Warnings: Spooky stuff.

Except it's not really all that dark and stormy. It's a cool, clear night in Final Destination, ready and waiting for shenanigans of all sorts. The streets are full of trick-or-treaters, the front porches are full of pumpkins, the sky is full of stars. All-in-all...a perfect evening.

Of course, nothing is always as it seems. As the night drags on, it becomes clear that something is not quite right. But what is Halloween without a few scares? As someone once said, it's close to midnight, and something evil's lurking in the dark...

Claus was not in costume. In fact, he was in all black. Generally, he was a pretty good kid, but when it came to causing mischief, he was much more willing to do so than his more timid twin. This particular night Claus felt that a little harmless, totally (semi... if you work at it) washable graffiti was in order. He looked around shiftily, dropped his bag, and started to take out a few cans.

But Claus was not alone. Some distance away stood a strange figure, unflinching, unmoving, with an unsettling stare that bored into the student.
