What is love? Baby don't flirt me, don't flirt me no more
Who: Lash and You (OPEN LOG TIME!)
What: Lash tries to flirt like Blacky taught her, and horrible things happen.
Where: All over campus on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
When: Whenever you want, bby
Warnings: Horrible flirting.
Suggested Music: This song.
Well, she told herself she would do it. Now it was only a question of who would Lash come upon first. Deep breaths, calming voice, being in control. She could do that easily. The hardest part was how the other person would react, and keeping her short fuse in check.
It was a recipe for disaster, that was for certain.
((OOC - Much like an open office log, you tell me what date, time and where your character is. I will have Lash moving all around the school looking for victims and she has three days off from work, so anywhere from 6am to midnight is fine.
Yes, girls can come too.
Both log and action posts are allowed! Go with what you feel like doing, I will reply accordingly. Have fun, enjoy both of our characters making each other uncomfortable.))

Re: Friday, 6 PM!
"A-At least no one else got it, right? Was it okay? Did you like the small coded graph with all of the current CO relationships? I couldn't believe about Jess and Max at first either."
Re: Friday, 6 PM!
"I couldn't believe it either." Not that the sex lives of Orange Star COs were something he really thought about, but the intel would have given him a good laugh if Hawke was the laughing sort.
"Good work." He said, before pausing. Lash had been losing a lot of friends lately and... "How have you been?"
Re: Friday, 6 PM!
She bit her lip, letting her gun lower a bit more before answering.
"Better than last week," she finally admitted. Maybe telling him about her last three days wasn't a good idea. Hawke wouldn't approve of her flirting shenanigans. "I've been doing a lot of projects to pass time. Work's okay. I'm still a little shaken from Adder leaving, but at least we have the mansion, right? Lugia left me a lot of books and some old submarines, Ho-Oh left me some art materials and some cookbooks, and it's not like we can't use telecommunications. They said they'd call, once in a while. Besides, they are Legendaries. They've got a near infinite lifetime. If I don't see them this year, then maybe the next. Or ten. Or twenty. Who knows." She looked at the ground for a minute. "Whenever it rains too much, I'll know Lugia's in a bad mood, or if there's a rainbow, I'll know Ho-Oh was close by. That's enough for me. It's not like they're gone forever. Besides, even the dead come back, sometimes."
Lash smiled at her leader. "I mean, you're proof of that, aren't you?"
no subject
But there was no sense in getting bogged down in missing people...
"I saw those books, yes." And he appreciated them. He always liked having new things to read.
"They cared about you. You'll see them again."
no subject
(read: mostly)emotionally detached man got so many reactions out of her.Hawke's words rang true like a second confirmation she'd been needing. She'd certainly see them again. It felt nice having people who cared, even if they were far away. Like tiny lights she could reach out and grab if she desired. Despite all the hardships and heartbreaks, the school had been rather kind to her. How different would her life had been if...
"I don't doubt it," she reaffirmed, scratching her nose. "Hopefully Lugia won't have gained too much weight from Ho-Oh's cooking."
Remembering Nabooru's words a few hours earlier, she leaned on the railing closer to him, putting her gun in her other arm.
"What about you? How have you been?" Even if it had been close to year since he'd arrived, any type of small talk with Hawke always felt so strange. Nice, but strange. Maybe she simply hadn't been completely deprogrammed yet, but Lash felt she should be talking about warfare more so than his well-being. Not that she didn't care...it was just...different. Old habits died hard.

Small talk was always strange, even with Lash. It probably always would be. Things were just so much easier when they were status reports and strategy and battle plans. The mundane life of the school was still a little awkward for him.
"I've been well." He began, wondering when their shoulders started touching. "I've been preoccupied with getting the mansion in order. Drafting up budgets. Nothing particularly exciting."
no subject
"Maybe you should try a few more activities? Did you try horseback riding yet?" Hawke could be like one of those charismatic leaders giving a speech before the battle like Kanbei did...except it wasn't his style either. The vision disappeared in a puff of smoke. "Chess? we haven't played a game of chess in a while....uh speaking of which, you're not too mad about the sound and gaming system, right?" Somehow it felt better if she got his approval for it, even if Lash would have done it anyway. "I got it cheap and I installed it myself."
no subject
"Horseback riding?" Did they even have that at this school? It wouldn't surprise him, and he wasn't sure if he'd look incredibly silly or incredibly intimidating atop a horse. Chess was much more his style. "I'd enjoy a game of chess with you." They hadn't played in a while, after all. "And I don't mind the game system, as long as it's not a distraction to work."
no subject
Unless they played Wizard's Chess."Don't worry, I think I've been balancing, school, work and...my other work quite well. You've seen my school reports, right?" Not that she was one to...okay Lash just liked to brag. A lot. Came with the territory. "Not that it was hard or anything, tee hee hee."
no subject
"Of course I have. I wouldn't expect anything less."
Did they keep horses around the school? "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try."

