Warnings: Spooky stuff.

Except it's not really all that dark and stormy. It's a cool, clear night in Final Destination, ready and waiting for shenanigans of all sorts. The streets are full of trick-or-treaters, the front porches are full of pumpkins, the sky is full of stars. All-in-all...a perfect evening.

Of course, nothing is always as it seems. As the night drags on, it becomes clear that something is not quite right. But what is Halloween without a few scares? As someone once said, it's close to midnight, and something evil's lurking in the dark...

Oh. It was apparently a grumpy Charizard. Falcon had dealt with Char enough to know what a giant angry lizard looked like, and Sasha's threatening display got the message across (he was kind of flashbacking to those mating displays on the roof--leftover Blaziken instincts or something). Geez, did everyone think he was out to kill the school or something?

Of course, Falcon's first thought was not "hey maybe I should put the chainsaw down". He didn't want a fight, but the Captain was certainly not intimidated and certainly wasn't going to back down. He stood his ground and raised his right hand slightly, making eye contact and staring intensely, indicating that he would not be daunted.

Still, he didn't move forward, and waited to see if the dragon was going to attempt an attack.

She didn't. Sasha had no idea who this man was, apart that he had a chainsaw (it was a good thing she hadn't spotted the shotgun or she might have tried to attack him right there and then) and that was certainly not a good thing for the school. She simply stood her ground, uttering a low growl.

Falcon could have easily done a few things, the first of which was actually rev up the chainsaw, but he instantly wrote that off as a bad idea. This was an unfamiliar and potentially unpredictable Pokemon he was dealing with, and the last thing he wanted to do was provoke it into an attack.

Of course, he could have easily talked to her, said who he was, but after Ghor's arrival, the Captain was really not in the mood for pleasantries and really not happy about this Charizard in his way. So he went for an intimidation tactic of his own.

Still refusing to move took a deep breath and the air around him ignited (man that was going to be hell on his clothes), casting an orange glow onto the pavement. "Back off."

Well that certainly changed her course of action. Whoever this was, he was trying to appear bigger than he really was. No problem, she could take down humans if the need arose, but the fire that raged around him...was he a Pokemon too?

Oh, there it was. The part of her brain that realized maybe this was someone from the school in costume. It was Halloween after all! The blocks fell into place and she realized she might seem like an aggressor haha woops. Sasha took a step back, letting loose a roar of fire in the air in greeting (not really realizing that just might appear even more threatening), as her wings folded and covered the front of her body.

And then the dragon morphed into a slightly smaller female frame, the wings folding nearly around her neck, tail flickering in the night.

"I had no idea we could set our entire bodies on fire! That's pretty neat!" She gave him a small wave, before resting her hands on her hips. "I guess that's a costume? For a second I thought you were someone trying to attack the school, hahaha ooops."

Oh. Falcon maybe looked surprised at his admittedly dumb "I'm going to try and out-intimidate a Charizard" plan had actually worked, especially after she let loose that jet of flame. Maybe that was how...Charizards said hello? She certainly seemed a lot less threatening now that she was in human form and actually talking. His own flames dissipated and he straightened up, patting some embers off his (tragically not-fireproof) sleeve.

"We?" Did she think he was...also a Charizard? He took off his chainsaw in order to demonstrate that yes, it was a costume, and that all this was probably just a misunderstanding. "Not attacking, no. You're the second person to think that, for some reason. I teach here."

"Yeah! You're a Pokemon right?" Well aduuuuh. How else could someone be able to channel fire like that? "Unless your a wizard, hahaha!" She meant it as a joke. Because that would be terribly silly.

"Maybe your costume should be a little less threatening," she offered looking at him up and down. "I didn't even notice the gun on your back before. I probably would have been a lot more violent otherwise. Didn't want anyone in this school harmed, that's all." Her eyes lit up at the fact he was a teacher, however. "Really? What do you teach?" Nothing bad at explaining you might have killed someone because of his costume and then asking what they taught right?

