What: Lash tries to flirt like Blacky taught her, and horrible things happen.

Well, she told herself she would do it. Now it was only a question of who would Lash come upon first. Deep breaths, calming voice, being in control. She could do that easily. The hardest part was how the other person would react, and keeping her short fuse in check.

It was a recipe for disaster, that was for certain.

((OOC - Much like an open office log, you tell me what date, time and where your character is. I will have Lash moving all around the school looking for victims and she has three days off from work, so anywhere from 6am to midnight is fine.

Yes, girls can come too.

He was angry with her. It was different than all the other times when he had been angry with her, somehow, and she felt a pain in her chest.

She hadn't expected that, despite everything. Their relationship had changed somewhat during the last year, or at least she thought it had. The firefly festival came to mind. When it suddenly called forth for her to be like the old days, she found herself knocked out. Why hadn't she expected this? She should have...Lash remained quiet as he went on about manipulations, holding back the urge to just storm out. Ironic, considering her activity for the past three days. Unsure why, she remained, her hand grasping the gun tighter as he went on. Her mind was a blur, but a thought kept coming back. They were here for me the year you were gone. She finally found her voice when he finished.

"...Yeah, I hear you loud and clear." Monotone. Lash was stuck between feeling awkward at the whole situation, or just disappointed in herself for not wanting to put others in the line of fire. She used to live for this. The Lash of two years ago would never have had that problem. That was the Lash Hawke expected her to be. It was like two voices in her head screaming to be more like they were. She just wanted to reach a compromise, but had a feeling this was just the beginning of a massive headache. Trying to show a bit more confidence, she added, "With what I've got planned, they'll never be able to capture him. I promise."

So why did she feel so helpless all of a sudden? Hadn't she once told him, confidently, I only do what I want to do?

What did she want right now?

Lash spun her gun before shooting at the paper again. Perfect headshot, right between the eyes. Her ears were ringing from the sound, but the student didn't mind. She'd heard stronger noises from the end of a tank. It gave her other things to concentrate on.

He watched her shoot at the paper once more and though he understood that she was taking out at least some kind of frustration, he didn't show it. Instead, Hawke holstered his own gun and decided it might be best for now to leave her to her thoughts.

Judging by her tone of voice, or lack thereof, however, he could tell that said thoughts were quite turbulent. Yet again, Hawke had to question where her loyalties had drifted after over a year at the school and nearly two with Orange Star.

"Keep me updated." He said, starting to walk back to the teacher's dorms.

She took it as a sign that it meant the chess match was off. Maybe it was better than way. Lash honestly had no idea what to say at that point but nod.

"Yeah." She felt her vision clouding, and a headache coming on. Even her throat felt sore...

No. Not now. She breathed in and bit her lip.
