Culinary Arts: Log 03

Who: Raikov, students, lurkers.
What: People failing at cooking
Where: Where ever Volgin's class is.
When: October 20th, early afternoon before Art Class.
Warnings: Angry Russian.

[Last week was a sad excuse for a proper class. Seeing as Kyle had no teaching experience, Raikov decided to take things in to his own hand. He had a lot of free time thanks to 2 and a half weeks without Volgin... which was starting to wear on him. So this meant he was going to be extra snippy today, both with culinary arts and art class.]

Alright, class. Unlike last week, you're going to all be making the same thing. Open your books to page 57.

[He waits for everyone to find the page]

We will be making Chicken Kiev. It's a fairly easy recipe. Please follow it as closely as possible.

::Max does the butter thing, which isn't too hard::

::He then goes to pound a chicken breast to 1/4 inch thickness::

::Oops, with the first hit it turned into... raw chicken mush::

::Well there are some more chicken breasts those will probably work okay::

::No, this one is chicken paste::

::And the third one::

::And the fourth one. The fourth one, that Max tried really hard to not pound into nothingness was hit so gently that nothing happened so Max got angry and sorta hit it harder a little bit. And now it's chicken mush.::

::So Max takes the cold balls of butter and shapes the chicken around the balls of butter, as if he were making some mushy chicken meatballs::

::And he pretends nothing at all is wrong with this, and rolls them around in the breading and bakes them and so Max has some chicken kiev meatball-things::

::They look misshapen and odd::