"SURPRISE I'M MOLTRES, BITCH"

He shrugged. "I am neither Pokemon nor wizard." She could...make whatever she wanted out of that.

Oh. Right. Yeah, he was kind of wielding both a functional chainsaw and a shotgun, but honestly, it wasn't really a big deal to him. "I know what I'm doing. I teach physics."

[punchvolcanoes]

"Ohhh...." Huh now that was just completely confusing. "What are you then?" She couldn't make anything out of that, she needed answers.

For a Charizard raised in a world where the bad guys were faster to whip out their Pokemon than use guns or chainsaws, these things were a big deal.

"Physics..." Hey, wasn't that what the blond guy had told her about. The really complicated book. Jeff right? How what had he called the physics guy. Fa-fa... "Hey! You're Farakon!" Well...she almost remembered his name.

"Weirdo. Freak of science. Pyrokinetic." He replied, twisting a little to inspect fire damage on the back of his shirt (not that his shirt wasn't a mess to begin with). "Whatever you want to call it. Other than that, I'm an average human."

The Captain was not terribly surprised she already knew his name. New students tended to ask about their classes, after all. "Falcon." He corrected gently.

"Oh I see." No she didn't, but then again Sabrina could make things levitate right? Maybe Blaine knew how to use fire and she didn't know.

"Falcon..." she repeated with a smile. That immediately turned into concern. "Why is your class so difficult?!"

"You...haven't even been to my class." He said, quite obviously perplexed.

"Well it's just...I saw one of the guys reading a book when we arrived here, he had blond hair and glasses" she explained, the tragedy visible on her face. "There were so many numbers and equations, I didn't know what to make of it!"

"You met Jeff." Well, that might explain why she was super intimidated about his class. "Well, you don't have to take it right away if you don't want to, but of course it's going to look difficult if you haven't heard about any of it before."

"I lived in the mountains for most of my life! We only had a tiny television and played Rock Band for most of the days unless we had trainers come to us to fight. Well, that and the workouts but we had a lot of free time. We had books, but nothing that complicated." She stopped talking to grin. "I like reading!"

Okay, so she was a mountain hermit. A mountain hermit that liked reading and rock band. How did they even get electricity up on the mountain? Pikachu in a hamster wheel.

"What do you like to read?"

The answer Falcon was Pikachu in a hamster wheel power generators Powered by Pikachus.

She gave it some serious thought before answering.

"I like to read a lot of things. At first it was just basic stuff like Green Eggs and Gyrados Egg, but I eventually moved into Harry Potter and Teen Witch and Lord of the Power Rings."

What a redundant book. Still, it was probably more than Falcon had ever read, so he shrugged.

"Well, if you want to sit in a class and then decide, you can certainly do that."

"Okay! I'll do my best." Maybe he had books like physics for beginners or something.

"Man where are my manners. Kojiro would be so disappointed..." She extended her hand. "Name's Sasha! I'm Red's Charizard!"

He gave all his copies of "Physics for Dummies" to Max.

"Nice to meet you." Falcon put forth his right hand, only to realize that it was still encased in a chainsaw. He pulled his lips tight and switched hands. "Sorry."

Bummer.

"Nah don't be. I wish I had a chain saw hand."

No really. She kinda did.

He removed the apparatus and set it down on the pavement (it was kind of heavy), shaking out his actual, much more boring hand.

"You know, the more I think about it, I kind of wish I did too. Or like some kind of swiss army robot hand with a bunch of different functions."

She looked in near horror as the chainsaw hand came off and stared at it for a minute before looking back at him.

"Oh...I almost thought it really was your arm." She laughed awkwardly. "Hahaha! Oops!"

Man that was like...the third person he'd managed to confuse with that thing. It must have been very convincing.

"Nah, I built it. You're not the first one to think it was my real hand."

"You can build chainsaws?! Don't they...usually make them in factories or something? Do we get to do that in Physics?"
