Open Log: Now with 97% more molting!

Characters: Pit, anyone
What: Pit is undergoing extreme *~bodily changes~* like puberty or menstruation and is losing feathers like pocket change in a holy pocket.
Where: Up to you!
When: From Saturday, September 19th to Saturday, September 26.
Warnings: PINFEATHERS. 8C Self-conscious angels? Gdit. Not that he isn't going through perpetual molt already.

Basically, this is just a log where you can bump into Pit. Anywhere, anytime, anyone. Extra emphasis on ANYONE. You can find him in his room, you can meet him on the roof, down the halls, in between classes, in the courtyard, the common room, training at the stadium... anywhere! Just write in a date, time, and location. I will even wedge in a few starting threads to make it easier on those who can't think of a place/situation to interact with him. I should also mention that the further into the week you go, the worse his molt is. But I mean it: any excuse is good! I love tagging you guys, okay? 8C

A certain sheen and bigger size. At least now Jeff knew what to look out for. "I see..." Shrugging, he gave into a whim and placed the feather behind his ear.

As a second thought, he wondered just how clean the feathers really were. Considering they were strewn across the room, he hoped they didn't contain any germs that could be detriment to his health. He had never actually seen Pit preen his feathers, so who knew. Then again, an image of the angel preening seemed rather ridiculous.

"Any other angel quirks I should be aware of? You know, like laying eggs or something?" he joked.

"It's more that I would like to be prepared for anything that could possibly be considered an inconvenience," he replied. Truth be told, that was only half the reason. Jeff really was interested, but he refused to admit that out loud. Especially in front of the angel.

Glancing over at his roommate, the blond frowned at Pit's amused face. This whole conversation had meant to guilt-trip the other boy into cleaning up all the feathers. Laughter was not the desired effect, yet Jeff could feel his own mood lightening. Damn the angel and his infectious good spirits!

"Though I suppose I'm... maybe just a little bit... kind of curious..." he muttered, hoping Pit hadn't heard him.

Oh that was a low blow, Pit. Not only because Jeff had heard that joke about thirty times before, but also because it was a constant reminder of his connection with his father. Scowling, he retorted, "No, of course not. And don't think you were being clever, because that joke's already been done before."

Well now he was just in a foul mood. Even the angel's good cheer couldn't detract him from his mental ranting about his dad. So instead, he simply sat there, quietly sulking and absentmindedly playing with some of the feathers between his fingers.

Narrowing his eyes, Jeff barked, "For crying out loud. Just how dumb can you be? That has nothing to with--" He cut himself off. His frown deepened. "Just... forget it."

Great, now the angel was giving him the 'kicked puppy' look. None of this had actually been Pit's fault. The other boy had just said some loaded words without even realizing it. And since Jeff never really talked that much about his family, it was understandable.

"Look... It has nothing to do with you," he muttered. An uncomfortable feeling grew in the pit of his stomach. "It's just... I don't like talking about my last name."

That was it. He wasn't going to expand on it. Nope, most definitely not. There were some things he preferred to keep under wraps, especially towards those who had no business knowing about his family life. But if Pit continued to look at him like that, Jeff had the sinking feeling that if the angel asked, he probably would tell.

The sarcastic and still ticked off part of Jeff's mind hissed, You would. But considering the genuine look of confusion on Pit's face, he decided against saying his thoughts out loud.

"As an actual name, I guess it's alright..." he slowly started. "It's just... I don't like sharing the same last name as my dad. We're not exactly on... 'friendly terms'."

"No..." his scowl deepened, "Not always. It's actually been a sort of recent occurrence." Shaking his head, he tried his best to explain the situation without giving all the details. "Let's just say that I didn't agree with one of my dad's major decisions. It was a real eye opener about his morals... or rather lack thereof."

He frowned, thinking about the angel's words. "Disappointed is one word for it." But when Pit asked for more of an explanation, Jeff couldn't help but shake his head. "I can't say. All I can tell you is that we made a deal. If I didn't say anything, then he promised to try to be better. Though... I had no idea if he's staying true to his word or not."

Sighing, the blond realized he was telling Pit more than he had every told anyone else. Even Hyde didn't know about the teen's compromise with his father. Telling so much of the truth left him feeling a bit vulnerable. And he didn't like it.

"I already told you, I can't say!" Jeff snapped. He suddenly looked away, feeling slightly guilty for shouting at his roommate. "Look, I just... can't, alright?" Considering his father had dealt with a crime syndicate, it was pretty close to what Pit had been thinking. His voice quiet, he muttered, "Please just... stop asking about it."

'Better himself'? Jeff bitterly laughed. No, his father shouldn't have agreed to work with them in the first place. But the blond couldn't exactly tell Pit that. A dry smirk grew on his face. "Maybe."

His smirk immediately faded when Pit apologized. "It's... just something I rather not think about. That's all." Of course after this conversation, he had no doubt that he was going to waste quite some time later that night pouting angsting reflecting. Waving it off, he replied, "Don't worry too much about it."

"Yeah, I do," he replied, his mood slightly improving. "She's a really nice person. Totally unlike my dad. Though she can be a bit on the oblivious side sometimes." A small smile grew on his lips as he spoke about his mom.

"She's really beautiful. Has long hair and really clear blue eyes. I get my blond hair from her," he stated. "In my opinion, she wears way too much make-up. But during the rare occasions when she doesn't wear as much, she could easily be mistaken for a famous model or actress." Chuckling, he added, "I wouldn't be surprised if she actually wanted to be either of those when she was growing up."

Jeff was about to ask Pit about the angel's mother, but then he remembered. So instead, he asked, "What does Palutena look like?"

Jeff quirked an eyebrow. Geez, talk about overkill. Sure the blond had gone on about his own mom, but this was just ridiculous. "You practice that speech a lot or what?"

Though he couldn't help that nagging feeling of curiosity. Even if she was a goddess and he was a mortal, he couldn't help but want to meet her. But that was a very doubtful happening. Not wanting to seem dumb, he decidedly kept his mouth shut.
