Well, she told herself she would do it. Now it was only a question of who would Lash come upon first. Deep breaths, calming voice, being in control. She could do that easily. The hardest part was how the other person would react, and keeping her short fuse in check.

It was a recipe for disaster, that was for certain.

((OOC - Much like an open office log, you tell me what date, time and where your character is. I will have Lash moving all around the school looking for victims and she has three days off from work, so anywhere from 6am to midnight is fine.

Yes, girls can come too.

Both log and action posts are allowed! Go with what you feel like doing, I will reply accordingly. Have fun, enjoy both of our characters making each other uncomfortable.))

Hawke was well aware of the potential difficulties of the undertaking. But the fact of the matter stood--those were not Orange Star's documents. Lash did not belong to Orange Star as far as he was concerned, and he resented the fact that Nell and Hachi exerted so much control over her. He frowned.

"We don't have to take them. Just copy them or take readable pictures of them."

It was going to be tricky, but he didn't think it would be impossible. "Raiden." He said matter-of-factly. "I'm sure they know of him, but I doubt they're watching him like they're watching me."

All obstacles he'd anticipated and would find a way around them. It was just a matter of outsmarting them. With Jake, Rachel, Max and Andy at the school, there was really only Nell, Hachi and Sami to worry about. At this point, he considered Raiden to be their best bet.

Unless...

"Or we could use Jake."

Savior or not, Jake was the most trusting of the Orange Star COs, and therefore their best bet. He wasn't quite sure if Jake would take him to the Orange Star barracks, but if they played their cards right, they could quite possibly use him to reclaim all of their old documents. It was the best option and...

...Lash didn't seem to want to go through with it. Was that...hesitation?

"We could build the robot anyway." He said, rubbing his chin. "But you have to admit Jake is probably our best bet if we want to go through with this."

It boggled him how much Lash was missing the point. It was almost as if she was purposefully missing the point. "Obviously not. Don't tell me you've forgotten how to manipulate. You're smarter than to ask him outright. Ask about your parents. Invent an excuse for him to take you to where they keep the records, distract him, and we get what you need. Rachel, Nell and Hachi trust him. He trusts us. We can use that." Easier said than done, of course. But certainly a more favorable course of action in his mind.

"And if our robot is intercepted they will have access to that technology. But fine. If you want to build the robot, build the robot." He said, unable to mask the petulance in his voice. At this point it just seemed like she was making excuses to not involve other people and that was...disappointing. The Lash of two years ago would not have hesitated. "If it fails, or if Orange Star gets their hands on it, we do it my way."

He watched her shoot at the paper once more and though he understood that she was taking out at least some kind of frustration, he didn't show it. Instead, Hawke holstered his own gun and decided it might be best for now to leave her to her thoughts.

Judging by her tone of voice, or lack thereof, however, he could tell that said thoughts were quite turbulent. Yet again, Hawke had to question where her loyalties had drifted after over a year at the school and nearly two with Orange Star.

"Keep me updated." He said, starting to walk back to the teacher's dorms.
