Build couch forts with other people's laundry! (...ew?) Hold a "study session" with that special someone of yours! Harass teachers and students alike with your inane questions! What bountiful possibilities await you.

[Giovanni is at his desk, typing up something on the computer for class. There's a soft sound of classical music coming from the computer, and the only other noises are the taktak of the keys and the tapping of a Newton's cradle (http://www.officeplayground.com/Assets/ProductPreview/pi2100-2299/2190_swingingwonder_1b.jpg) on the desk. He doesn't seem to notice Lucas is there yet.]

[Huh... Kind of a laid-back guy. I guess... Lucas can't seem to place where he's seen him before, and he kind of wanders in.

... Not seen him yet, huh? Time for that voice of his to be heard yet again.]

[Laid-back? Hah! Oh Lucas, clearly you have no idea about the man in front of you.
He snaps out of his concentration at the voice, and looks up.]

Oh, hello. Is there something you need?

[Eh, the whole "Classical music" chic kind of sold it for him.]

I was just coming by to see about a syllabus or something for this semester. I was thinking of joining but I'm still unsure.

[Knock knock. Guess who's coming to visit! And doesn't care what Archer would say.]

[Giovanni is currently sitting on the couch reading, and looks up at the sound. He comes to the door fairly quick, and opens it after confirming the other's identity on his device.]

Oh, hello, Mac! I wasn't expecting you!

Hey, Mr. Giovanni!

I was just in the neighborhood is all, just thought I'd stop by.

Oh, well it's good to see you again, please, come in!

[Thankfully Archer isn't around. The living room is as neat and warm as ever. Notte is perched on a chair by the door to the balcony, sunning himself; he looks rather like a giant puffball with a hat.]

How are your classes so far?

[And Mac came in. Mac looked at Notte. Hey Notte, you like nuts? When Mac came over he brought over a little bag filled with some cashews just for you. He set the bag close to him in case he really wanted them.]

Fine, keeps me busy. But I like it that way.

[Oh man, Notte loves nuts. He looks up at Mac, looks down at the bag, and after cooing at the boxer, dug into the bag of them. :|;;]

Heh, he seems to really enjoy them. Thank you for the gift. So, how are you liking the lessons so far?

((OOC: I am going to say they started talking about natural phenomenon and the causes behind them. More plate tectonics, but he also talked about geysers a little.))

((OOC: Mac hangs around Giovanni enough that that's a safe thing to assume!))

They're pretty good. [But...he missed Psychology.]

You know me, I try my best out there for that kind of stuff.

[It's rare to find Archer outside of the apartment. His room doesn't even look very lived in. How he does this is a mystery. Today he's let his Houndour out for a change. He's currently playing with the small dog Pokemon and actually looks like he's having a good time for a change.]

[...Hopefully Giovanni will still be out for awhile. Wouldn't want the boss to walk in on him doing anything not related to Team Rocket, after all. Archer's been hanging out in the living room. Hmm. He should probably move if he doesn't want Giovanni to walk in on him. But he doesn't.]

[WELP too bad Archer, Daddy's opening the door now. Except he's pretty quite. DO YOU NOTICE THIS ARCHER?]

[Nope, sorry boss. He really should be paying closer attention but. Houndour's currently barking and rolling around on the ground being cute. And who can't resist the cuteness of dark little puppies?]

[Who's that knocking at Archer and Giovanni's door? Why, it's their BEST FRIEND EVER, that's who. She's got the Dragonite with her today, and something concealed behind her back.]

[Today you'll get Archer opening the door ~~because it's the only thing he's useful for~~. The first thing he sees is a Dragonite. Holy--]

[--Oh it's just Lyra. Well then. Have a condescending look. How dare you intrude on his ~~alone time with the boss~~ privacy.]

Lyra. What do you want?

[You might see Houndoom and Houndour behind him, both tugging on either side of that shirt you gave him awhile ago. It's become their chew toy. They're currently growling quite loudly at one another and it's rather clear he was in the middle of playing with them. ...Not that he'd ever admit it if you asked him, of course.]

Archer.

[She rises up on tiptoes for a second, blatantly trying to peek into the room. Oh, hello doggies! Lyra's grin just goes a mile wide at that.]

...You guys were playing, weren't you?

[And there's a shoulder attempting to get in your viewing way so you don't see that-- Oh. Too late.]

Of course not. [Quick, subject change!] What do you want? [Let's get down to business. ~~TO DEFEAT. THE HUNS.~~]

Well, since your Pokemon liked the last shirt so much...

I saw it at a thrift store and couldn't resist. I thought it would really bring out your eyes.

[What... what is that. Oh no. Not another one. Archer will just glower at you, Lyra, and then turn to throw the shirt to the dogs. Literally.]

I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

[His reply is in the sweetest tone he can muster, and despite the fact that he looks like he wants to strangle you, he's still trying to smile and prove he's definitely not irritated. Definitely.]

[Just look at that grin. Like she is trying very hard not to laugh.]

Aren't you gonna thank me?

[Well, so much for that. That comment just pushed him over the edge. Have the door slammed in your face, Lyra.]