It was a wonder why she was only in her second year of high school. Lash could easily be teaching the material herself if she wasn't so immature. Then again, some teachers weren't as better than she was. Even Flak was a year ahead of her.
The student really hadn't expected a lot of things to happen. Her original plan was to register at the lowest grade level and breeze in her classes, all the while staying four glorious years away from Orange Star independence. Then Hawke showed up. Then Flak. She made friends here and became close to other adults. Now it was just a question of not really wanting to leave. At times she wondered if that was too selfish, even for her.
"Maybe next week, then?" Her voice sounded full of hope and joy. Maybe it was selfish but she would stay here. Just a year more or two... If only Lash had been there during the robot powered unicorns, she might have insisted they ride those instead...
She spun her gun around. "How about a little bit of practice before that chess match?"
no subject
The Academy was an unexpected new home.
"I'd like that." He said, taking his own gun from inside his jacket. A little shooting practice couldn't hurt.
no subject
Sadly Lash did not have the bandanna of infinite ammo.Getting back, she loaded up two new shooting papers. The one on her side had a hand drawn red hairdo tacked on to the top of it and a gigantic pair of red lips. She gave Hawke a small smile as he probably noticed her crude modifications. Old rivalries died hard, not to mention it was always fun to make fun of Kindle when the overgrown asparagus head wasn't here.
"Let's start this simple. Three shots, no reloading allowed. Closest to the heart wins. Deal?"
no subject
"Deal." Hawke raised his firearm briefly before reconsidering. "What does the winner get?"
Nothing wrong with a little stakes, of course.

Hawke wasn't entirely sure who would win. When it came to conventional weapons, like what they were using now, he had a bit of an advantage, but Lash was always improving herself. Death rays and more...interesting firearms were her specialty. Though if he had to be honest, the results of this one were up in the air.
"The winner..." He began, choosing his terms wisely. "Chooses the next mission."
He raised his firearm again. "Ready when you are."
no subject
She fired all three shots in a quick bursts. Two went dead center, the third a little too high. Still a pretty good effort at that speed. Kindle would be dead in a pool of her own blood if that had been real oh, she only wished it was.
no subject
When he lowered his weapon and inspected his shooting paper. Three shots, right through the heart.
"Hm."
no subject
"I guess you beat me fair and square, birdbrain. Next mission's objective is all yours."
no subject
For now, however, Hawke had claimed victory, and he holstered his pistol, further inspecting the two sheets.
"I think...I would like to reclaim our documents from Orange Star."
no subject
But in many ways she had been expecting it to become a problem sooner or later, ever since Hawke had come back.
So it began, then.
"The main problem is we can't just take the files. They know you're here and...pardon the pun, are watching all three of us like hawks. Flak's petty spats with Max aren't helping either. We'll need an air-tight alibi, and a time window of less than two hours, including transport. I know some of Orange's Star's defenses, but they've kept me out of the loop for the past year. They don't let me into those documents. Even when I tried to find my parent's location, they carried me blindfold into the lower levels of the barracks."
no subject
"We don't have to take them. Just copy them or take readable pictures of them."
It was going to be tricky, but he didn't think it would be impossible. "Raiden." He said matter-of-factly. "I'm sure they know of him, but I doubt they're watching him like they're watching me."
no subject
She pondered about using the school's janitor. "Yeah he's not bad but Sami didn't trust him. And now she's back in Orange Star. Besides, if it gets caught they'd..." She might have suddenly realized she didn't want Raiden's friendship destroyed, or ruin his life. "would capture him and make him talk. Do we want to risk them finding out about the fact we recruited him in?"
no subject
Unless...
"Or we could use Jake."
no subject
Lash bit her lip before answering. Maybe she could...
"What if...I could copy some of the chip's routine, and make you a proper robot?"
